We’re glad Rozay is taking his recent health scare more seriously than he seemed to initially. According to TMZ , Rozay has cancelled the second show he had scheduled for this weekend. With his health still a major concern, Rick Ross has decided to play it easy this weekend … rescheduling his L.A. concert for 2012 so he can focus on his recovery. As TMZ first reported, Rick suffered two seizures last week before a performance in Memphis — which he canceled — and promoters think it’s still too soon for Ross to get back on stage. Promoters believe Ross needs more time to get better — so they contacted his people and the two camps agreed to reschedule the L.A. performance to January. Promoters also tell TMZ, “Pushing [Ross] to do a show that he was not prepared to do was not beneficial to anyone.” Yesterday, our sister site HipHopWired.com reported that Rozay’s Atlanta performance, which was scheduled for this Friday as part of Georgia State University homecoming festivities had also been cancelled. While Ross has yet to speak about his health and there are still no details about exactly what caused him to have two seizures in one day , at least three of his friends have revealed in recent interviews that they are encouraging him to chill and focus on his health, and that he is absolutely taking it light.
Hide Ya Kids! Especially if you live in Texas… According to a study out of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston: 1. Almost one in 10 Texas 6th graders have had sex. 2. The percentage of Texas7th and 8th graders who have had sex is 22 and 29 percent respectively. 3. Of high school-aged kids, 32 percent of 9th graders, 41 percent of 10th graders, 53 percent of 11th graders and 62 percent of 12th graders have had sex. 4. Just over one third of the entire public middle and high school population are sexually experienced. 5. Texas students are more likely to report having had sex with four or more partners and are less likely to have used birth control or condoms. 6. Texas students are also significantly less likely to receive education about HIV or AIDS in school. 7. Males are significantly more likely than their counterparts to report having sex for the first time before age 13, having more than four partners and using drugs or alcohol before having sex. The results come from an analysis of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey, the CDC’s Middle School Youth Risk Behavior Survey and the University of Texas Prevention Research Center’s All About Youth study. Guess that explains why Rick Perry wanted all the kids to get the HPV vaccine before 6th grade… But seriously, where are these kids’ parents? Source

SYDNEY, Australia — They see themselves variously as “filling a gap” in Australian politics and “sticking it up” those American-style neo-cons of Australian society. And while sober discussion of immigration, workers’ rights and economic policy has thus far trumped talk of pornography and pole dancing, the misfits of the Australian Sex Party (ASP) are campaigning voraciously across the country in the lead-up to the Aug. 21 general elections. With their mandate of “keeping the government out of our bedrooms,” ASP’s policies generally revolve around, you guessed it, sex. Straddling the line where sex meets national politics, the policies of the party — formed in 2008 — include greater sex education in schools, opposing mandatory internet filters, more vigorous investigation into claims of child sex abuse in religious institutions and listing medication for treating sexual dysfunctions on the public subsidy program. http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/asia/100812/sex-education-australia-elections added by: ampersand
