And they thought it couldn’t happen. After a nasty back-and-forth a few years back Meek Mill and Drake are back on good terms and today they’re showing the world that a minor misunderstanding shouldn’t lead to a lifelong beef. In their visual to “Going Bad,” Meek and Drake turn up mafia style with a gang of well dressed gentlemen you don’t wanna owe anything to unless you wanna sleep with the fishes or have the present Nipsey Hussle slap life outta you. Back in the ATL Freebandz H.N.I.C. Future comes through with a visual for “Never Stop” where he styles in a luxurious mansion where the women style in black angel wings and push wheelbarrows filled with cash. That must be his monthly sneaker budget . Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from A$AP Rocky, Trevor Jackson, and more. We Don’t Call That Money Over Here: 15 Rappers Who Violated Hov’s Money Phone Rule

Getty Images Here’s A Gallery Of Rapper’s Who Like To Flaunt Their Cash For Everybody To See Since the release of ‘4:44,’ everyone has been bossing up and absorbing the knowledge the all-powerful Shawn Carter dropped on us throughout the album. One bar getting virtually every rapper’s panties in a bunch is the following lyric from “The Story Of O.J.”: “y’all on the ‘Gram holdin’ money to your ear, there’s a disconnect, we don’t call that money over here.” This shot most likely isn’t about one person in particular, because this practice of rappers flaunting their wealth–especially nowadays with Instagram and other social media venues–is completely ubiquitous. Though many credit (read: fault) the new rappers with pictures holding their entire record deal in cash up to their ear, they definitely aren’t the only culprits. Some legends and older rappers have been known to do the same thing, and catch virtually none of the blame. Y’all into the money calls, or you with Jay in thinking it’s corny? Let’s take a look at some of your favorite rappers with ever-so-cherished stacks of money, whether making long-distance phone calls or just flaunting in general:   https://www.instagram.com/p/BLMo3HOhm1t/?taken-by=meekmill https://www.instagram.com/p/BNPfD9UBoCs/?taken-by=fettywap1738 https://www.instagram.com/p/BQvxVlbgTyX/?taken-by=quavohuncho https://www.instagram.com/p/BUORtpPj7DN/?taken-by=champagnepapi https://www.instagram.com/p/BVJP4dXHpI3/?taken-by=21savage https://www.instagram.com/p/8zy-nCsLyL/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BLhP-QjAkXM/?taken-by=lilyachty https://www.instagram.com/p/BSP8N0QA2e7/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BQLtbV9ACsD/?taken-by=quavohuncho https://www.instagram.com/p/BUU-dI4F3Ek/?taken-by=travisscott https://www.instagram.com/p/BMdeQvBhA3P/?taken-by=laflare1017&hl=en https://www.instagram.com/p/BSkLwW7jBo9/?taken-by=hairweavekiller&hl=en https://www.instagram.com/p/BQwAt1Dj418/?taken-by=richforever https://www.instagram.com/p/BWNwmM-F1aq/?taken-by=kodakblack

Making It Rain On Them Hoes: Humpback Hov’s Barneys Collaboration Nets $1 Million

Jay Z’s Barneys Collaboration Nets $1 Million Looks like Jay selling out for Barneys has really paid off. According to Rolling Out: Despite all of the controversy surrounding Jay Z’s holiday collaboration with Barneys, according to the books, it was an overall success. As you may recall, Hov received a plethora of negative press after Barneys was hit with a racial profiling lawsuit, which went viral after the hip hop mogul appeared to side with the franchise. According to NY Daily News, The Shawn Carter Foundation, benefiting mostly college students, will collect over $1 million in profits thanks to sales from the luxury clothing and accessory line Jay Z and Barneys launched just two months ago. Back in October, Jay Z assured the pubic that him moving forward with is partnership despite the bad p.r. was all for a good cause: “This money is going to help individuals facing socio-economic hardships to help further their education at institutions of higher learning.” Do you think Hov did the right thing by continuing to support Barneys.

Humpback Hov Releases Statement Clapping Back At Claims That He’s Choosing Paper Over Politics In Barneys Racial Profiling Scandal!

Shawn Carter finally steps down from The Throne to address the matter at hand Jay Z Releases Statement About Barneys Racial Profiling Scandal Ever since the news broke that Barneys had been accused of racial profiling, Jay Z has found himself in the hot seat as people began to question his motives when he did not immediately renounce his collaborative charity project with the high-end retailer. This evening, Jay released a statement defending his silence against those who implied he lacked empathy for the 2 young , black, victims . Via LifeAndTimes This collaboration lives in a place of giving and is about the Foundation. I am not making a dime from this collection; I do not stand to make millions, as falsely reported. I need to make that fact crystal clear. The Shawn Carter Foundation is the beneficiary and the foundation is receiving 25% of all sales from the collaboration, 10% of all sales generated in the store on November 20th and an additional donation from Barneys. This money is going to help individuals facing socio-economic hardships to help further their education at institutions of higher learning. My idea was born out of creativity and charity… not profit. I move and speak based on facts and not emotion. I haven’t made any comments because I am waiting on facts and the outcome of a meeting between community leaders and Barneys. Why am I being demonized, denounced and thrown on the cover of a newspaper for not speaking immediately? The negligent, erroneous reports and attacks on my character, intentions, and the spirit of this collaboration have forced me into a statement I didn’t want to make without the full facts. Making a decision prematurely to pull out of this project, wouldn’t hurt Barneys or Shawn Carter, but all the people that stand a chance at higher education. I have been working with my team ever since the situation was brought to my attention to get to the bottom of these incidents and at the same time find a solution that doesn’t harm all those that stand to benefit from this collaboration. I am against discrimination of any kind, but if I make snap judgements, no matter who it’s towards, aren’t I committing the same sin as someone who profiles? I am no stranger to being profiled and I truly empathize with anyone that has been put in that position. Hopefully this brings forth a dialogue to effect real change. – Shawn “JAY Z” Carter What do you think of Shawn’s statement? Do you still think he should pull out of his deal with Barneys, or is he right to wait for the facts to emerge?

Sell Out: Camel Man Hov Has Begun The Sale Of His Shares Of The Brooklyn Nets In Order To Represent NBA Players Throught Roc Nation Sports

Ah well, it was a good run while it lasted. Jay-Z Selling His Shares Of The Brooklyn Nets In Order To Represent NBA Players Through Roc Nation Sports Via Yahoo! Entertainment mogul and rapper Jay-Z has started the process of divesting his small share of ownership with the Brooklyn Nets to extend his Roc Nation Sports representation business into basketball, sources told Yahoo! Sports. Jay-Z – whose real name is Shawn Carter – owns less than 1 percent of the Nets, but has been a central public figure in the franchise’s marketing and move from New Jersey to Brooklyn. Selling his share of the Nets is a necessary prelude for Jay-Z to obtain his National Basketball Players Association certification as an agent. NBA rules mandate that no one individual affiliated with a player representation company can have an ownership stake with an NBA team. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation company has partnered with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to launch a sports representation business that recently secured New York Yankees star Robinson Cano. The process is expected to be completed in time for Roc Nation to compete for players entering the June NBA draft, but there’s no guarantee of the timing, sources said. Those within Roc Nation and the CAA alliance aren’t “chasing a clock on this,” one source said. “This isn’t about one draft, but taking the long view of the business.” Rival agents are anxious over the possibilities of Jay-Z on the recruiting trail, believing the lure of his iconic business and cultural standing will have a major impact on attracting top prospects and current league stars. The rich are always plotting a way to get richer. We’re sure between the sale of his shares and his new business interest in sports management, Jiggaman’s pockets will only get fatter. Must Be Nice: Jay-Z Pays Out Generous Dough To New Artist During Art Basel In Miami [Photos]

Jay-Z made this man’s day… Artist Hebru Brantley was just doin’ his thing this past Sunday when he got the sale that will probably change his career forever: According to sources, For many artists, Art Basel Miami is an incomparable opportunity to have their work seen by the eyes of wealthy collectors, top gallery owners, curators from around the world…and Jay-Z. For 31-year old Chicago artist Hebru Brantley, brought to Basel as a finalist in the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Artisan Series, it wasn’t until the last day of the preeminent art fair that his work was discovered by the most distinguished of this pool of viewers, Mr. Shawn Carter himself. Brantley’s piece “Everyone’s Scared,” which earned him a final spot in the annual Art Basel exhibit presented by Bombay Sapphire and Russell Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, sold to Jay for $20K on Sunday night. When LeBron James’ manager Maverick Carter caught sight of the piece on Sunday, December 9th, he immediately knew it was the newest addition to the Shawn Carter Collection that the hip hop king had hoped to find in Miami this year. After being sent a digital image of the artwork, Jay-Z named his price and requested that Brantley deliver “Everyone’s Scared” directly to his hotel room later that evening. Good work man.
