Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton was arrested on charges of DUI this morning, with new details pertaining to the incident making it even more embarrassing for the hitting star. According to the Thornton Police Department, the 39-year old was found stumbling out of a gas station, breath full of alcohol and lottery tickets in hand . Yes, lottery tickets. For a guy who once signed a $141.5 million contract. Helton “made spontaneous statements about drinking two igloo cups of red wine,” police say, and was booked on three counts of drunk driving. To the ball player’s credit, he was “respectful and professional” throughout the ordeal, authorities conclude.

Lindsay Lohan showed up to an amfAR event at Fashion Week last night dressed to the nines and … well … her lips aren’t small. This can’t be normal, can it? While Lohan didn’t show up in totally ridiculous fashion, at least by her exalted standards of couture, it’s hard to take her very seriously in that hood. Or when you look at the rest of the Mean Girls cast then and now . The 26-going-on-45-year-old reportedly showed up at the shindig with Saudi film producer Mohammed Al Turki, who was executive producer on Arbitrage . No word if he’s one of her high-priced escort clients.

For example, yesterday, he sold his Twitter followers a serious pipe dream. 50 Cent caused a mob scene at a party for “Scream 4″ Tuesday night when he tweeted that his fans should join him at the shindig. The rap icon had hit up his Twitter account that afternoon saying, “Come party with me following the premiere of Scream 4 at Mister H tonight in NY.” About 40 fans showed up at the club inside the Mondrian Soho ready to party — but they couldn’t get past the velvet rope at the swanky subterranean hideaway.
