Every season, The Bachelorette spoilers come out before the season even airs. Nothing like the tragedy that unfolded this year has even occurred before, though. Fans were both stunned and saddened in April at news that contestant Eric Hill died suddenly after a paragliding accident, not long after his stint on the show ended. DJ Rashad, a famous DJ in Chicago known for creating a style of dance music known as “Footwork,” was found dead yesterday of a suspended drug overdose. He was 35 years old. Detroit’s DJ Godfather Tweeted the news this afternoon, with police then confirming DJ Rashad’s passing and saying his body was found in his Chicago apartment, with narcotics and drug paraphernalia nearby. An autopsy is scheduled for later today. “We’re absolutely devastated by the news that DJ Rashad has passed away,” wrote the music label Hyperdub on its Facebook page, adding: “It’s heartbreaking to see such a talented and great guy stopped in his tracks like that. So many people do what they do because of him. Our Condolences go out to his friends and family, keep your heads up Teklife Crew x We will really miss you.” DJ Rashad (real name: Rashad Harden) was scheduled to perform alongside DJ Godfather and DJ Spinn at the Inhale Art Expo in Detroit last night. Peaches Geldof, the daughter of world-famous musician Bob Geldof, died Monday in Kent, England. She was only 25, and her father is at an utter loss. “We are beyond pain,” Bob Geldof said in a statement Monday. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.” It remains unclear how Peaches Geldof died , but it came as a shock. Medical personnel were first called to an address in a small town in Kent over “a report of concern for the welfare of a woman” on Monday afternoon. “A woman aged 25 was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service,” Kent Police said later in a statement released to the media. “At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained sudden death . Police are working to establish the circumstances around the death.” A rep added that no further details would be disclosed on Monday. Peaches Geldof is best known for her contributions in the fashion and entertainment industries, where she’s worked as a columnist for Elle magazine. She wrote for UK newspapers the Telegraph and Guardian , and also worked as a TV presenter, hosting a series called OMG! with Peaches Geldof . This is not the first tragedy to have affected the Geldof family. Peaches lost her mother, Paula Yates, in September 2000 due to a drug overdose. Peaches Geldof was just 11 years old when Yates passed away, and she later said it was a struggle for her to accept that her mother had died. “I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it,” Geldof said in an interview with Elle UK in late 2012. “I just blocked it out.” “I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on.’ I didn’t start grieving for my mother properly until I was maybe 16.” Peaches went on to marry rocker Max Drummey, but they split up in 2009 after just six months of marriage and finalized their divorce in 2011. In 2012, she married Thomas Cohen, with whom she shares two young kids, sons Astala, 23 months, and Phaedra, not even 12 months. Cohen released his own statement Monday and said: “My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra. I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday.” “We shall love her forever.” Along with her husband and sons, Geldof is survived by her father, sisters Pixie and Fifi Trixibelle, and half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof. Frankie Knuckles DJ and house music pioneer, died Monday. He was 59. The “godfather,” a Chicago resident, “died unexpectedly” at home, his longtime business partner Frederick Dunson confirmed to the Chicago Tribune . Bronx-born Frankie Warren Knuckles Jr. (yup, his real name) honed his DJ skills in NYC, moving to Chicago in the late ’70s as the disco scene was dying. Along with a group of house music innovators, the young Knuckles went on to become a cult hero overseas in Europe’s rave-oriented club scene. Also a producer, Knuckles went on to work with some of music’s biggest stars, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Depeche Mode, and Diana Ross. Mick Jagger says he is still “struggling to understand” why his girlfriend L’Wren Scott, a renowned fashion designer, ended her life in New York yesterday. On his website, Jagger posted a black and white photo of the former model, simply titling it “L’Wren.” On the homepage, he wrote a brief statement: I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me. I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her, Mick The 49-year-old designer was found dead in her apartment of an apparent suicide, according to police. Her motivation for doing so is very much unclear. Scott was a renowned stylist and fashion designer whose clothes have been worn by A-listers including Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz. In addition to her career in fashion, in which she earned a legion of famous fans, Scott had been romantically linked to Jagger for more than a decade. Jagger and his band were on tour in Australia when they received news of L’Wren Scott’s death . His rep denied that a Jagger split may have played a role. The band announced today that it has postponed its tour of Australia and New Zealand, which had been scheduled for Mar. 19 through April 5. Comedian David Brenner, a comedian and regular on The Tonight Show, has died after a battle with cancer, a family spokesman said. He was 78. Brenner was a staple on Johnny Carson’s late-night TV show, appearing 158 times (more than any other guest) according to a bio on his official site. He also helped write, produce and direct 115 TV documentaries, earning him nearly 30 awards, and was the author of five books over the years. Even in death, Brenner kept the jokes coming – a tough feat. His final request, according to spokesman Jeff Abraham, was to have $100 in small bills tucked in his sock, “just in case tipping is recommended where I’m going.” His grave site will also read: “If this is supposed to be a joke … then I don’t get it!” That’s pretty great. Comedian Joan Rivers, a longtime friend, Tweeted: “RIP David Brenner. I adored him, and laughed more with him than anybody. Sad, sad, sad.
