An elementary school teacher in Hillsborough, N.C., Kristen Thompson, has resigned after her colleagues reported her for threatening to shoot up Pathways Elementary School according to Fox8 . Thompson has bee charged with communicating a threat of mass violence by the Orange County Sheriff’s office: “This situation is being handled by law enforcement with the safety of our students and school staff as our utmost concern. Meanwhile, this situation is also being dealt with by school leadership as a personnel issue as well as a safety one. As such, the principal and other administrators are strictly forbidden by law from sharing information about the case. A threat of school violence is understandably unsettling for the community. Please know that the school and law enforcement are working together as a team to ensure the last few weeks of the school year are safe and productive for our students.” Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! It’s bad enough we have to worry about psychopaths murdering school kids, now we gotta worry about the damn teachers too?!?! SMH.
Source: Johnny Louis / Getty Former “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” Couple Back In Court Over Toddler Bonnie Bella Reality star Stevie J says he’s concerned for his youngest daughter’s safety and has asked a judge to award him full custody of the girl while accusing his former co-star and lover Joseline Hernandez of purposely cutting him out of their daughter’s life. The former Bad Boy producer filed a flurry of court documents earlier this week alleging that Hernandez committed “parental alienation” after she hightailed it to Miami to shack up with another guy. Jordan said his daughter’s mother won’t let him visit the now three year old, speak to her on the phone or have a say in her day to day upbringing – which are all violations of their paternity agreement. Jordan said that Hernandez has blocked him from doing things like participating in the little girl’s academic life and she refuses to communicate with him about the girl’s development – even their Miami address, his court filing – which was obtained by BOSSIP – states. Interestingly, Jordan also claimed that he fears for Bonnie’s safety and well being, and has asked the judge to appoint a “guardian ad litem” whose job is to represent Bonnie Bella’s best interests and eventually report their findings to the judge. He says he is more financially and mentally stable to care for the little girl, and has a safe and loving home to raise Bonnie in with new wife, Faith Evans, his adult children and extended family, according to court documents. Source: David Becker / Getty Bonnie Bella was born in December 2016 amid a nasty breakup between her parents that devolved into an acrimonious paternity battle. Each side accused the other in family court of drug abuse, cheating and violence. But last year, both Hernandez and Jordan agreed to Hernandez having primary physical custody of Bonnie, with Jordan getting weekend visitation and a say on things like her schooling, healthcare, religion and extracurricular activities, court documents say. The “Leave It To Stevie” star said that Bonnie and his relationship has ultimately suffered because of Hernandez’s actions, and he wants a judge to punish her. He also wants Hernandez to pay child support to him if the judge awards him primary custody. We’ve reached out to both Hernandez and Jordan’s lawyers for comment. A judge has yet to rule on Jordan’s request.
Source: Robert Alexander / Getty Texas Cop Fired For Killing Unarmed Black Man While we’re glad that this cop is facing a real punishment for taking the life of a Black man, we can’t help be wish this was the rule and not the exception. According to NYPost , an Arlington, Texas police officer, Bau Tran, was fired and charged with the criminally negligent homicide of 24-year-old O’Shae Terry last September. Texas isn’t exactly a place where police are held to a standard of accountability when it comes to violence against people, but especially people of color. Tran shot Terry on Sept. 1 after another officer pulled the Forest Hill resident over on a registration violation. After talking for several minutes, body camera footage shows Tran grabbing the passenger-side window of the SUV Terry was driving as it begins to roll up. The officer stepped on to the vehicle’s running board as it started to move, pointed his gun into the SUV and fired multiple shots. Terry later died at a hospital. Tran was initially placed on restrictive duty, but then placed on leave after the grand jury indicted that a$$. Good riddance. Take some of your bacon-scented buddies with you.

Source: Prince Williams / Getty Young Thug Targeted In Miami Drive-By Shooting Just a couple of days after Offset was reportedly targeted in a drive-by shooting in Atlanta, another ATL emcee is the target of an attack. According to reports, Young Thug ‘s car and two buses party buses driving his team were hit in a drive-by shooting in Miami on Friday morning. Although Thugga was not hit, three people from his team were injured — however, the rapper was present on the scene when rounds were fired. TMZ reports: “Thug was riding in a Ferrari alongside the 2 buses on I-95 around 6 AM when someone pulled up next to them and opened fire. Law enforcement sources say 2 men and a woman who were on the buses were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.” Sources say that the rapper and his crew were headed to the Miami Beach Hotel at the time of the shooting. Police are still investing the incident. Prayers up.
Source: Mark Boster / Getty New Report Proves Officer Lied About Details Of Oscar Grant Shooting According to CNN , a newly released report reveals even more disturbing details about the murder of Oscar Grant, an unarmed black man who was fatally shot by a police officer more than 10-years ago. On New Year’s Day 2009, 22-year-old Oscar Grant was pulled off a train by Bay Area Rapid Transit(BART) officers who were responding to reports of a fight on public transportation. Grant was struck multiple times and forced to lie face down on the Fruitvale train platform. Moments later, officer Johannes Mehserle shot him in the back. Mehserle claimed the shooting was “unintentional”, and that he meant to draw his taser and not his gun. A jury convicted Mehserle on an involuntary manslaughter charge and he spent roughly seven months behind bars. The incident also resulted in the termination of Anthony Pirone, a former BART officer who was accused of trying to conceal the details surrounding Grant’s murder. Pirone was one of the first officers to encounter Grant at Fruitvale BART Station on the night of the shooting. Witnesses described him as a “crazy cop,” and claimed he had screamed racial slurs at Grant shortly before Mehserle opened fire. Pirone reportedly told authorities he was “fighting for his life” after Grant allegedly kneed him in the groin; however, a bystander’s video of the incident did not support the ex-officer’s claims. “None of this appears to have happened during the video,” investigators wrote in the report. An autopsy report also revealed Grant had suffered a hemorrhage during the incident, after he was kneed in the head—a detail Pirone failed to disclose to authorities. “Pirone used force against Grant as a first resort and even then the use of force … did not appear reasonable, justifiable or excusable,” the report stated. “[Pirone’s] willful and reckless conduct … endangered the safety of the public.” New details from a 144-page report completed by Meyers Nave Law Firm, which led BART’s internal investigation into the shooting, show inconsistencies in the stories. “The reports clearly show that because of the officers not deescalating a situation, but escalating a situation, my son is not here today,” Grant’s mother, Wanda Johnson, KRON4. “The people on the platform, you know, still, 10 years later, having to play that in their minds, over and over and over, unnecessarily.”

A 66-year old man is facing aggravated assault charges after firing his gun at two juveniles and an adult who wouldn’t leave the community pool. Richard Marcelle approached the young people, saying that the pool was closed and they needed to leave, despite the fact that the pool was still open. After realizing that the pool was open until 10pm, and it was 9pm when Marcelle approached them, the victims approached the man and told him that they were going to stay because the pool was still open. But Marcelle wasn’t having it. He blocked the victims as they tried to get back into the pool area and then fired a small revolver-style handgun at the soil. Capt. Christopher Roos, with the Ormond Beach Police Department says there are no signs that the trio was doing anything illegal. He added, “[Marcelle] is a member of the HOA and the HOA did actually change the pool hours. However, they hadn’t notified the homeowner’s association members yet or posted it. The video definitely shows him holding a handgun, and you can see where it looks like a round fires off into the ground and you can see the dust from the ground kicks up at the same time.” Thanks to surveillance video at the club house, police identified Marcelle as a suspect in the case. Footage also showed that the victims were unarmed and posed no threat to the man. Marcelle has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and firing a gun.

She says she thought to herself that someone “has got to come up with a solution”, so she created the pouch, hoping would keep young men from reaching around their cars while looking for license and registration documents and setting off potentially dangerous interactions with the police. Carter told NBC News : “I’m more fearful [for my son] in a car here than [when he’s serving] in Afghanistan.” Meanwhile, a Washington, DC police officer noted: “Anything that you can’t see throws you into that red flag or heightened mode. But it should never lead you to just assume that they’re trying to kill you.” The pouch has sold more than 1,000 units since it launched three years ago, and Carter says she has given the product away to many drivers in her community. Source: South_agency / Getty Lawsuit Against Cobb County Cop Who Shot Unarmed Teen Upheld Day after day we report on police shootings where the trigger-happy officer faces little to no consequences, today we are happy to report the opposite. According to the AJC , a Cobb County police officer, James Caleb Elliott, will have to answer in court as to why he fired eight shots at unarmed then-16-year-old Neghasi Middleton, one of which struck him in the thigh. The incident was captured on Elliott’s body camera and based on that video U.S. District Court Judge Mark Cohen decided that the civil lawsuit filed against the officer held merit. Back on Nov. 6, 2016, Elliott responded to a call about a suspicious looking vehicle that contained Middleton and 3 other youths. After getting their names and birthdates, Elliott ran the plates and realized the PT Cruiser had been in a carjacking. The officer came back with his gun drawn and told the boys to get out of the car and lay on the ground. Middleton, in fear for his life because police ain’t s#!t, began to run away. Elliott then fired eight shots at him and struck him once. Elliott resigned from the force but Cobb County grand jury determined that the shooting was justified, because of course white cop HAD to shoot unarmed Black boy. SMH. This isn’t Elliott’s first time at the police brutality rodeo. The lawsuit notes that there were three other complaints filed against Elliott. One alleged he was “too aggressive” with a woman who sought assistance for her husband. Another said he demonstrated a racial bias during an accident investigation. Another alleged he used excessive force by pointed his gun at a woman’s chest without justification after he mistakenly went to the wrong address on a call. F**k 12. We hope this guy loses everything he owns in this lawsuit.
