Chris Bosh To Potentially Miss The Rest Of NBA Season With Bloodclots Damn. Via USAToday Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said on Friday there is not a complete diagnosis on forward Chris Bosh’s health condition, but there is concern there is a blood clot in his lung, a person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports. The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about Bosh’s health. Spoelstra told reporters it’s not a life-threatening condition, and doctors are conducting more tests to determine exactly what is ailing 30-year-old Bosh. Blood clots are serious, and if that’s the case with Bosh, he likely will miss the rest of the season as doctors treat him. Two seasons ago, Cleveland’s Anderson Varejao was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung, and he missed the rest of the season. On Jan. 22, doctors discovered multiple blood clots in the lungs of Brooklyn’s Mirza Teletovic, and he was ruled out for the reason. Varejao returned to the court, and Nets team doctor Michael Farber said he expect Teletovic to make a full recovery. This is way bigger than a sports injury and could be potentially be life-threatening. We sincerely hope he recovers. Image via AP

Move over, Google+. Nike has announced a new range of digitally-enabled footwear, Nike+, that uses interactive mobile apps to track and measure movement. The Nike+ Basketball shoes can now measure exactly how high, how hard and how quickly wearers play during each game … like a video game, but real life! Data from the shoe is transmitted to the user’s phone, which can then be compared against other players and used to talk massive smack on social media. Pop superstar Katy Perry will guest star on Raising Hope on the Tuesday, March 6 episode of the Fox sitcom, the network announced via press release this week. She’ll play a prison attendant who claims to be a former friend of Sabrina’s. The episode will find Sabrina arrested after participating in an Occupy Natesville protest. She ends up in jail, and Perry’s Rikki (below) plays a key role there: How did this come about? Executive producer Greg Garcia said: “Shannon Woodward (Sabrina) told me that her friend Katy was interested in doing an episode and I thought, ‘Why not? Let’s do your friend Katy a favor,’” “Then she came in and did a terrific job. She was hilarious.” “And now, people are telling me that Katy Perry is also a singer. I sincerely hope her appearance on RH helps her get her career off the ground. It’s a tough business.” Nicely played. We’re just sad she doesn’t have a blue ‘fro.
