The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: Margaret Calls Jennifer’s Sister-in-Law a ‘Mail-Order’ Bride

It was the end of the line for Danielle Staub on Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.  Margaret Josephs who has long advocated for Danielle to be part of the group decided enough was enough, and that their friendship was at breaking point.  Instead of getting into another altercation, Margaret opted to send a text to end her friendship with the former series regular, effectively cutting her out of the action.  “She’s wacko,” Margaret complained to her co-stars, before going on to reveal how the text exchange played out, and it was as ugly as you would expect.  “I wish you a happy life. Never speak to me again,” Margaret said to Melissa Gorga and show newcomer Jackie Goldschneider as she skimmed her phone for the damning messages.  “I can’t believe you’re this person, shame on you,” Danielle fired back before going on to wish Margaret a happy mother’s day.  While that final act sounds like Danielle’s way of being nice, it was not. If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online , you know that Margaret hasn’t had the best relationship with her kids.  She has been vocal about the breakdown of her previous marriage leading to a decline in communication between her and her ex-husband’s children.  It was a typical Danielle move, but at least Margaret was wise enough to let the snake down gently by SMS.  Hell, Danielle was out for blood on last week’s installment when the two Joe’s got talking about her intentions with her then-husband.  “I didn’t answer. We’re done. We’re never having this fight again,” Margaret said to the women after spilling the beans.  “Denial is a real thing, and she f***ing is Cleopatra,” she said with a smirk.  As for the other relationship that was on the rocks, that was Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider.  Giudice was ready for a war of words. That’s what happens when you bring her family into your petty squabbles, Jackie.  “I’m definitely not intimidated by Teresa. I just hope it’s not another scream-fest,” Jackie fretted before a one-on-one meeting with her nemesis.  “What you did to me is not excusable,” said Jackie of their previous bust-up, adding: “I don’t get spoken to like that; I’m a grown woman, I have a lot of self-respect … I was like, ‘What the f***?'” “Listen, you came at me first,” Teresa shot back.  But Jackie went on to imply that she and Teresa had something in common. Her father was in jail, and her mother was under house arrest.  “We used to laugh about it,” Jackie said, clearly trying to make light of the situation.  “I’m living it right now,” Teresa said. “My kids live with it every day. And it really hurts them that their father is not here.” “I did not mean to hurt you, and for that I am sorry,” Jackie ultimately said, with Teresa accepting.  “Believe me, I’ve gotten more Namaste – I used to be a little bit crazier. So that was calm for me when I’m p***ed,” Teresa said to close off the argument.  While Margaret was washing her hands of Danielle, she didn’t realize she was gearing up for another big fight.  Teresa later told the ladies that Jennifer Aydin’s brother and his soon-to-be wife “knew each other for two weeks and now they’re getting engaged.” “Ok, that’s a little crazy,” Margaret said laughing. Teresa said it’s part of the culture and that “they don’t sleep with each other and you get to know them when you marry them,'” “What happens if he was a dud? That’s a life of torture,” continued Margaret, adding: “Oh come on, he met her in Turkey? She could be mail order.” SHOT. FIRED.  Teresa told Jennifer all about it and the latter said to Margaret: “I can’t relate to people who have affairs with married people.” This is the season of the feud, and we’re living for it! RHONJ continues Wednesdays on Bravo.  View Slideshow: Teresa Giudice: The Wedding Ring is Off!

STEM Sistas Winning: Spelman Alumni Creates App That Lets You Take Back Text Messages

Spelman Woman Creates App That Lets You Take Texts Back Ever want to get that slizzard late night text to your ex? Have you ever sent a naughty text to your mom instead of your boo?? Well, Maci Peterson of On Second Thought apps has a solution for you! Via Black Enterprise : There have been ongoing programs and initiatives set in place to close the STEM gender gap. Men dominate the field, and black women in particular are few and far in between the numbers. But things are changing, and young women like Maci Peterson make us very optimistic about the future. Maci is the brainiac behind On Second Thought. The cleverly named innovation is an app that lets you take back text messages before the content is delivered to the receiving party. This app is a prayer answered to every college student who’s accidentally hit “send” to their moms and not their BFFs after a late Friday night/early Saturday morning. BlackEnterprise.com caught up with the young innovator and former Spelman student to get all the details behind On Second Thought, her marketing and financing strategy for the new business, and how we can attract more girls of color to STEM. Read on. So tell us exactly how On Second Thought works, and share some of the app’s cool features. On Second Thought is very easy to use. After downloading the app from the Google Play Store, you go to the app’s settings, set On Second Thought as your default SMS app and determine the length of your “grace period”—up to 60 seconds. The “grace period” is the amount of time you have to swipe left and Ost (recall) a message after hitting “send.” Another feature in development is “curfew.” It’s for those nights on the town when you know you might have a bit too much to drink. Just go to your On Second Thought settings, determine the time you’d like your “curfew” to start, and all messages you try to send after that time will be held until the next morning. Once the “curfew” expires, you can look back and see which messages you still want to send, and which ones you’re thankful didn’t go through. Read more about Staci’s new hit app HERE .

50 Cent’s Headphones Sales Will Benefit Feeding America Charity

Sale of each headset will provide 250 meals, rapper tells MTV News. By Nadeska Alexis 50 cent Photo: MTV News 50 Cent ‘s entrepreneurial efforts are currently dedicated to pushing his new line of SMS Audio headphones, but the music mogul has also put a charitable spin on the venture. During the NYC launch party for his new tech gear, Fif told MTV News that proceeds from each pair of headphones will be donated to charity. “Because of my Street King initiative , with every purchase there’s a meal being provided through the United Nations World Food Programme,” he said. “And with this actual project, I decided I wanted to do something here in America. So for every pair of these headsets that are sold domestically and online through SMSAudio.com , 250 meals will be provided by Feeding America, which is our leading charitable organization against hunger.” Over the past few months, 50 has been outspoken about the need to fund charitable organizations, using sales from his Street King energy drink to launch a campaign focused on feeding “a billion kids.” “I think business is the answer for finding finances for situations that have been unanswered and untouched,” 50 added. “If young entrepreneurs follow in my footsteps, with having a charitable business model that actually gives back, then you don’t have people standing at Occupy Wall Street , because they’re aware that the major corporations are conscious of them.” 50 Cent’s SMS Audio headphones are priced at $299.99 for a standard pair and $399.99 for the wireless version. They’re available in white, black and blue through SMSAudio.com. Related Artists 50 Cent

Apple’s iOS 5 Update Now Available For iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch [TECH]

Read this article:

It’s IAmGWoods with a little tech news. Yes, I am #TeamApple. After 128 days, 7 Beta releases, and 1 gold master, it’s finally arrived. iOS 5 has just been released to everyone (or at least, everyone with a compatible iOS device). For those who hadn’t finagled their way into the developer Beta’s: 1) you’re a more patient human than I could ever hope to be, and 2) you’re in for a treat. This is the biggest update iOS has seen since the addition of the App Store, and it’s jam-packed full of good stuff. The iOS 5 update is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 (GSM and CDMA), iPod touch 3rd/4th generation, and the iPad/iPad 2. It’ll also come preloaded on the 4S, of course, when that device launches later this week. It’s been a while since iOS 5 was announced to the world, so here’s a quick recap of some of the biggest features: iCloud: Apple’s cloud-based content/data syncing service. Backs up your content, photos, etc. in the cloud for safe keeping, provides one-click access to redownloading all the apps you’ve ever purchased, etc. iMessage: Apple’s free iOS-to-iOS messaging solution. SMS dies today. Notification Center: Apple has completely overhauled their old, antiquated alerts system. You now drag down from the top of the screen to see a drawer with all notifications. Newstand: Bundles all of your e-magazine/newspaper subscriptions into one smart folder Reminders: a new to-do/reminder system, complete with location-based alerts Twitter Integration Much improved Camera UX (You can access the camera with a double tap of the home button on the homescreen, and use the volume up key to take a photo) Crazy simple photo editing (Cropping, rotating, red-eye reduction) within the Photo app Over-the-air updates and PC-less device activation Downloading the update is pretty simple: just plug in, pop into iTunes, tap on your device’s name in the left-hand navigation, and click the “Update” button found on the page that pops up. If you’re not seeing the update, give it a few minutes — the servers are getting hammered pretty hard right now. ‘Breaking Dawn’ Star Taylor Lautner Praises ‘Dream’ Directors

‘Twilight’ heartthrob tells MTV News that working with pros like Bill Condon and John Singleton has helped him grow as an actor. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Taylor Lautner Photo: MTV News Taylor Lautner has had quite an impressive career for a 19-year-old. Since “Twilight” came out in 2008, he’s worked with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars and hottest directors and is primed to become the film industry’s next big action star when “Abduction” hits theaters in September. MTV News caught up with the “Breaking Dawn” actor at San Diego Comic-Con , and he talked about getting the opportunity to work with and becoming more comfortable around so much A-list talent. “All the directors in the ‘Twilight’ franchise have been amazing, [and] ending with Bill Condon, who’s just a dream,” Lautner said, “and then John Singleton [on ‘Abduction’]. And then all the actors and actresses I’ve been surrounded by, really, I couldn’t have done it without them, but they have definitely helped me throughout the past few years.” With “Abduction” and “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” both wrapped and set for release this fall, Lautner will be busy with press for those films but he also has some free time on his hands. And while the actor doesn’t have any projects lined up right now, he told us he’s looking at some possibilities. “We’re reading a lot [of scripts] right now and we will probably make that decision while I’m promoting,” he explained. “I’m gearing up because in two weeks, I’m off to the races. I start off in Australia and then I’m around the entire world for ‘Abduction,’ and then once again for ‘Breaking Dawn.’ ” Lautner added that he would love to do a comedy after the good feedback he got for his Funny or Die sketch “Field of Dreams 2.” He also teased that something could come of his recent meeting with director Gus Van Sant and screenwriter Dustin Lance Black . But Lautner is really looking forward to spending time with fans, many of whom would visit his “Abduction” set in Pittsburgh. The actor said he was always thankful rather than distracted by their presence. “There’s moments where it could impede the job, but I’m able to stay focused and be in character when I need to and snap right out of it and go over and talk to the fans and be with them for a while and go right back into it, which is great, because I have a lot of fun with them and I love them coming out and hanging with us,” he said. Chris Brown Video Director Calls VMA Noms ‘Crazy’

Colin Tilley tells MTV News it’s ‘really cool’ to see clips he helmed for Breezy and Justin Bieber getting awards-show nods. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Steven Roberts Chris Brown Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Colin Tilley has been having a heck of a year directing videos for Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Diddy-Dirty Money and Justin Bieber. Now, the California native finds two of his works nominated for the 2011 VMAs . Tilley’s clip for Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” is up for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration, while his video for Justin Bieber’s “U Smile” garnered a nod in the Best Male Video category. “It’s crazy to see the videos that we’ve been doing getting awards, actually nominations in general, from the VMAs. It’s pretty amazing,” Tilley told MTV News on Tuesday when we visited the set of Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming “No Sleep” video. “As far as the hip-hop [category], ‘Look at Me Now,’ in general, is an amazing song. I remember when I got that song, I was like, ‘Jeez, this is a hit right here. This is just going to win some awards,’ as soon as I even I heard the song,” Tilley recalled of the vid that features both Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. “The video just naturally and very seamlessly came together and we created something that I think is really cool.” While the director has worked most frequently with Brown — directing a number of his videos, including “Deuces,” “She Ain’t You” and “No BS” — Tilley also built a nice working relationship with Bieber after directing his 2010 visual for “Never Let You Go.” ” ‘U Smile’ was a very special video because I got to see Justin grow up. So we definitely went for this cinematic, stylized feel that really just showcased him as an iconic artist, as an icon in general,” the lens master said. “That was a really special experience. I remember the night before he had some award and he came to the set and he was really feeling himself. It was awesome.” You can vote for general VMA categories, including Best New Artist , by visiting VMA.MTV.com or m.mtv.com on your mobile phone. Britney Spears ‘Completely Flattered’ By Two VMA Nominations

Spears received nominations for Best Choreography and Best Pop Video. By Christina Garibaldi Britney Spears Photo: Jason LaVeris/ FilmMagic Britney Spears is no stranger to the Video Music Awards . She has so far been nominated 28 times, won four awards and has given us some of the most iconic VMA performances of all time. Who could forget her VMA strip-down in 2000 for “Oops! … I Did It Again,” her dance with a snake for “I’m a Slave 4 U” and, of course, her infamous “Like a Virgin” kiss with Madonna? This year, Spears looks to add to her list of VMA accomplishments with two nominations , one for Best Pop Video and one for Best Choreography for her hit Ke$ha-penned song “Till the World Ends.” MTV News recently caught up with Spears and broke the news of the nominations to the pop star. “Oh my goodness, I’m completely flattered,” Spears said. “That is amazing! Thank you so much for telling me. That’s awesome!” Spears will tackle some pretty stiff competition in both categories including seven-time nominee Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”) and four-time nominee Bruno Mars (“Grenade”) . But Spears isn’t concentrating on her competition, she’s just happy to be recognized. “I grew up listening to MTV. It’s just such an iconic thing to be able to participate in,” Spears said about the VMAs. “To even be presented an award is just so flattering and I’m honored. I’m excited.” Spears should be excited after such a big year. She released her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale , which reached #1 on the Billboard chart, she’s currently on the road for her summer tour , and now she has two more nominations to add to her already lengthy list of awards. So does Spears ever get used to all the VMA nominations? “Oh no, you never get used to that!” she said. Well maybe that’s not entirely true cuz I guess she’s a real person with a real family and has a real man who is really screwed cuz now his woman’s got a kid, the worst kind of STD, but I guess you can’t live your life in a negative place and sometimes you gotta look on the bright side, and in this case the bright side is her front side, cuz pregnancy has finally given her the tits she’s been waiting for since she was 12, sure it came with a price, like sacrificing her stomach and ass, but at least for now she’s like fucking a new chick to the baby daddy and that should keep him around a few more months…. Not that this matters in any way whatsoever…
