Taylor Swift: Support for Donald Trump Finally Revealed?!

So as you may remember, last fall was a pretty wild time for us here in the good ol’ U.S.A. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton engaged in an epic battle to win the title of president, and Trump somehow managed to win, shoving the country into the Dark Times. In the months leading up to the election, countless celebrities took the time to campaign for their ideal nominee, or at least to make a shout-out on social media. Since it was such a divisive election, these celebrities expressed that they felt it was their duty to speak out in support of what they felt was right. But one major pop star was quiet as a mouse … and that pop star was Taylor Swift. While everyone else was tweeting up a storm or getting out on the campaign trail, Taylor neglected to say a single word against or in favor of either Hillary or Trump. It actually became a pretty big deal, and many of her fans urged her to speak out on things, but she refused. She did make a post on Election Day about the importance of voting, but still, she neglected to suggest who people should vote for. And in the months since the election, she’s failed to make a single statement about anything political, save for a tweet in support of the Women’s March back in the spring. And honestly, all this is fine. Taylor is a pop star, it’s not like she’s obligated to get into these kinds of subjects. But to many people, her silence indicated one thing: she actually voted for Trump, and she knew she’d get an unbearable amount of backlash for admitting it. After all, is there another reason for her to stay so quiet? Other popular singers — Katy Perry, for instance — went hard for Hillary, and they were applauded for it. And since this has been a theory for several months now, you’d think she’d deny it if it wasn’t true, right? Not so much, according to one of her besties, Todrick Hall. In a new interview , Todrick, who appeared in her incredible “Look What You Made Me Do” music video, said “Taylor has never to my knowledge come out and said anything about her being pro-Trump.” “But people would still rather believe that she is the one who is pushing Trump’s agenda.” He said that after the video was released , people began tweeting him things like “So are you made that you think she might support Donald Trump?” And that, he said, he didn’t really understand. “I’ve never felt like there was ever a moment that I couldn’t be myself, and talk about the fact that I’m gay or whatever,” he said. “At Thanksgiving, we all sat around and talked about it, and there was another one of her friends there who was African-American, and we all sat down and talked about racism and watched 13th on Netflix and talked about how important it was.” Yeah, that doesn’t really sound like a Thanksgiving a pro-Trump person would throw, huh? Todrick said that “Maybe one day, Taylor will start being super-political, and using her voice to do the things that people think that she should be doing.” “But even then, she will probably be ridiculed for not being vocal enough, or not being on the right side.” Wisely, he said that “I don’t think that there is a way to win in this industry, so every person has to take their own journey at their own pace, at their own time, and do what they feel is right.” And it sounds like that’s exactly what Taylor is doing. ] View Slideshow: 13 Stars Who Are Actually Happy Donald Trump is President

Jacob Roloff: Why Is His Girlfriend Leaving Social Media?!?

Isabel Rock has people talking. And wondering. And asking many, many questions. This is the first question you may be asking: Who is Isabel Rock? She’s the girlfriend of Jacob Roloff, the former Little People, Big World cast member who quit the TLC reality show last summer amidst allegations that the show is phony and scripted. Over the past year or so, Rock and Roloff have been on a constant road trip, traveling along the Pacific Northwest with their two dogs. Which brings us to Friday and Isabel’s mysterious Instagram post. It opened as follows: “Have you ever been faced with a life changing decision? If you choose one way, your life will change drastically.. but if you choose another, your life will also change drastically,” she wrote. Rock went on to ponder: But which one is the ‘right’ one?! To what could Rock be referring? A marriage proposal, perhaps?!? “You’ve prayed, you have weighed the pros and cons. Still, your mind says one thing and your heart says another,” wrote Rock, adding: “I know, FOLLOW YOUR HEART. My heart is always going to tell me to be free, be somebody who can always move with the wind, never tie yourself down because it’s just not you. Ah, it’s a tough call I am going to have to make.” Tie yourself down, huh? This sounds very much like Jacob asked for her hand in marriage. But that’s merely a guess on our part.” “I have to decide what my future will look like. It’s the 1st of September. A fresh start. I think I’m going to start it with a social media break,” concluded Isabel. “Because, well, let’s face it… Scrolling my Instagram feed is not helping me any right now. So, send good thoughts my way as I try to navigate this next season of life.” Perplexing, isn’t it? Isabel and Jacob often include photos of each other on their social media feeds. But they rarely discuss their romance in public. It’s also possible Roloff wants to return to Little People, Big World and Isabel wants no part of the series. Only time will tell, we suppose. But that doesn’t mean you can’t hypothesize! Sound off below with your best guess now regarding what the heck Rock is talking about! View Slideshow: Little People, Big World Cast: Then vs. Now

Taylor Swift Releases ANOTHER New Song: Listen Here!

Last week, Taylor dropped “Look What You Made Me Do,” the very first single from her new album … and she blew our minds. Not necessarily because of the quality of the song, which was honestly not so great, but because she had a completely different sound than the old Taylor Swift. Which makes sense, because in the song, she explains that the old Taylor Swift is dead. It was also fun to analyze the lyrics and, a few days later, the music video — she obviously has a big grudge with someone, and the girl left us so many hidden clues and messages. It was like celebrity gossip Christmas, really. Even though it's been over a week now since we first heard the song, people are still talking about it. A lot . Which makes it more than a little surprising that she went ahead and released another single today. The new song is called “…Ready for It,” and while it's still very, very different than what we'd expect from her, this one is a little more familiar than “Look What You Made Me Do.” And that's because this song is a love song. Judging by some of the lyrics, we're guessing this is about her current boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn . They've been dating since last year, and in a lyric from the first verse, Taylor sings that the object of her affection here is “younger than my exes but he acts like such a man though.” Joe is 26, a year younger than Taylor, and quite a bit younger than many of her previous lovers, men like Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris, and John Mayer. There's a chance she could still be pulling inspiration from her relationship with Harry Styles, who is four years her junior, but that would be sad at this point. So let's just say this is about Joe — and if it is, then she seems to be very, very serious about him . So serious that in another part of the song, she sings “Every lover known in comparison is a failure, I forget their names now.” And like, we know she didn't actually forget their names, but this Joe must be pretty darn special, huh? Listen to the full song below:

Walter Becker Dies; Steely Dan Musician Was 67

The world has lost yet another legendary musician today … Walter Becker, one of the co-founders of Steely Dan, passed away earlier this morning. He was only 67 years old. The announcement of his death was first made on his personal website, with no other information than the date of his birth and today’s date — the day he passed. As of now, we don’t know the cause of death, but we do know that he was having health problems earlier this summer that caused him to miss some Steely Dan concerts. Donald Fagen, the other co-founder of the band, said in July that ‘Walter’s recovering from a procedure and hopefully he’ll be fine very soon.” Tragically, as we know now, that was not to be the case. Walter and Donald founded Steely Dan together all the way back in 1972, with Walter playing guitar and bass and co-writing the songs with Donald. They were successful up until 1981 when they broke up, but they reunited in 1993, and they’ve been touring since then. Though we don’t have any details about Walter’s death at this time, we do have a touching tribute written by Donald for his longtime bandmate and friend. Read the tribute in full below: Walter Becker was my friend, my writing partner and my bandmate since we met as students at Bard College in 1967. We started writing nutty little tunes on an upright piano in a small siting room in the lobby of Ward Manor, a mouldering old mansion on the Hudson River that the college used as a dorm. We liked a lot of the same things: jazz (from the twenties through the mid-sixties), W.C. Fields, the Marx brothers, science fiction, Nabokov, Kurt Vonnegut, Thomas Berger, and Robert Altman films come to mind. Also soul music and Chicago blues. Walter had a very rough childhood — I’ll spare you the details. Luckily, he was smart as a whip, an excellent guitarist and a great songwriter. He was cynical about human nature, including his own, and hysterically funny. Like a lot of kids from fractured families, he had the knack of creative mimicry, reading people’s hidden psychology and transforming what he saw into bubbly, incisive art. He used to write letters (never meant to be sent) in my wife Libby’s singular voice that made the three of us collapse with laughter. His habits got the best of him by the end of the seventies, and we lost touch for a while. In the eighties, when I was putting together the NY Rock and Soul Review with Libby, we hooked up again, revived the Steely Dan concept and developed another terrific band. I intend to keep the music we created together alive as long as I can with the Steely Dan band. Our condolences to the people close to Walter — it sounds like he will be missed.
