Javi Marroquin: Kailyn Lowry & I Are on Good Terms Now … But My Book’s Still Happening!

Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin are on better terms lately, but that’s not stopping her ex from pushing forward with his tell-all book. Which, in turn, could threaten to derail the tenuous non-aggression pact between the former Teen Mom 2 spouses. The irony. The father of Kailyn’s second son Lincoln says they’re playing nice these days, but his side of the story when it comes to their breakup? Well, it’s not always nice, and he’s telling it like it is. “I’ve been working on this book for a while,” Marroquin said of Heartlessly Hustled , an obvious play on Lowry’s own Hustle & Heart . “My story won’t change,” the 24-year-old reality star said, but he insists, “regardless of what’s in my book Kail knows it’s behind us.” That’s a fine line to walk. In Marroquin’s mind, it may be easy enough to compartmentalize past and present like that, but if Lowry reads something she dislikes? The smart thing to do if he’s really committed to co-parenting first would be to put this idea on the shelf (no pun intended) for awhile. By now, the sad and scandalous story is familiar to those who watch Teen Mom 2 online or read any sort of celebrity gossip at all: Lowry announced her divorce while he was on deployment in May 2016, after a six-month period that saw their marriage crumble. Because he was overseas with the U.S. Air Force, their passive-aggressive social media communication became a spectator sport. Then, only days after he returned home, he caught her with Chris Lopez , later revealed to be the father of Lowry’s third child. Their split quickly became more and more tumultuous. An already-strained relationship nearly reached a boiling point upon the reveal of Lowry’s third pregnancy, given their recent divorce. She and Marroquin divorced in part because she didn’t want any more kids; Javi obvious didn’t take the third-baby-daddy thing well. It reached a level in which Lowry filed a protection from abuse order after he showed up aggressively and sent her harassing texts.  Javi denied ever laying a hand on Kailyn, who never accused him of that either, but admitted she sought – and he agreed to – the order. Basically, he’s not allowed to contact her unless it’s regarding their son for a year. (Again, writing a tell-all book about her won’t help.) Since then, the two have mended fences somewhat. Kailyn has included Javi in family activities, both with their son and with Lowry’s older son Isaac, 7, from her relationship with Jo Rivera. Marroquin, who has accused Lowry of cheating on him, and who says he will not be raising Lowry’s third child , remains close to Isaac. As for what we can expect in Heartlessly Hustled? “Expect a story about a man who thought he figured out life. Lies and cheating were swept beneath his nose for a long time!” Javi says. Javi promises his memoir will “be the truth” of what Lowry – who he has implied wasn’t faithful – did to end their nearly four-year marriage. “The only reason I was coming out with that book was to make sure my story was out,” he said, following the release of Lowry’s memoir. In her book, she hit on his jealousy and control issues. “When he did things like demanding that I unlock my phone to prove I had nothing to hide,” she said, Javi made their marriage unbearable. View Slideshow: Kailyn Lowry & Javi Marroquin: A Timeline of Love, Marriage, Divorce, Destruction She said he began “calling me constantly when I was enjoying time with friends to make sure I wasn’t doing anything ‘sneaky’ behind his back.” “It became clearer and clearer how little my husband trusted me,” the reality star penned. “I had done nothing to make him doubt me.” “I never lied, never went behind his back and I was never unfaithful,” Lowry laments, strongly denying that she ever cheated on him. “For some reason, he was convinced otherwise.” No word yet on the release date for Javi’s book, but you can expect it will reopen some old wounds that haven’t entirely healed. You know, exactly the opposite of what he should probably be focusing on, and what he says his outlook on life is these days.  View Slideshow: Teen Mom: What Do the Dads Do for a Living?!

Signs That Show Man Made Global Warming is Definitely Still Happening

As your boiler breaks down, your pipes freeze, your car won’t start, your Ocado delivery fails to arrive, your train is cancelled, your neck is broken after slipping on black ice and you lie in an emergency ward waiting for a doctor to turn up only to learn that they’re all off today because of the weather, you might be forgiven for thinking that all this has something to do with global cooling, changes in the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, and the decline in sunspot activity perhaps auguring a new Maunder minimum. But you couldn’t be more wrong. “It’s all actually a sign that man made global warming is very much a live issue and that there’s more of it happening than ever,” says a top scientist, who holds the British record for securing grant-funding for global warming research projects so he must know what he’s talking about. “Look at the Met office,” the scientist goes on. “They’ve just told us that 2010 is the hottest year since records began in 1850 and even though the stupid Central England Temperature record tells us something quite different and even though the year hasn’t actually finished yet they must know what they’re talking about and they definitely can’t have fiddled the data because the Met office is part of the government and they wouldn’t lie or get things wrong which is why that barbecue summer was such a scorcher.” The big problem is, the scientist said, is that the public are really stupid. They think just because Dr David Viner of the Climatic Research Unit said in the Independent in 2000 that soon there’d be no snow because of global warming, when what he actually meant was that soon there’d be lots of snow and that this would be “proof” of global warming. The interviewer just missed out the word “proof” that’s all because journalists are lazy that way. Then the scientist issued a cut-out-and-keep guide of Signs That Show Man Made Global Warming Is Definitely Still Happening And That Cancun Won’t Be An Almighty Flop. 1. Warm weather 2. Cold weather 3. In-between weather. 4. Dark skies at night 5. Light skies in the morning 6. An unpleasant moist/damp/wet sensation when it rains 7. Ice appearing when the temperature drops below zero 8. Clouds rolling across sky in all sorts of funny shapes, some days like cotton wool, other days in streaks, and on some days not there at all. 9. Ursine subarboreal toilet activity 10. Strong new evidence of ultramontane sympathies at the Vatican added by: rodstradamus

343 Industries Say The Halo Movie Is Still Happening

It seems that rumors of the Halo movie’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. While many are still in mourning from the debacle last year that led to the project slipping through the fingers of Peter Jackson and Neill Blomkamp (a collaboration that would become District 9 ,) some encouraging news surfaced straight from the horse’s mouth. 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor has confirmed that the long-rumored Halo movie will indeed happen — eventually. While speaking last week at the MI6 Conference in San Francisco, O’ Connor stated: “We’re going to make a movie when the time is right,” he said. “We own the IP. If we want to make a movie, the scale of all the other stuff that we do changes dramatically. We make tens and tens of millions of dollars on ancillary stuff, toys, apparel, music and publishing. If we do a movie all of that will grow exponentially. We have some numbers if we do a movie, but it changes everything. It also changes our target and age demographic.” To say a Halo film project will generate huge increases in merchandising is not exactly a secret restricted to industry insiders. However, what is also widely-known, is the dubious history that Hollywood has experienced with video game adaptations. What would this mean for the franchise itself? While Nintendo’s Mario franchise managed to leave unscathed after the debacle that was the 1993 Super Mario Bros. movie, it also seems like something changes about the way a game franchise is perceived after its movie version is made. It may not be something you could outright identify as crippling, but nonetheless, it’s an unmistakable taint. The main question is, what kind of Halo film will we get? O’Connor’s, no nonsense, straight from the hip answer to the Halo movie question made it abundantly clear that the movie is happening one way or the other. His comment about the film being released “when the time is right” could ultimately reflect a number of scenarios ranging from a release year for a new game in the series, or the result of intricate research of the field of other films set to grace the box-office. Despite how the dollar signs may glimmer from prospective intellectual property revenue, hopefully they will maintain some discipline in making sure the movie cash-cow is worth the milk its producing. While I doubt they would have the audacity to make one without Master Chief, it does kind of leave one to wonder if there’s room in the Halo mythos to tell an original tale, with all the sequels and prequels such as this fall’s Halo: Reach . Moreover, would it be embraced? They could always go the route of Mortal Kombat (for what that’s worth) and follow the basic framework of the game, which ended up somewhat conducive to a full-length movie. In my opinion, that wouldn’t be such a bad option, as the campaigns in Halo (and most modern first & third person shooters) tend to unfold in a clean, linear style anyway. As far as Halo is concerned, it’s already there for the taking. Even the gritty, shaky-cam conceptual short-films made by Blomkamp a few years back clearly demonstrated that the Halo universe could translate rather well to the big screen. They not only effectively conveyed the pure carnage of a Halo battle, but put you right in the middle of that world without elaborate explanation. You didn’t have to be a Halo afficionado to be aware of what was happening. That’s a hallmark of accessibility for a film tasked with adaptating popular source material. What’s your take on Halo as a movie? Could it work? Do we need it? Source: IGN Neill Blomkamp – Peter Jackson – District 9 – Video game – Halo
