That’s quite a statement, but the Florida native proved with her recent run on the reality hit that she’s got the vocal chops to make such a bold claim. John Legend has been called many things over his career: talented, hard-working, successful. But this is a new one: A New Jersey songwriter named Anthony Stokes claims the musician is a hack. John Legend – Maxine’s Interlude According to court documents filed this week, Stokes says he gave Legend a demo tape in 2004 at the University of North Carolina. He never heard back from the famous singer… but then heard Legend’s “Maxine’s Interlude” and and believes it was based on Stokes’ track, “Where Are You Now?” Stokes is demanding damages from Legend and attempting to block sales of “Maxine’s Interlude.” We’ve posted Legend’s single above and you can listen to Stokes croon his song HERE . Employees of Flava Flav say they can’t cash their work checks! While Flava Flav insists that these employees just want him out of town and are “jealous” the workers beg to differ. “A number of people told WQAD in Clinton, IA they couldn’t cash their checks, with one being for only $150. One employee claims she even went to the bank the check was issued from, but even they wouldn’t cash it! Co-owner Nick Cimino told the station thy had a “credit card glitch” at one point, but everything is fine now. He also chalked it up to disgruntled ex employees. Flav himself said, “It’s not true information, first of all. And second of all, maybe these are people that’s just jealous of me being here and probably want to see me out. Sara Stokes, the singer from Diddy’s Making The Band 2, and her husband Tony Stokes were involved in another domestic dispute over the weekend in Atlanta while visiting a friend’s house. Apparently Tony, accused Sara of being with another man, and began beating and choking her while they were arguing. He was arrested and released on $2,000 bond the next day. Unfortunately, this is not the couple’s first domestic dispute. Back in 2009, Sara actually stabbed her husband after an argument between the two went violent. WTF! Tony Stokes told TMZ “Everybody speculates and blows things out of proportion. It’s a crazy kind of life. We’re dysfunctional. We need our own TV show. Sara Stokes from the MTV reality show “Making Da Band” was allegedly choked and beaten by her husband, Tony. He was later arrested. Sources tell TMZ that the altercation went down last weekend at a friend’s house in Georgia. Tony believed that Sara was cheating on him. He then choked and beat her. Tony was arrested for simple battery and released on $2,000 bail the next day. Sara was previously arrested for stabbing Tony during an argument in 2009.
