I am not into the whole smoking thing, I haven’t smoked weed since I accidentally smoked PCP in the 90s and had a freak out, like a college girl who drank too much sambuca, shit becomes toxic to you by affiliation to that bad experience and making it never my thing, but it seems like the only people who can tolerate me in person are stoned…so I am around it a lot and I feel like a drunk but honorary stoner…who knows all the tools needed to get right fucking high. Not to mention, with weed being legalized in Canada, I must follow the direction of the government and get into the weed thing, as they try to control a plant, by making it federally legal, for the entire country to give them more of our money by taxing something you can all grow in your backyard…you know since it’s the gateway drug. So I’ve been doing some research on what I need to be equipped for this law change From Water Pipe that you can use and pretend you’re in the 60s…..To getting a Dab Rig , something I don’t even understand, but that I know you stoners will understand. Source: photo: WENN After missing out on making the Hall of Fame his first go ’round, Terrell Owens has been chosen to be enshrined in that building in Canton, Ohio. However, he’s not impressed with that feat anymore. At least not enough to attend his own ceremony. In an act of defiance (and pettiness), Terrell Owens has chosen to skip his induction into the Hall of Fame for a celebration of his own according to ESPN . “While I am incredibly appreciative of this opportunity, I have made the decision to publicly decline my invitation to attend the induction ceremony in Canton,” Owens said in a statement released Thursday. “… After visiting Canton earlier this year, I came to the realization that I wish to celebrate what will be one of the most memorable days of my life, elsewhere.” Um, ok. While TO’s decision reeks of resentment and bitterness, HOF president David Baker respects Owen’s choice to not attend. “We are disappointed but will respect Terrell’s decision not to participate in the enshrinement,” Hall of Fame president David Baker said in a statement. “While unprecedented, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the nearly 5,000 volunteers and the entire community are committed to celebrating the excellence of the Class of 2018 that will kick off the NFL’s 99th season.” The ceremony will take place on August 4th in Canton, Ohio, which leaves Owen’s a lot of time to change his mind, but from the looks of things he seems ready to live with a big regret just to make a point. At least he took the time to congratulate everyone else who made it to legendary status. “I wish to congratulate all past, current and future inductees,” Owens said in the statement. “It is quite an honor to be part of such elite company. This honor is something that I will cherish forever.” It’s not too late to get over your own ego, TO. Just sayin.’
Source: NurPhoto / Getty Instagram just released a new update. NO, it’s not in regards to making your timeline chronological again, but it is something users have been asking for. Well sort of. Instagram @mention sharing which will now allow users to re-share Instastories but there is a catch though, you have to be tagged in the post. This marks the first time Instagram has publicly announced they have been considering the feature. They did test a regram button, but this version of re-sharing in this limited capacity is as close to a regram button users will get for now. Here is how the new feature will work as broken down Instagram on its blog : “When someone mentions you in their story, you receive a notification in your Direct message thread with that person — now, you’ll see an option to add that content to your own story. Tap it to see that story as a sticker – you can scale, rotate and position it and add creative tools like text or stickers on to it as well. When your followers see your story, the original poster’s username will appear and will be tappable, so people can explore your friend’s profile as well. Only public accounts can have their stories shared.” Source: Instagram / Instagram The latest update comes on the heels of reports of Instagram entertaining the idea of hour-long videos and adding a mute feature . This news though is more welcoming because it’s a feature that was honestly wanted. We still are waiting for the company to announce they plan on making our timelines great again by fixing the algorithm. We thought we were heading in that direction back in March when they announced “Newer Posts” will show in your feed more often. The @mention sharing update is officially live on both iOS and Android versions of the Instagram app. — Photo: NurPhoto / Getty/Instagram

This past week she appeared on The Breakfast Club where she recounted the days that she used to win all of her talent shows. Recently, this footage of a much younger and less shapely Belcalis performing Lady Gaga’s smash hit “Bad Romance” for her screaming classmates hit the net. It’s pretty clear she was born for this. The Teen Mom franchise has produced a lot of entertainment. It’s also churned out some reality stars who aren’t such great people. Chelsea Houska is one of the exceptions, though. She loves her children and just generally doesn’t come across as vapid or that much of a hot mess. So … color us surprised that Chelsea Houska’s in trouble. Like, legal trouble. Don’t worry — despite what Teen Mom ‘s editors might show you, Chelsea Houska doesn’t neglect her daughter in favor for her baby. In fact, the alleged violation for which she’s been singled out has nothing to do with being a mom at all. Not directly, anyway. Chelsea Houska was one of 21 recipients of sternly worded letters (anything from the government is stern; it’s hard to “smile” in legalese). From the FTC. And it all has to do with Instagram ads. You know, when a celebrity poses with some kind of weight loss tea or talks about how much they love their new, like, makeup kit while showing the kit and saying the name of the brand? The kind of thing that we’ve seen from a bazillion celebs. It’s what got a bunch of haters to slam Amy Roloff the other day. This isn’t about income disclosure. That would be a letter from the IRS and, frankly, probably a lot scarier. But the Federal Trade Commission has had it up to here with celebrities who don’t “properly disclose” their ads. The FTC argues that merely tagging a brand counts as an endorsement. They’re real sticklers about their rules. Just like how pharmaceutical commercials (here in the US, pretty much the only place on the planet where you’re allowed to advertise prescription drugs) have to list all of the many ways that their drug might somehow harm or kill you … Just like how commercials have to list that the people speaking are paid actors (even if it’s in the fine print that nobody reads) … … Instagram ads are supposed to be tagged plainly. With “#ad.” And apparently a number of stars, including Chelsea Houska and Farrah Abraham, haven’t exactly been doing that. We’d question whether anyone old enough to use Instagram is naive enough to think that those transparent advertisements are just celebrities casually plugging products for fun. Like, if someone talks about liking their favorite soda, maybe they just do that. But an Instagram post about it, mentioning the brand and holding up the label for the photo? You’d think that you’d have to be a fool to not realize that, at the very least, that star has gotten some free stuff out of the deal. In most cases, they’re monetizing it. On the other hand … the world is full of fools and they deserve honesty, too. Instagram ads can be a huge source of money, from a regular Instagram model to Kylie Jenner. Whether it’s a fitness model showing off the protein powder that they almost definitely don’t use to a reality star showing off a corset that almost definitely didn’t make her lose weight, Instagram ads are a huge business. We can understand why the FTC feels the need to clamp down … even if “#ad” looks so tacky in people’s captions. We wonder if maybe the FTC needs to reconsider some of its rulings, though. Sure, it’s a big business — some public personalities pull down six figures a year on Instagram ads alone. (Others are said to pull down six figures per post … mostly just Kylie Jenner) But … are there similar rules in place for product placement on television shows and in films? When someone on television drinks a specific name-brand soda or even walks in front of a sign for a fast food place, that’s not a coincidence. Usually, the company paid for that to happen. “Ad” doesn’t show up anywhere on the screen. Some might argue that featuring something in your social media posts is akin to a film’s product placement rather than being more like a commercial. Technology changes all of the time. Sometimes it takes the law a while to catch up.
There is no part of this story that isn’t absolutely tragic. Remember how an 18-year-old girl livestreamed herself appearing to lose control of her vehicle , resulting in the death of her own younger sister? There was a third person in the car who wasn’t initially identified in reports. That third person, a girl named Manuela Seja, survived with a leg injury and is now speaking about the death of her girlfriend, Jacqueline Sanchez. Obdulia Sanchez is 18 years old, and was driving her younger sister, Jacqueline, and Jacqueline’s girlfriend, Manuela Seja, back home to Stockton, California. Obdulia Sanchez’s statements in the alleged recording of the incident are already pretty famous. “I f-ing killed my sister, okay. I know I’m going to jail for life alright. I understand that. This is the last thing I wanted to happen — okay. Alright, I don’t f—ing care though — I’m-a hold it down.” Understandably, she was and very likely is overwhelmed with feelings of grief and guilt. (They may also end up being used against her in court) Obdulia has been arrested on the suspicion that she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as well as for the accident and death itself. Police are investigating the vehicle and looking into the livestream video, which could potentially be used as evidence. Precisely what caused Obdulia to lose control and ultimately for the vehicle to flip are unclear. Initial reports suggested that Obdulia had struck a curb and overcorrected, losing control at such a high speed. It is also possible that a tire blew out. While she obviously should not have been livestreaming while driving, it’s important that we wait to condemn her until we find out exactly what was going on. Jacqueline Sanchez and Manuela Seja met on Instagram and became friends. Over time, their friendship became romantic, and Jacqueline and Manuela dated for seven months before Jacqueline’s death. Manuela lives in Fresno and Jacqueline lived in Stockton. 130 miles is a long distance for a teenage relationship, but young love is powerful. The girls had made a commitment to see each other every weekend. Obdulia was helping her younger sister by driving the girls so that they’d be able to hang out and see each other. This time, they didn’t make it — the tragic crash happened in Los Banos. Manuela remembers Jacqueline , who was supposed to celebrate her quinceanera on Sunday. She’ll treasure those memories for the rest of her life. A huge part of how she describes Jacqueline is her sense of humor. “She wasn’t like everybody else. She was just funny and she would be funny. She didn’t even need to try.” She has a box of treasured memories with her girlfriend — a gift that Jacqueline had made for her. “I never thought this would happen.” No one does, but especially not a 14-year-old who has probably had very little experience with death. Like Jacqueline father said in his own statement, Manuela doesn’t seem to be angry with Obdulia. “Honestly, I’m not mad at anybody and I don’t blame anybody.” The fact that this girl who lost her girlfriend of seven months and was a witness isn’t blaming Obdulia makes us hope that investigators take a good, hard look at the evidence before they move things any further. Obdulia’s excited utterance over her sister’s body is inflammatory, but not proof that it was genuinely her fault. Manuela has some words of wisdom after the crash. “It’s all affected by social media. That’s what life is now. And it’s going to advance more and more. That what it’s going to be about.” It’s not clear if she’s talking about people recording for social media when they should be driving, or if she just means people talking about blame via social media. Either way, Manuela is right. A teen streamed her own death on Facebook Live late last year. Just weeks ago, a woman livestreamed her own horrific death in a car accident in which she was the passenger. Whether technology plays a role in distracting drivers or not, streaming means that there can be dozens or millions of witnesses to someone’s death. Sometimes without any warning whatsoever. Very likely the only thing that will put an end to livestreamed vehicular deaths will be when autonomous cars dominate the roadways, making them much safer for everyone involved. But until almost every car is driving itself, it looks like we’re going to see another decade or so of people recording their own deaths.
Nicole Kidman’s ROBOT legs were in a magazine – because I guess she’s super famous and promoting some bullshit she acts in – as that is what she is programmed to do and will remain doing until someone hacks her software or forgets to plug her in to charge her battery… That means that after the apocalypse, when all humanity is on some ship circling the earth they destroyed thanks to TRUMP, Nicole Kidman, the Tom Cruise wife-bot, and mother to his adopted kids, since you can’t breed robots yet….the technology just isn’t there, not even in secret Scientology labs…. But after the apocalypse, she’ll just be cycling in circles or in front of her mirror….reading scripts over and over…or trying to clap like she’s at the award shows…wigging the fuck out…because that’s what robots do… The whole thing is super weird… The post Nicole Kidman Legs in Instyle of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepfather .
Film has always been a medium driven by new technologies, but it’s rare for our devices to become the center of a movie’s storytelling. So to have two tech-driven art movies released in the same month is a bit of a cinematic event. Out now, new releases Personal Shopper and The Human Surge take up… Read more »
