Four-year-old Ethan Van Leuven is fighting for each day on this Earth. At 22 months old, little Ethan was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After years of treatment, his family learned last week that his fight is coming to an end. “His leukemia has gone out of control and is no longer treatable, so he was given a few days to several weeks left,” Merrill Van Leuven, Ethan’s father said. Knowing time is running out, the Van Leuven family wanted their last days with Ethan to be filled with joy, and what better way than a week of holidays. So tonight, it’s Halloween! Thanks to loving neighbors, tonight for the Van Leuven family, there is joy for a boy who is truly a superhero. 4-year-old Ethan unfortunately passed away early this morning surrounded by his family. UPDATE:A 4-year-old boy who touched hearts across the country has passed away. Last week, the doctors told Ethan Van Leuven’s family that he had only a few days to live. Sadly, Ethan died Tuesday morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
Authorities have identified the individual accused of using an assault rifle in the LAX shooting that saw a Transportation Security Administration agent killed. Shots were fired inside the Los Angeles International Airport early Friday. Law-enforcement officials tell NBC News that Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23, entered the airport around 9:20 a.m., Pacific Time, and opened fire inside Terminal 3. The AP also reported that authorities named Ciancia, who was “carrying a bag containing a hand-written note that said he ‘wanted to kill TSA and pigs,'” as the suspect. “A law enforcement official, who was briefed at LAX on the investigation but not authorized to speak publicly, said the gunman was wearing fatigues,” an AP report said. The suspect was in custody and being treated for injuries sustained during an exchange of gunfire with police. His exact condition is not clear at this time. Patrick Gannon, Chief of Airport Police at LAX, said that an individual “pulled an assault rifle out of a bag and began to open fire in the terminal.” Officials said that seven people were treated for injuries as a result. Paul Anthony Ciancia: LAX Shooting Suspect The slain TSA officer was identified as Gerardo I. Hernandez, 39. On Friday, a sibling of Ciancia’s received a text message from Ciancia saying he was thinking about taking his life, according to the Associated Press. A federal law enforcement official, who didn’t want to be named, told USA Today that the alleged shooter’s family was worried about his well being. They alerted police, and those officers relayed the family’s concerns to Los Angeles authorities, who made contact with the alleged shooter’s roommates. They found that Paul Ciancia appeared to be okay.

Man Killed At Airport According to ABC News A man who had fired a gun inside a ticketing area at Houston’s largest airport was killed after being confronted by a law enforcement official during an incident that sent people in the terminal scrambling and screaming, police said Thursday. It’s unclear if the man fatally shot himself or was killed by a Homeland Security agent who had confronted him, said Houston police spokesman Kese Smith. The man’s name was not released by police, but they said he was about 30-years-old. Police say the man walked into the ticketing area in Terminal B at Bush Intercontinental Airport around 1:35 p.m. and fired at least one shot into the air. The agent, who was in his office, came out and confronted the man, telling him to drop his weapon, but the man refused, police said. “The suspect then turned toward the special agent. The special agent, fearing for his safety and all the passengers in the terminal, discharged his weapon at the same time it appears the suspect may have shot himself,” Smith said. The man died at the scene. An autopsy will be conducted Friday. Police would not say what kind of weapon the man had. The terminal was closed immediately after the shooting. But later Thursday, parts of the terminal were reopened to passengers. The rest of the airport remained open after the shooting. Darian Ward, a spokeswoman for the Houston Airport System, said some passengers who were scheduled to leave from Terminal B were rerouted to other terminals. Dale Howard, of Tomball, was at the baggage handling area of the airport waiting for his sister to arrive on an incoming flight when he heard two shots fired from the floor above. A few seconds later, he said he heard three more shots. “People were screaming. I knew exactly what it was — gunfire,” Howard said. Police from an adjacent station rushed in, and Howard said he directed them to the floor above. Greg Newburn, who was in the terminal waiting for a flight to Oklahoma City, said he was sitting in a cafe area when he heard two gunshots and after a pause, several more. “It seemed like quite a few shots. Everyone was scrambling, running left and running right, turning tables up and hiding behind tables. Nobody knew what was happening. I couldn’t tell where the shots were coming from,” he said. On the 23rd of April our dreams came TRUE as Justin arrived in London! The day began at 4:30am where me, Emily and my friend Lindi got ready and tubed into the central London. While at the ITV Studios we met two guys @harrycooke & @lozzypurry, who without, meeting Justin would not of been possible. They suggested we go to Heathrow Airport to wait for Justin’s flight to land, and it was the best decision we could of made. At 10 am, we waited at terminal 5 for Justin, alongside a huge crowd of beliebers. The next few hours were the most tense but exciting hours of our lives! Jeremy exited through the terminal and our hearts raced and our iPhones shook with adrenaline as we were one step closer to meeting Justin. But he was not on the same flight as Jeremy. When I saw Jeremy, my instant reaction was to run to him, even though I felt bad for asking for a photo after his flight. But I knew it was a one in a lifetime chance, so I did, and he was kind enough to allow it even though he was in a rush. The photo was shaken due to my shaking hands from being near him, but I knew then that even if I didn’t get to meet Justin I would of had an amazing experience. We were confused and contemplated heading into the city centre as rumors circulated that Justin had exited through the Windsor suite. But there was something strange about it all and something in us told us to stay and wait for the next flight in from LAX. Then our dream became a reality. As soon as I heard fans screaming I knew the wait was worth it all. I ran under the terminal barrier and luckily got straight behind Justin. I could not believe what was happening. I was shaking and couldn’t help but scream as I was touching Justin, trying so hard to get his attention. Finally he caught my attention and we had a photo and when I looked at it, I could not process what my eyes were seeing. A photo. Of Justin and myself. In my hands. Security and paparazzi made getting close to him so difficult but I had done it. I was standing next to the most flawless, gorgeous person in the world. I had my Twitter account written down on paper that I wanted him to take. Scooter and security needed to escort him to his car so everyone was rushing to get to him before he left, but I got close to him again and gave him that piece of paper, the piece of paper which the paparazzi took a photo of him holding and I was completely love struck . I was one of the luckiest girls in that crowd, I stood right behind him all of the way to his car and my hands were on his shoulders. He was so lovely to everyone, and ever since I met Justin I haven’t stopped thinking about him. His smile in our photo is beautiful! When he got in the car I stood back and tried to fit together what had just happened. I had just met Justin Bieber. And all my emotions came flooding at once, I cried with happiness like I had never done before, I was in shock. Everyone swarmed to the front Justin yet we were lucky enough to be able to round the back of him. Everyone was going crazy, shoving and pushing. All I remember hearing was Justin continuously saying how he wanted to see us all and have photos with us all one at a time. He was so amazing and sweet even after his 10-hour flight , I was in awe of his kindness. I made sure to remain calm the whole time and not to push or shove, and because of this the security helped hold others back while I was able to go in and get a photo. I remember having my hand on Justin’s hand as I was trying to get my photo and just thinking “OMG HIS HAND IS SO SOFT! WHY IS HIS SKIN SO SOFT!” It was just AMAZING!!! It was the best experience of my life! It was more than I could ever expect! We were determined to catch a glimpse of Justin again so caught the tube to his hotel. That tube journey was surreal. We both sat there for 40 or so minutes unable to stop smiling. At his hotel, we waited in the rain for Justin to come outside, but missed him by minutes. Then we heard of the secret location, thanks to Harry and Loz. We jumped in a taxi and headed to the supper club where Justin and his team were. Even though we didn’t see Justin again, we were happy to be in the amazing atmosphere with all the other beliebers, there to support Justin. Lindi however managed to catch Scooter before he entered his car. I saw Kenny and Alfredo walking out and noticed Kenny talking and hugging people so I left my spot and ran to him alone. Although I was unable to talk to him or Alfredo, I did manage to catch Scooter before he got into his car. I asked for a photo and he was more than happy to have one. I was so happy words cannot describe. After taking the photo, Scooter asked me why I was shaking, and the only response I could come up with was “ajdhfjkidsba cause like ahdjjfjfhshbb”. Slightly embarrassing, but I didn’t know what to say, SCOOTER BRAUN WAS TALKING TO ME. Really was the icing on the cake. That day couldn’t of been more incredible! I love Justin and his crew so much! Nothing will ever change that. Thank you so so much Justin, we were only able to travel to London for the one day, and the realization that we both got to meet you has made us the happiest girls alive. Emily found a penny that morning, picked it up and said to herself, “find a penny, pick it up, all day long you’ll have good luck” and we had the most incredible luck being in the right place at the right time with you and meeting you. Justin Bieber , the Canadian teen pop star, arrived in Singapore yesterday. He is in the country for his concert, which is part of his “ My World ” Tour. There was a welcome party that consists of more than 50 fans waiting for him at the airport. But it seemed that the young singer did not even know about that. With only limited clues that they have, they were stalking out the airport and waited for the young singer to arrive. Most of the fans are teenage girls, and some of them were accompanied by their parents and relatives. The crowd gathered at the airport and waited since 6.30am. Some of the fans got hint from one of Bieber’s crew’s tweet that they were going to catch the afternoon flight from Frankfurt. The Justin fans got another update at about 3pm. Bieber was reported to be departing from the VIP terminal. All of them immediately ran through the car park to get to the terminal, which is several hundred meters away. They waited for another two hours at the JetQuay CIP Terminal, while singing some of the young pop star’s songs such as “ Baby ” and “ Never Say Never .” However, none of the fans actually had the chance to get a glimpse of Bieber. Several of them were crying because they were very disappointed.
