Thomas Ravenel Pleads GUILTY to Assault and Battery

Disgraced Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel finished his custody battle with Kathryn Dennis in something of a stalemate. But that doesn’t mean that he’s out of the woods when it comes to the very serious accusations of sexual assault. This week, Ravenel reported back to court — and entered his guilty plea. On Wednesday, September 11, Thomas Ravenel appeared in a Charleston courtroom. There, he entered a guilty plea to the charges of third degree assault and battery. His sentence? 30 days in prison. Additionally, the judge suspended the jail time, changing it instead to require the wealthy socialite to pay a fine … of $500. Ravenel has an estimated net worth of $6 million. Keeping in mind that he is accused of raping his children’s nanny, that is … not the outcome that many of his detractors had hoped to see. There was, at least, an allecution. “On the night of the incident, I did attempt to kiss her,” Ravenel admitted in court. “And in doing so,” he confessed. “I grabbed her arm and that was wrong.” Ravenel concluded: “And I am much appreciative of the opportunity to apologize to her in court today.” Dawn Ledwell, his accuser and his children’s former nanny, was not present in court to see him skate by with a modest fine. Ravenel’s story of an attempted unwanted kiss certainly qualifies as assault. But it’s a very different story than the one that Ledwell mustered the courage to share. She describes the 2015 incident as him having removed his clothing, cornering her, and forcibly place her hand against his genitals. She accuses him of having places his hand against her groin in turn. Ledwell sustained injuries to her neck and breasts during the assault, apparently caused by what was done to her clothing. Ledwell explained that she did not cry out or fight back during the alleged sexual assault because one of the young children was sleeping nearby. As awful as what was happening to her was, she was more afraid of the young child seeing it and being traumatized. One year ago, in September of 2018, Ravenel was arrested for assault and battery in the second degree. It seems that prosecutors were already uncertain of how much of what happened to Ledwell they could prove in our court system. Clearly, even less than they thought, as the disgraced former politician was able to reduce the case to giving an unwanted kiss and then pay what amounts to a parking ticket. Ledwell is also not the only woman to accuse Ravenel of sexual assault. After a Tinder date with one woman, he allegedly changed demeanor dramatically and alarmingly and sexually assaulted her. That woman is bound by an agreement to not speak of it. Her daughter was involved in the proceedings but is not beholden to an NDA, and it was she who shared the story with the world. It has been strongly suggested that Ravenel may have had other, unidentified alleged victims sign NDAs in the past. But for now, that is speculation, and Ravenel remains a free man. Kathryn Dennis, Thomas Ravenel Reunite For This Sweet Reason

Southern Charm has just returned for its sixth season, minus one disgraced former star.  Thomas Ravenel is engaged in a heated custody battle over his two children with Kathryn Dennis, who wants full custody before it’s too late .  But they both managed to grin and bear it to pose as a family for their daughter Kensie’s latest milestone.   On Thursday evening Kathryn Dennis uploaded this striking family reunion photo to her Instagram. The gang was all smiles as they posed together to comemorate daughter Kensie’s preschool graduation. Kensie is growing up so fast, right before our eyes. And she looks so precious holding her little bouquet.    She and her younger brother Saint both appear happy, blissfully unaware of the animousity we’ve seen from their parents’ custody war. Even Kathryn and Thomas seem to be forcing a grin as they pose together for the first time in nearly a year. In the same post, Kathryn shared another picture of Kensie sporting her over-the-top graduation regalia. In this photo, there’s nothing fake or forced about Kathryn’s proud smile. You can see the love and admiration she holds for Kensie. It’s clear that the mother and daughter share a special bond, and that the day will be a treasured memory for both girls. Kensie looks proud of herself too. At just five years old, this ceremony is a huge deal for her. Kathryn included a sweet caption to go along with the cute family moments “Our little graduate! Can’t believe she is going to be a kindergartner,” Kathryn captioned. She also included a crying face emoji, to illustrate what an emotional day this was for her. She concluded with “#adulting,” displaying a bit of her humor, and reminding us that parenting as a milennial is a surreal experience. But make no mistake, the 27-year-old is deeply committed to her role as a mother. Kathryn’s intense maternal love for her children is why she’s deicded to fight so hard for their best interest in this custody battle. Their contentious court battle explains why full family photo ops like these are so rare for this modern family these days. In fact, the last time Kathryn shared anything about Thomas on Instagram, they were both neck deep in Ashley Jacobs drama. Last Autumn, Kathryn filed to amend their custody agreement. Katherine wants full physical and legal custody of both her young children. As you can imagine, Thomas is hardly satisfied with this development, and he’s fighting back. But it may be an uphill battle.  Last year multiple women came forward with sexual assault allegations against Ravenel. One of those allegations, cast by former nanny Dawn Ledwell, led to Thomas’s arrest by Charleston police. The court has also heard sworn testimony from Ledwell about Thomas’ alarming behavior toward Kathryn, including toppling bookshelves in a a fit of rage. At one point he reportedly threw cigarette butts and ashes onto Kathryn while she was sleeping. Both parents have accused the other of being unfit for custody, and both have asserted that the other suffers from a substance abuse problem. But all of this ugliness has played out in legal filings and coutroom arguments. In front of Kensie and Saint, however, the two have stuck to playing nice. That’s how you get heartwarming family photos like the ones Kathryn shared Thursday.

Thomas Ravenel: Kathryn Dennis Just Wants Ruin My Life!

During this ongoing Southern Charm custody battle, Kathryn Dennis expressed that she urgently needs sole custody of her two children. She also asked that the court enjoin her disgraced ex Thomas Ravenel from allowing any girlfriends around their kids. Thomas is firing back, accusing Kathryn of being a hypocrite who has her boyfriend take care of her kids. Thomas doesn’t appreciate Kathryn Dennis’ request for increased child support. The now widely reviled Charleston playboy certainly doesn’t like that she’s asking the court to award her sole custody. And he clearly doesn’t love that she’s demanding that he not introduce Kensie and Saint to any of his skanks. Kathryn also wants Thomas to be ordered to not drink around the children. Now, in documents obtained by The Blast , Thomas is retaliating with his own requests for the judge. First and foremost, Thomas argues that the filing seeking an emergency custody order is nothing short of a farce. Why? Because nothing has changed, so he doesn’t see how there could be an emergency. Thomas also wants the judge to refuse Kathryn’s demand that he refrain from having any girlfriend around his kids. (Notably, his ex Ashley Jacobs is mentioned by name in Kathryn’s filing, but Ashley claims that she hasn’t been in South Carolina in ages) According to court documents, Thomas argues that Kathryn is just trying to harass him and control his life. Then he retaliates with his own accusations. He doesn’t want Kathryn Dennis’ boyfriend , Hunter Price, around his children. Thomas claims that she has Hunter over while she has the kids. In fact, he claims that the country singer stays overnight while she has custody. Thomas even accuses Kathryn of leaving Kensie and Saint in Hunter’s charge, having him take care of the kids alone. He would also like for Kathryn to pay him child support. Notably, Thomas is part of a dynastic family and has an estimated net worth of $6 million. But he says that Kathryn should be the one paying him, on the grounds that she (allegedly) makes six figures per year. Notably, his claima bout her salary checks out. We’ve looked into how much Southern Charm stars are paid , and that comes out to six figures per season. And then there’s the deeply personal accusation. Thomas alleges that Kathryn told their older child that he wanted to hurt and kill their mother. (That is … just not something that we can imagine Kathryn saying to her very young children) He doesn’t want to be disparaged by her any further. Thomas is asking the court to deny Kathryn’s request for sole custody, and to cut down on her visitation time. He wants to suspend her time with Kensie and Saint entirely until Hunter is out of the picture, or at least kept away from their home. Thomas, who once went to prison on drug charges, continues to double down on his claim that Kathryn is some sort of unhinged druggie. He says that random drug tests may somehow be necessary for Kathryn. Considering that Thomas is facing a trial for rape , many don’t see him as the best arbiter for what courts should decide. Blac Chyna Drops First Single, Raps About Her P-ssy

Blac Chyna tried to warn us, people. She actually gave us a heads-up on multiple occasions. But nobody could take seriously someone who willingly had sex with Rob Kardashian, so here we are now, slack-jawked and aghast over Chyna releasing her very first single. The track dropped on Monday, November 5 and it features Chyna rapping alongside such industry heavyweights as Yo Gotti and Jeremih. It also features Chyna rapping about her most private of body parts. “F-k you thought/Thinking you ‘bout to hop out the whip then hop up in this p-ssy /Talk that talk/ But when it’s time to pop a band you hop up and you shook,” the model says at one point, adding: “These broke n-ggas don’t deserve p-ssy.” It's unclear whether she is referencing Kardashian here or not. Late last year, however, an insider said the following to Us Weekly of Chyna's plans: “She’s in the studio hard at work, recording every day. Big name artists, producers and song writers.” And Chyna herself said something similar in a chat with the magazine XXL, making it clear that she was taking this whole music thing very seriously. “When I do drop my music, I just don’t want it to be like, ‘Okay, Chyna’s taking this for granted, she’s not serious about this,”’ she said. “I want people to know that I am serious about this and I want to show my progression and my growth and what not.” Progression and growth are not typically words associated with Blac Chyna. But Chyna asked in this same interview for folks to keep an “open eye, an open heart and an open ear.” That's fair, we guess. As long as Chyna isn't getting back together with Kardashian , we're fine with pretty much anything she wants to do. Also, dare we say it, but… this song isn't terrible! Thomas Ravenel to Stand Trial for Sexual Assault

Thomas Ravenel will have to answer the charge that he sexually assaulted his nanny in 2015. According to South Carolina news affiliate WCSC, a judge named Stephen Harris determined at a hearing on Monday that the case against Ravenel will take a step toward trial, dealing a pretty significant legal blow to the Southern Charm star. Ravenel was arrested in September and charged with second-degree assault and battery after the victim claimed he assaulted her inside of his Charleston home about three years ago. Tdoay’s preliminary hearing (which Ravenel did NOT attend) included graphic testimony from a Charleston police detective. He stated that photos show scratches on the unnamed victim, which prompted the aforementioned charges to be filed. On cross examination, Ravenel’s lawyer said there were problems unlocking the accuser’s cell phone. He also told Judge Harris that this is a case of “he said, she said,” although the victim’s wounds appear to contract that claim. While Ravenel’s young daughter’s slept in the room next door, the nanny told investigators that Ravenel took off his clothes and put the her hand on his private parts. He is then accused grabbing  her private parts. “While inside the location, the defendant undressed and made sexual advances on the victim,” according to an affidavit submitted to the court. It continues: “The defendant grabbed the victim’s hand and placed it on his penis before attempting to [remove] the victim’s clothing. “While attempting to remove the victim’s clothing, the victim’s underwire bra cut into her skin and her shirt wrapped around her neck, which caused the victim to struggle to breathe.” The woman then “crouched down to the ground to try and prevent further assault” before Ravenel allegedly “put his penis in her face,” per to this same document. At one point, the affadavit goes on, Ravenel “pulled down the victim’s pants and said ‘Show me your pussy.'” Ravenel is a former South Carolina state treasurer and anchored Southern Charm on Bravo for several seasons. But he dropped out of the series shortly after news of this assault (and another attempted rape) went public. “In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back,” Ravenel explained at the time of his departure, playing the victim. The accuser, identified only as Dawn, appeared at Ravenel’s bond hearing last month and said she thinks the crime extends beyond simple assault and battery. She said at that time that Ravenel’s kids and also hers were “exposed to constant alcohol and drugs.” Investigators say they have “appropriately time-stamped” photos of all of these injuries to corroborate Dawn’s story. They also have records of her employment that confirm her time line of events. Ravenel resigned as state treasurer in 2007 after pleading guilty to a cocaine possession charge. He has two children with ex Kathryn Dennis: daughter Kensie, 4; and son Saint, 2. Dennis filed for a modification of custody and visitation after his arrest — we don’t blame her. Cory Wharton Takes Aim at Farrah Abraham: Thanks for Your Money, Loser!

In case anyone was wondering… … it looks like Cory Wharton will fit in just fine as a member of the Teen Mom OG cast. How can we say for certain? Because the fitness coach is already firing shots at deposed MTV star Farrah Abraham. Speaking to the Domenick Nati Show this week, Wharton – who cable network viewers might recognize from his days on Ex on the Beach and The Challenge – opened up for the first time about his casting on Teen Mom OG. As previously detailed, Wharton is joining the series this fall as the baby daddy (not boyfriend!) of fellow newbie Cheyenne Floyd . Wharton has the opportunity to do so, of course, because MTV fired Abraham several months ago due to her ongoing participation in amateur pornography videos. Does Wharton wish Abraham were still around? Does he yearn to spar with her on air or just interact with her in various ways? Nope, not really, he says. “I could give two sh-ts less if Farrah was on this season,” Cory said during the aforementioned interview, elaborating a bit as follows: “I think it would be great, more ratings, more exposure for us. I could care less. If she’s happy doing what she’s doing, I have no problem taking her spot this season.” And then here comes the shade: “You can pass her check right over here and I’ll be okay with that.” HA! We love it. And we love it even more because we’re guessing Abraham will hate it and respond in some crass manner on social media. Wharton is following a long tradition of slamming Abraham, as Maci Bookout recently took aim at Farrah herself via a recent Instagram caption. It also appears as if Wharton will be following the even longer-running tradition of getting into major arguments on air, considering the way he teased what fans can expect when Teen Mom OG premieres on October 1. “There’s probably be some type of physical fight,” he said in the interview. “There’s going to be lots of tears.” Sounds par for the MTV course. Here’s a closer look at what’s to come on Season 8: Teen Mom OG Trailer: Are You Happy in Your Marriage? Finally, Wharton explained his relationship with Floyd a little clearer. Folks had been under the impression in the past that Cheyenne didn’t tell Cory he was the father of little Ryder until the girl was six months old. But that isn’t exactly how it played out, he now says. “Cheyenne did tell me she was pregnant right away,” according to Wharton. “She told me there was a chance that it could be mine, but it wasn’t really likely because you know, we hooked up in New York. We weren’t really a thing at the time… We hooked up and after that she started seeing somebody else… They were dating. “We didn’t think it was mine beause it was only one time.” Ah, okay then. At this point, however, Cory and Cheyenne co-parent amicably and, as anyone who follows Wharton on social media knows well, Cory gets to spend a lot of time with his child. “Had a fun day at the apple orchard with the family,” he wrote as a caption to the first image above, concluding: “I just wanted to say thank you guys for all the positive comments and messages, I’ve gotten after letting everyone know we are joining the Teen Mom series. “THANK YOU GUYS!!!!! Ashley Jacobs and Thomas Ravenel: Back Together!

There was a time when Hurricane Florence seemed poised to lay waste to Charleston, before the storm pivoted to pummel North Carolina’s eastern half and drench the rest. Charleston still received its fair share of rain, but disgraced Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel didn’t weather the wind and downpour alone. Remember when he and Ashley Jacobs broke up a month ago? It didn’t take — and they waited out Florence together. RadarOnline reports that Ashley and Thomas are back together , and that they weathered the storm as a couple. “Ashley spent the whole weekend with Thomas while the hurricane hit around them,” an insider revealed to the tabloid. Though there have been reports of Ashley and Thomas secretly hanging out , it sounds like this was more than just friends surviving together. The source announces: “They are back together now!” Well … that’s not the worst news to come out of this storm. We’ll say that much. Why, after breaking up and Thomas accusing Ashley of cheating , are they back together? Apparently, this is Thomas’ doing. “Thomas has never been able to fully break up with Ashley,” the insider explains. Sometimes, people just have the right chemistry — sometimes literally, as pheramones play a huge rule in attraction — and get their hooks into each other. That’s why some exes can haunt you for years. To hear the source tell it, “he just can’t give up on her.” The insider goes on to say that Thomas remains crazy about Ashley “even though he was so mad she was dating other people.” HonestlY? You don’t get that bent out of shape over your ex seeing new people unless they have some kind of hold on your feelings. The source explains that “they have spent so much time together.” “And,” the insider continues. “They are in a totally twisted love affair!” Well, anything involving these two being back together would definitely be a little twisted. As you may recall, they were a toxic couple. On Monday, Ashley made an Instagram post about the storm … but neglected to mention that she had been huddled up with Thomas. “Feeling incredibly fortunate that we were spared the worst…” Ashley writes. “Yet deeply empathetic to those who were not.” Coastal regions of North Carolina have been flooded. Those of us who live in the state have been recoiling at videos of interstates so submerged that they resemble rivers. Ashley continues: “I want to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts and messages this week.” “Thinking of all those affected by hurricane Florence,” Ashley’s post concludes. “Continuous prayers your way.” Though Ashley had wondered who would date her after seeing her antics on Southern Charm , it’s clear that there’s more to this rekindled romance than desperation. Ashley saw something in Thomas that made her pack up her whole life and move across the country after only five dates. Whatever that was, it’s enough to make her support him even after multiple women accused him of sexual assault. Thomas’ own friends and co-stars tried to discourage Ashley by pointing out how unfairly he was treating her, but … some people keep going back. Tess Holliday Claps Back After Piers Morgan Body-Shames Her Cosmo Cover

Piers Morgan can be such a mixed bag. It’s nice ot see him berate that vulture Samantha Grant . It’s gross to see him ask Caitlin Jenner creepy questions about her body . This time, he’s making gross comments about another woman’s body — plus size model and trailblazer Tess Holliday. Tess graced the cover of Cosmopolitan , and Piers was apparently unable to resist commenting on her body and accusing her of being some sort of public health hazard. Before Piers decided to insert his opinion into the narrative, Tess was delighted with her cover. “Phew,” Tess writes on Instagram. “I’m literally a COSMO GIRL!!” “Can’t believe I’m saying that!” she continues. “Thank you @CosmopolitanUK for this incredible opportunity ” Tess discusses the impact that body positivity can have, writing: “If I saw a body like mine on this magazine when I was a young girl, it would have changed my life ” Tess advises her fans: “Issue hits stands 8/31!” Unfortunately, Piers Morgan is one of those dudes who worries about other people loving themselves on their terms instead of on his. “As Britain battles an ever-worsening obesity crisis,” Piers laments. “This is the new cover of Cosmo.” “Apparently,” Piers continues. “We’re supposed to view it as a ‘huge step forward for body positivity.’” “What a load of old baloney,” Piers declares. ” This cover,” Piers continues. “Is just as dangerous & misguided as celebrating size zero models.” Tess took to Twitter and hit back. “To everyone saying I’m a burden to the British health care system,” Tess begins. “I’m american,” Texx explains. “So you don’t have to worry about my fat ass.” She is such a delight and doesn’t hesitate to use humor when speaking truth to power. Good for her. (Naturally, we shouldn’t conflate body size with health, and no one should be seen as a “burden” because of their health) Tess says that the people who are uncomfortable with the size of her body, which literally does not impact them at all, should have more important things on their minds. “Worry about what horrible people you are,” Tess suggests to her detractors. That’s harsh — but considering that Piers just accused her of being the next Typhoid Mary and he was far from the worst person to comment, it’s fair. She says that they have demonstrated that they’re horrible “by whining about how me being on the cover of a glossy magazine impacts your small minded life.” It’s difficult to understand why so many people feel like they have the right to tell other people what to do with their own bodies. Tess’ body does not impact the rest of us. It just doesn’t.  But a photo of her on the cover of a magazine could have a very real and powerful effect on little girls (or others, but girls especially) who are struggling to love themselves. When people like Piers say that body positive images of Tess and women like her will somehow make the “obesity epidemic” worse, it is clear what they really mean. They mean that people who have learned to love themselves won’t go on dangerous starvation diets that ultimately don’t work in a desperate attempt to get their bodies looking how Piers wants them to. If you think that one body type is more attractive than another, that’s fine — we all have preferences. But women are allowed to just exist without you wanting to bang them.

J.D. Madison, Southern Charm Star, Also Accused of Sexual Assault

J.D. Madison and Thomas Ravenel now have something in common. But it’s not friendship and it’s not a role on Bravo reality series Southern Charm. It’s the fact that each has been accused of sexual assault. We’ve documented in the past how Ravenel has been accused of raping both a nanny and a woman with whom he went on a date a couple years ago. The lead Southern Charm cast member has since announced that he will not be returning for Season 6. Now, People Magazine has confirmed that an incident report was filed in August 25 with the Mount Pleasant Police Department against South Carolina businessman Madison, who is pretty tight with Ravenel. He’s appeared multiple times on Southern Charm as a result. According to legal documents, allegations of rape, sexual assault and involuntary drugging have been leveled against Madison by a South Carolina female, whose name was redacted by authorities. The details are pretty disgusting. The alleged victim told police that the incident in question took place on August 21, 2017. She says that she was with Madison, his male friend and another female friend at her house for a drink prior to heading out to a local bar. While there, she alleges that Madison intentionally broke a glass – and, as she cleaned it up, Madison “slipped a drug” in her already-poured beverage on the counter. The victim says that, after finishing the drink, she fell in and out of consciousness. Later, in the early hours of August 22, the woman says she awoke in the guest bedroom of her home where Madison was “forcibly raping and sodomizing her.” The attack supposedly stopped after Madison received a phone call from his wife. Then there’s this addendum to the story: FITSNews has identified the male with Madison and the alleged victim that night as Jay Schwartz, a local chiropractor.  He was arrested on drug charges this same evening. Mount Pleasant are reportedly investigating these charges, while Bravo is yet to issue a comment. The allegations against Madison come three months after allegations of sexual assault were brought against Ravenel by “Nanny Dawn,” who was featured Southern Charm caring for Ravenel’s two children with ex Kathryn Dennis. Thomas Ravenel Basically Accuses Ashley Jacobs of Cheating

Thomas Ravenel does not want your pity. But, if you’re a woman, he very much does want you to give him a call. The veteran Southern Charm star took to Twitter over the weekend in order to make one accusation and one offer. First, the accusation: Ravenel – who quit the aforementioned Bravo series this month amidst allegations of rape by two women – wrote on his personal account that he’s totally fine with Ashley Jacobs ending their relationship a couple weeks ago. For what reason? Because Ravenel hints strongly that Jacobs cheated on him. Today, my personal life just took a huge upward turn,” Thomas Tweeted on Saturday, explaining why as follows: “I finally have more than enough information to move forward without any doubt or hesitation and I’ll never look back.” How ominous sounding, right? The assumption around the Internet is that Ravenel is confirming that he has gathered the necessary intel to prve that Jacobs was sleeping with other men behind his back. That’s why he can finally “move forward” confidently and that’s why he replied to a follower asking if he were single by writing: “And ready to mingle!” Ravenel also sent a second Tweet that cited the Chicago song “If She Would Have Been Faithful,” suggesting that Jacobs had been untrue, writing: “After 30 years I finally understand the lyrics from that wonderful Chicago tune: “If she would have been faithful, if she could have been true, then I would have been cheated, I would have never known real love.” Jacobs – who dated Ravenel for two years and whose feud with his two-time baby mama, Kathryn Dennis, drove much of Season 5 – broke the break-up news to her own social media followers back in mid-August. Fighting off tears in a video, Jacobs said ” I love Thomas and I’ll always love Thomas . I’ll always care about him.” That’s sweet and all, but as we noted above: RAVENEL HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF RAPE ! A former housekeeper and a woman with whom Ravenel went on a date in 2015 have both said he assaulted them sexually. This does not mean he’s guilty, we know. But it’s worth emphasizing. The very rich Charleston resident has denied these accusation, while resigning from Souther Charm and blaming his portrayal on that series for his sullied reputation. “I’m not doing the show anymore,” Ravenel said upon announcing his departure, adding: “In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back.” As for Jacobs? “I hope the best for her … I do feel a bit sad now,” he Tweeted over the weekend. “But now I know that just around the corner, down the street, around the block, something magical is going to happen … perhaps real love.” Perhaps. Or maybe jail time for those aforementioned rape allegations. Ravenel said he is now seeking “a woman with whom the trust, faith, respect and love is immovable,” adding that he felt he never got that from Jacobs. Will Ashley return to Southern Charm for Season 6? It remains unclear. But she attempted to make amends with Dennis via a lengthy Instagram apology last week . Might she next write one to Thomas?
