Meek Mill Denied Travel To Toronto For Sixers Playoff Game

Follow this link:

Source: Allen Berezovsky / Getty Meek Mill hoped to be on the sidelines for game one of the Eastern Conference semifinals game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Toronto Raptors. However, an old legal nemesis for the rapper denied him the chance to go see his hometown squad take on their neighbors to the north. TMZ Sports reports : The Philly rapper has been on probation ever since his 2008 drug and weapons case … and has to get permission every time he wants to leave the state of Pennsylvania. So, when the Sixers got matched up with the Raps in the Eastern Conference semi-finals this week, Meek — a HUGE Sixers fan — filed a request to make the trip to the 6 to cheer on his guys in person. We’re told Meek’s probation officer signed off on the request with no issue … but when it came to getting Brinkley’s signature, she refused to approve the request. Of course, Meek and Brinkley have history … and it’s no secret they don’t get along. Sixers co-owner Michael Rubin says Brinkley is deliberately ignoring their attempts to get approval … teeing off on the judge in an Instagram post. “Judge Genece Brinkley – I know you have a vendetta against Meek Mill and are obsessed with trying to control every aspect of his life, but did you really NOT approve him to go to rep the Sixers in Toronto for the game?” That stinks but hey, not all seven games will be hosted in Toronto and chances are this will be a long series. May the best team win. — Photo: Getty

“That’s Some Real Confused Hater Isht”: Drake Responds To The U.K. Grime Rapper Who Called Him A Culture Vulture

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Drake Responds To Be Called A Culture Vulture It’s no secret that Drake loves adapting to different cultures, their music, and most prominently, their accents. More specifically, the rapper really loves him some U.K. and they seem to love them some him, for the most part–but the feeling isn’t always mutual. Drizzy has been on his Assassination Vacation Tour for the past couple months and recently had to address an incident where a local artist called the Canadian a culture vulture. While the rapper has brought out popular British artists like J Hus, Krept & Konan and Dave throughout his different tour stops, some other U.K. artists still haven’t been feeling how Drake has been operating overseas. One U.K. grime rapper specifically, who goes by the name of Wiley, personally called Drake out on Twitter last week. Aubrey sat down with Tiffany Calvar of BBC’s 1Xtra Rap Show on Saturday and addressed Wiley’s comments, along with anyone else who might think he’s a culture vulture. “I hate that people think that, like, me being into music from these kids who are trying to make it and trying to build a name for themselves, it’s like, ‘Oh, that’s some culture vulture.’ What does that even mean?” The rapper questioned. “I don’t understand what that means. Would you rather me not acknowledge anything or support? That’s some real confused hater s**t. It is what it is. I see it a lot. I’ll never understand how supporting someone’s song or going a step further and giving someone a song, linking up, I’ll never understand how that’s not viewed as something admirable.” He continued, calling out the grime rapper by name: “It was Wiley that said that. I just said his name cause I felt like that was some goofy s**t. But yeah, I just didn’t like that. Like what are you talking about?” During the interview, Drake also addressed those people who say he has a fake accent. “It’s actually funny because I think when I first came in the industry, I think I felt this pressure to, ‘Be American’ and sound American,” he explained.  “I think now that we are all so proud to be from Toronto, we start talking more like how we talk.” Wiley ended up responding to Drake’s call out on his social media pages, posting a clip of the interview on Instagram and calling the rapper “goofy.” View this post on Instagram @champagnepapi #GoofyYeah If what I was saying was wrong you would of stayed silent A post shared by Wiley (@wiley__) on Apr 13, 2019 at 10:57pm PDT

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Alicia Keys hosts the 61st Grammy Awards in Los Angeles and before the show officially got started, a few winners had already been announced including Dave Chapelle for Best Comedy Album, Black Panther for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” for Best Music Video and Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and Future’s “King’s Dead” for Best Rap Performance. At the top of the show, Camila Cabello opens up the 61st annual Grammy Awards with a colorful Cuban inspired set for “Havana” featuring Young Thug. The highlight of the set was obviously Thugger who made a fashionable entrance in his finest Michael Jackson-esque rhinestone loafers but the guests didn’t stop there. Ricky Martin and J Balvin also joined Camila on stage for a “Havana” mashup. When that was over, Alicia Keys took the stage to begin her monologue. She thanked her friends, her husband, showed some love to Tracee Ellis Ross and then took a moment to surprise the audience by bringing out a few queens who happen to be some of the most honored women in the world. A big part of friendship is showing up for your girls—that’s why I was thrilled to be there for the one and only @aliciakeys at the #GRAMMYs . The Dirty Computer singer gave a very eclectic performance while wearing a black vinyl bodysuit and gyrating across the stage. If anybody knows how to put on a show, it’s Janelle Monae. She did THAT! “This Is America” won its second award of the night for Song of the Year. Unfortunately, he and his bleached out beard weren’t in the building to accept it. H.E.R, who was nominated for 5 Grammy awards, hit the stage to perform “Hard Place” and let’s be clear, her mic was ON! H.E.R. can sing live and she made sure we all knew it. The highlight of the night had to be Cardi B channeling her inner peacock and Offset loving every minute of it. The Toronto rapper won “Best Rap Song” for God’s Plan and he was up against some stiff competition. However, when he accepted his award, he treated everyone like a winner. He told his fellow rappers that even though they hadn’t won the actual award, as long as they had fans singing every word of their songs, waiting in the rain for their concerts, they are the real winners. Unfortunately, the Grammy’s wasn’t feeling that. They cut to commercial mid-speech. Yikes! In WTF News: Canadian Man Illegally Carries 5,000 Live Leeches Into Toronto

Source: Edwin Remsberg / Getty Canadian Man To Be Charge For Illegally Carrying Leeches Into Toronto A man who attempted to bring around 5,000 live leeches into Canada will appear before a court in Toronto next month. according to Daily Mail, he’s facing some serious charges. No personal details have been released about the man, but he was found with the live contraband at Toronto Pearson International Airport on October 17 last year. A police dog helped alert authorities that something was amiss when the Canadian man came through the airport following a trip to  Russia , as first reported by  National Geographic . The leeches were discovered in hundreds of containers stored in the man’s luggage. the unnamed man is due to appear in court in Toronto on February 15 charged with illegally importing an internationally regulated species without required permits. He won’t be charged with smuggling as there is no evidence he was deliberately hiding the leeches. When questioned, the man said he was transporting them for personal use and ‘that their wastewater would enrich his orchids.’ However, investigators are convinced he might have been trying to sell the foreign crawlers. They can sell for around $10 each. The things people do for money. Yuck!

Champagne Papi… Literally: Drake Gets Back In The Beverage Game With New Mod Sélection Champagne

Source: Vivien Killilea / Getty Drake Is Diving Into The Alcohol Business Once Again Drake’s Instagram handle certainly isn’t just for show, and he’s proving that to all of us by turning his famous “Champagne Papi” moniker into a business. The star recently entered the alcohol business once again by introducing Mod Sélection, a new champagne that officially launched earlier this week. Drizzy partnered with California-based entrepreneur Brent Hocking for this venture in creating a luxury champagne. The beverage will come in two different non-vintage 750ml selections: Mod Réserve Champagne ($300) and Mod Rosé Champagne ($400), according to reports from  vinepair.com . According to  Mod Sélection’s website , their liqueurs were only previously available to the “political and industry elite,” until now. Luckily for those of us with expensive taste and some money to blow, their champagnes will be available to the public for the first time ever. You can pre-order the bottles here . Drake and Hocking have already collaborated on another liqueur brand in the past, Virginia Black Whiskey in 2016. If you’ll recall, one of the best things about the alcohol is that the Toronto native included his dad Dennis Graham in the mix by featuring him in some absolutely hilarious ad campaigns, playing “the world’s coolest dude.” “The product is great, the presentation is great, and hopefully the representation is great as well,” Drake said in a promotional video via Southern Glazer’s Instagram page. “We’ll enjoy this run. It should be a long one and a strong one. I think the full package is there.” Continue reading

Maitland Ward Still a Hooker of the Day

The internet is a weird place that fucks with people on a psychological level in a weird fucking way….from all the hardcore porn a girl sees her boyfriend or husband addicted to, to all the instagram sluts half naked a girl sees her boyfriend or husband interact with on social media, it makes for a place of insecurity and uncertainty….especially when you were on a hit show with your big tits in the 90s….when people cared about you and when you thought you had a chance to be a big star….since no one realizes that they peaked when they are peaking… So someone like Maitland Ward, forgotten from the masses moves on into the world of social media, with a husband who really wants his girl to be a sex object to get him off, you know porno makes people weird…and a few years later, after cultivating her audience of pervert weirdos, she ends up doing porn for herself, and for her PATREON…making 50k a month…..on the platform the CEO recently came out saying there is no porn on Patreon, only that 90 percent of the money they make come from porn…but they present it better than other people and are fully accepted pornographers…weird. Maybe she’s doing it for herself, maybe for her husband, maybe for the money or the ego boost she gets now that people care and send her dick pics to show their appreciation…but she’s fat and forty….two things that make for shitty fucking porn…that make me ask…why she didn’t get into porn when it was more of a thing, I mean Jenna Jameson made hundred of millions in porn…not 50k a month, more like 50k a day…cuz porn wasn’t some mainstream thing everyone was doing cuz they are half retard primate perverts…. Cuz this shit right here – right now – makes for some disgusting fucking content. JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES!
