Image via ABC Photo Archives/ABC via Getty Images/Bobby Bank/WireImage Danielle Spencer Of ‘What’s Happening!!” Fame Had Emergency Brain Surgery Dr. Danielle Spencer, better known as “Dee” from 80s sitcom What’s Happening!! has announced that she had to undergo emergency brain surgery to save her life. 41 years ago, Spencer was involved in a major car accident that claimed the life of her father, actor Tim Pelt, and left her in a coma for three weeks. On the anniversary of that accident, Dr. Spencer began to suffer from a severe headache. On the third day of that headache, she became unresponsive. Doctors immediately performed a life-saving surgery to remove the bleeding hematoma in her brain. She is now under intense recovery protocol but there is no estimated time of healing as she’s already battled cancer and a spinal injury in her life. There is a GoFundMe to help her with what will be a very expensive journey back to health. Dave East Turns Himself In On Assault Charges Yet another NYC rapper is headed to the courthouse over slapping someone up this week… Dave East is living up to his street rep out here…and it could cost him a few fines and community service time. The rapper is facing misdemeanor assault charges after allegedly popping a man on Pier 40 in NYC while deboarding a party yacht this past July. The incident was caught on camera and briefly went viral on social media: According to TMZ , the man Dave struck, 28-year-old Joel Rosario, says he had no confrontation or even contact with Dave inside the party venue, so he was completely blindsided by the attack and has no idea at all why he hit him. He also claims that he didn’t even know who the rapper was, and police only identified Dave as the man who hit him after an investigation. After the incident, Rosario had to be treated for a laceration above his left eye. Dave turned himself in to police on Tuesday afternoon and was charged with misdemeanor assault and released. Another day, another Chris Breezy struggle. Chris Brown Turns Himself In Chris, learn not to hit and run…people are just looking to set you up. According to TMZ Chris Brown pulled a fast one Monday … turning himself in at an L.A. jail for his hit-and-run case — a day head of schedule. TMZ has learned … Brown showed up at the Van Nuys jail at around 2 PM. We’re told his lawyer, Mark Geragos, engineered it all and the purpose was to make it happen without any photogs present. Brown was booked and released on his own recognizance — no bail. We’re told the whole thing took around 45 minutes. Now here’s what’s interesting. Just a few hours earlier, there was a gaggle of photogs at the courthouse which is connected to the jail, because 50 Cent made a court appearance. When the cameras were gone, Chris appeared. If Chris Breezy was a normal Joe, do you think he would have been booked and released just like that?

Atlanta-based rap producer Shawty Redd has been found not guilty of a murder charge related to his 2010 New Year’s Day arrest. As we previously reported, Shawty Redd (born Demetrius Lee Stewart) was accused of shooting 35-year-old Damon A. Martin of Detroit during an argument at Stewart’s home in Hampton, located in Henry County. Henry County District Attorney Tommy Floyd told the AP that Redd was cleared of the murder charge Thursday after judge Wade Crumbley determined that the producer acted in self-defense. Redd has produced tracks for Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane and others.
