Casting Ejyafjallajökull: The Motion Picture

Hollywood, it seems, is about to catch a severe case of volcano fever. With the news dominated by stories of international travelers who’ve been stranded by a commercial airline system brought to its knees by ash-spewing Icelandic death-chimney Ejyafjallajökull (pronounced “Steve,” oddly) and by incredible images of the apocalyptic cloud blanketing European airspace, development executives are scrambling to get the first volcano project into the pipeline. After the jump, we offer our always-helpful suggestions to harried casting directors who face this imposing task.

This week, Dancing with the Stars ‘s fast-dwindling cast takes on a cinema-related challenge. Will Chad Ochocinco and Pam Anderson read sides from Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf ? Is Human Centipede 2010’s Most Barfiest Movie?

“You do it.” “No, you do it.” “I really think you should be the one covering it.” There is a game of Hot Potato that we’ve played at Movieline HQ over the past few months, and it has to do with a gross little movie called Human Centipede .

The 5 Least Professional Moments from Last Night’s Celebrity Apprentice

Knowing what’s good for us, Celebrity Apprentice staged another challenge that best suited the talents of Cyndi Lauper and Bret Michaels. Scrumptious. This time, the teams competed to best revamp young country stars for a splashy debut. The three remaining gents (Bret Michaels, Curtis Stone, and team-leader Goldberg) wrastled with the image of Elvis/Gomer Pyle hybrid Luke Bryan while the ladies (Holly Robinson-Peete, our girl Summer Sanders , a convalescent Sharon Osbourne, Maria Kanellis and team-leader Cyndi) rebooted perky-young-thang Emily West. While the dudes took another beating in the boardroom, last night’s five most unprofessional moments knew no gender divide.

Lost Takes a Vacation

It looks like Lost ‘s non-stop season will actually be making one previously unscheduled pause. ABC is planning to re-run the Richard Alpert-centric episode, “Ab Aeterno,” on April 27 as a calm before the coming storm. Or maybe just so all the remaining episodes — airing on May 4, 11, 18 with the series finale set for May 23 — can land in May Sweeps. Hey, even the Dharma Initiative has to worry about ad sales.
