Gabourey Sidibe’s SNL Promos: Love Letters in the Samberg

New promos have been released for Gabourey Sidibe’s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live this week, and they accomplish a number of things: 1) They stave off Howard Stern’s pesky doubts about her future . 2) They prove this show could be fun — unlike, say, last week’s episode , and 3) They pair Sidibe with Andy Samberg and reference Precious in a fun way, even if they neglect to mention the Kabletown title Fresh-Ass: Based on the Novel Tush by Assfire.

Octomom Says No to Reality (TV)

Even though she inked a reality TV deal with a Netherlands-based production company, Octomom Nadya Suleman revealed on Oprah today that she won’t ever film herself for a series. “A parent must provide for their kids, not the other way around,” the mother of 14 told Winfrey., adding that the moniker “Octomom” makes her feel like “a carnival attraction.” While she may not go through with a reality series, I think Louis Van Amstel should prepare a carnival barker-themed rumba for her inevitable trek to DWTS . Is Kara DioGuardi the Best Judge on American Idol?

American Idol ‘s current season of contestants is spottier than a D.I.Y. dye-job., but the judging panel isn’t exactly a cohesive powerhouse either. Meet Shiloh Fernandez

Boy, is now just the best time to be an actor in your twenties? So many roles! The latest one up for grabs was the male lead of the Amanda Seyfried thriller Girl with the Red Riding Hood , and it’s gone to Skateland star Shiloh Fernandez. The 25-year-old was once thisclose to being cast in Robert Pattinson’s role in Twilight , so it’s nice for director Catherine Hardwicke to give him another shot. Also, he has a tattoo on his ass . So, there’s that. [ THR ]

Jay Leno Likens Conan’s TBS Rebound to a ‘Very Funny Cat Landing On His Feet’

Jay Leno may have successfully avoided commenting on Conan O’B rien’s new TBS venture last week, but the reigning Tonight Show champion was no match for an Access Hollywood reporter staking out the TV Land Awards red carpet this weekend. There to present an award to Bosom Buddies (for a reason unbeknownst to us, and probably everyone in attendance that night), Leno finally spoke out about Conan’s move to cable… and it was everything you thought it would be.
