Kelly Osbourne Goes Lavender With ‘Old Lady Rinse’

Getty Images. Osbourne snapped a shot of her hair for her Twitter fans. Kelly Osbourne is the latest in a string of celebrities to channel good old “Granny Chic” in their haircolor decisions. The former Dancing With the Stars contestant showed off a head of lavender-colored hair at a Vanity Fair party in Los Angeles Tuesday, just hours after posting a picture of her new hue on Twitter. Osbourne wrote of the new 'do, “I know it's lavender, but having my hair this color makes me feel like me again!” Perhaps Osbourne hasn't been feeling quite herself because of all the attention to her new, slimmed-down figure. She recently told Us Weekly that she'd lost 42 pounds, dropping six dress sizes in the process. We love the almost-gray color on Kelly – it does suit her. Other stars who've been rocking similar shades include Pixie Geldof and Kate Moss. More pictures of Kelly Osbourne:

Vanguard Update: Adam celebrates Holi in India

It’s great to be back out on the field. My latest adventure/assignment brings me to India, where I am right now. As soon as I landed yesterday, we headed straight over to a neighborhood where people were celebrating Holi, one of the biggest holidays here in India. The celebrations consist of people dancing in the streets, throwing paint powder on one another. As soon as these guys saw us, and our cameras, we were instantly targeted. Read more here about India's water crisis and how it impacted even this celebration, and learn more about Holi here. More Americans get news from Internet than newspapers or radio

More Americans get their news from the Internet than from newspapers or radio, and three-fourths say they hear of news via e-mail or updates on social media sites, according to a new report. Sixty-one percent of Americans said they get at least some of their news online, according to a survey by the Pew Internet and American Life Project. That's compared with 54 percent who said they listen to a radio news program and 50 percent who said they read a national or local print newspaper. Almost all respondents, 92 percent, said they get their news from more than one platform. “In the digital era, news has become omnipresent. Americans access it in multiple formats on multiple platforms on myriad devices,” reads the report, based on a survey conducted in December and January. “The days of loyalty to a particular news organization on a particular piece of technology in a particular form are gone.” Social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter have made news a more participatory experience than ever before, the survey suggests. People share links to news stories by e-mail, post articles on their Facebook and other networking feeds and tweet them on Twitter — often following up by discussing the articles on message boards and other sites. Seventy-five percent of respondents said they get news forwarded through e-mail or posts on social networking sites, while 37 percent of online users said they've reported news, commented on a story or shared it on sites like Facebook and Twitter, the survey said. “To a great extent, people's experience of news, especially on the Internet, is becoming a shared social experience … ,” reads the report. “[T]he advent of social media like social networking sites and blogs has helped the news become a social experience in fresh ways for consumers.” Most people said they use between two and five online news sources, and 65 percent said they don't have a single favorite Web site for news. When looking for news online, people said they're most often seeking information about a common topic: the weather. Eighty-one percent said they search for weather information online, followed by national news at 73 percent. Just over half — 52 percent — said they look for sports news, while 47 percent said they look for entertainment or celebrity news. Online news users are generally younger than the average population, according to Pew. About two-thirds of the study's online news users were younger than 50, and nearly 30 percent were younger than 30. Racially, that group is more white and Hispanic than the national average, while half of non-Hispanic black respondents said they get all of their news from offline sources. Only television news still outpaces the Internet, with 78 percent of respondents saying they watch local news and 73 percent saying they view a national network or cable news channel like CNN, Fox News or MSNBC. The report was based on a daily tracking survey of 2,259 adults age 18 or older. The margin of error for all respondents is plus or minus 2.3 percentage points — 2.7 percentage points for Internet users. A combination of land line and cellular numbers was used in the survey. added by: singrrr

Kourtney and Khloe to Take Miami Again

Thank goodness. Both Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian have signed on for a second season of their E! reality show, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami . It’s still unclear where the sisters are taking it, but “into the toilet” appears to be the leading candidate. The new season will premiere this summer. Last year, after being named the stars of their own show, Khloe suddently wed Lakers power forward Lamar Odom; while Kourtney found herself pregnant with a baby that belonged to lazy boyfriend Scott Disick . It was almost as if producers asked the ladies to spice up their lives in some way. A crazy suspicion, we know. Might their reverse roles this summer, with Khloe getting knocked up and Kourtney walking down the aisle? Lisa Berger of E! would only tease: “This time it’s a whole different world as the pair must embrace their new life roles and juggle their hectic careers as they head back to South Beach where fun always follows.” Pardon us while we vomit.

Friend of Jessica Simpson: John Mayer Brought Her to "Dark Places" Sexually

John Mayer recently referred to Jessica Simpson as “sexual napalm,” a woman so wild in the sack, he absolutely couldn’t stop himself from “f*%king her.” Somewhat similarly, as much as we might like to “unfriend” Jessica Simpson on Twitter, we can’t turn it off or hold back from posting her insight on THG. Jessica has learned a thing or two from her past relationships with the likes of Mayer, Nick Lachey, etc.: “You can’t love someone else to change them .” Deep . “Happiness comes from accepting who they are,” the reality star and former singer continued Tweeting. “It is our decision to REALLY know who we love.” We know one guy she’s got no love for nowadays. Jessica Simpson is a Tweeting fiend. The 29-year-olds most talked-about ex these days is certainly Mayer, who found himself in hot water after candidly telling Playboy all about riding that ass . He also dropped racial and gay slurs, which was even less cool. John, who some say she created , likened her to crack cocaine and said she was “crazy” in bed. But did he try to “change” Simpson, as her Tweet implies? During their time together, “[Mayer] brought her to new places sexually, and they were dark places,” an insider said. “She liked being a bad girl and being manhandled, but now she feels it was a mistake because of what he said in the interview.” We can’t decide if that’s LOL or TMI material. Another Jessica Simpson source adds that the star is “disgusted” by Mayer’s remarks. “He actually texted apologizing, like, 12 times, but she ignored it.” We can’t imagine why.
