Source: Gregg DeGuire / Getty Mo’Nique Threatens To Slap Steve Harvey During A Recent Taping Of His Talk Show According to theJasmine BRAND , things were about to go DOWN on the set of Steve Harvey’s daytime talk show. MoNique and Steve allegedly got into a heated argument during taping of his talk show while she was there to promote her Las Vegas residency. The disagreement was allegedly sparked while the pair were discussing Mo’Nique’s controversial comments about Whoopi Goldberg and Tyler Perry. Mo’Nique recently referred to Whoopi in an interview as ‘the help’. Allegedly, Steve told Mo’Nique that she needed to apologize to Whoopi and others that she wrongfully dissed and she allegedly wasn’t having it. Things reportedly got out of hand after Harvey mentioned to her that if she went through with her threat, “her husband would have to come out and square off.” The cameras were said to be rolling during the heated exchange and its believed the episode will air in a couple of weeks.
Just in time for its World Premiere at Fantastic Fest Wednesday night, Disney unleashed a nearly four-minute featurette complete with footage galore from Tim Burton ‘s Frankenweenie . “It’s based on my relationship I had when I was a child with my dog,” Burton notes in the EPK, available below. “It’s probably your first big relationship in your life.” Burton first conceived of the idea of Frankenweenie as a full-length, stop-motion animated feature, but due to that ever-present challenge of budget, he instead made a live-action short which was released back in 1984. But now Burton’s full-length vision is finally set to hit the big screen. Frankenweenie ‘s voice cast include four actors who worked on Burton’s previous films, Wynona Ryder ( Beetlejuice , Edward Scissorhands ), Catherine O’Hara ( Beetlejuice , The Nightmare Before Christmas ), Martin Short Mars Attacks! ) and Martin Landau ( Ed Wood , Sleepy Hollow ). The story revolves around a boy and his beloved dog. After unexpectedly losing his four-legged best pal Sparky, Victor uses his science skills to bring his dog back to life – “with just a few minor adjustments.” He tries to conceal his sewn-up reincarnation, but Sparky escapes and Victor’s schoolmates, teachers and the entire town learn that getting a “new leash on life can be monstrous.” “Victor is a mad very internal boy and he’s a mad scientist as well, which is always good,” quips Burton. Over 200 puppets and sets were used to create the the feature. It is filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D. Robert Downey, Jr. is certainly an It boy at the moment after a summer of Avengers (and more on the way) as well as his current project, Iron Man 3 . Now it appears that he and Jude Law are ready to take on another installment of Sherlock Holmes , but Law said that while the pair are into the idea of a return to the eccentric British detective saga, “but Downey’s a busy boy…” Theoretically, Warner Bros. would be into a third match-up as well. The first installment in which Downey plays the title character, while Law takes on the role of Dr. John Watson, pulled in a massive $209 million-plus – and that was just in the U.S. The 2011 follow-up (both directed by Guy Ritchie incidentally) still cashed in with an impressive nearly $187 million domestically (and well-over a half-billion dollars worldwide). So will it happen or not? Jude Law gave some insight, as reported by Metro in the U.K. “There’s certainly talk of it and I know there’s a script being played around with, but Downey’s a busy boy and I’m a busy boy so we’ll see,” he said. “But we want to [do another one]. We’re a very happy team and we have a lot of fun and we also think there’s still a lot of legs in the duo.” Apparently Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce was tapped to complete a script for the possible third installment. The alleged collaboration of Rihanna and Chris Brown on a remixed version of her single “Birthday Cake” is very much the real deal, as the former couple tweeted it out on Monday evening … which was Rihanna’s 24th birthday, fittingly. Katy Perry and Russell Brand are so in a fight. No, seriously, it’s bad. So much so that the spouses of a little more than one year parted on expletive terms and spent the holidays 7,000 miles apart. After planning to fly her family via private jet to husband Brand’s London hometown for the holidays, Perry changed course, opting to fly to Hawaii. The reason? “They had a massive fight,” an insider says. “She was like, ‘F–k you. I’m going to do my own thing.’ Russell replied, ‘Fine, f–k you too.'” Which explains why, come December 25, the record-setting singer was seen splashing in the Pacific Ocean off the island of Kauai sans wedding ring . Meanwhile, Brand was catching up with some pals in a pub in chilly Coverack, Cornwall, without his ring on either. They’re definitely having problems . “They haven’t split up just yet, but things aren’t good,” acknowledged the source, adding that the divorce rumors are untrue, but rooted in reality. “The fighting is getting worse.” At issue? Lady Gaga’s officially going public with boyfriend Taylor Kinney. With a series of just-released photos in which she makes no attempt to hide her affection, the 25-year-old is finally acknowledging what we’ve known for months: She and The Vampire Diaries ‘ Taylor Kinney are an item, and a cute one at that. Sources say they’re taking it slow, but definitely going strong. Gaga, who first met Kinney on the set of her “You and I” music video (below) when he starred as her love interest and makeout partner, casually slung her arm over her boyfriend’s shoulder as they strolled along a California beach. While the pair appear cozy and are getting along fabulously, a source close to Gaga insists they’re not super serious – mostly because of the strains of her career. “They’re hooking up and getting to know each other,” explains the insider. “Gaga can’t be too committed because she works 24/7. After a career in Hollywood that has spanned four decades, two Oscar nominations, three wives and one notoriously bad mug shot — Nick Nolte returns to the big screen this Friday with his most personal role yet: that of a former alcoholic who desperately seeks forgiveness from his mixed martial arts-fighter family (Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton) in Gavin O’C onnor’s Warrior . During the film’s press day last month, both O’C onnor and Nolte confessed that the struggles of Nolte’s character Paddy O’C onnor were based largely on the actor’s own cycle of substance abuse, sobriety and redemption-seeking — a cycle that sadly continued while the pair filmed Warrior in and around Pittsburgh last year.
