Not only that, to make matters even more serious, the actor is letting fans know that he’s refusing to start work on Aquaman 2 until something is done. Right now, the project–known as Thirty Meter Telescope–is being built there, while Indigenous Hawaiians believe that shouldn’t happen because it’s the most sacred site on Earth. Momoa had already posted on Instagram from the site, but now, he’s making himself all the way clear that he’s had enough. “F**K THIS. And TMT is 4x bigger. Sorry Warner Bros we can’t shoot Aquaman 2. Because Jason got run over by a bulldozer trying to stop the desecration of his native land,” he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. “THIS iS NOT HAPPENING. WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS ANYMORE. Enough is enough. Go somewhere else. Repost. This is what telescope construction looks like (Subaru Telescope, 1992). The TMT will be four times larger on unscathed land. We must protect our scared mountain from further desecration.” View this post on Instagram FUCK THIS. And TMT is 4x bigger. Protestors were recently joined by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who also objected to the construction taking place on such a sacred location. “It’s not about stopping science. It’s about respecting a culture and respecting a people, and doing things the right way,” The Rock explained. “When things escalate to that emotional apex, that is a sign that something has to be done. And to full-charge-ahead isn’t the way to do it.” As for Momoa refusing to film Aquaman 2 , Warner Bros. hasn’t released a statement on the matter–but the film is still set for a December 2022 release. As previously reported Brat alleged that Nicole chased after her sister LisaRaye’s (now ex) husband Michael Misick and LisaRaye said it was “absolutely true” and hinted that Nicole’s a “homewrecker.” “Tha’s true, absolutely true. She messed around with my husband,” said the actress. “We’ve all done something we regret but when you do it and start being messy enough to do it to family?! I don ‘t know if she’s a homewrecker or not but I know what she’s doing to homes is wrecking it.” Now Brat’s doubling down and claiming that her sister has RECEIPTS to prove that Nicole indeed meddled in har marriage. Brat and the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” were on hand for a live taping in Fountain Square in Cincinnati, Ohio for the Cincinnati Music Festival. And when comedienne Luenell joked that “People said LisaRaye was lying [about Nicole Murphy]”, Brat clapped back. “She has receipts, she got pictures, text messages, she got emails,” said Brat according to BOSSIP spies. “She don’t want it with us! We from the Chi!” WELP! It might be wise for Nicole to let Brat and LisaRaye continue their chatter before this situation gets evennnnn messier. Source: Rick Diamond/Wire Image / Getty
Source: Michael Kovac / Getty Algee Smith Reflects On McKay’s Euphoria Episode In New Interview When BOSSIP spoke to Euphoria star Algee Smith last month, he hinted at a specific scene in the show that made him particularly uncomfortable to shoot. I won’t give it away but I have this scene in one episode and it really challenged me as a man to do that scene. It was an uncomfortable scene for me, but I had to learn how to separate myself and just be the actor because someone might be dealing with that type. I had to get over my masculinity issues, as a black man we often have to realize it’s okay to be in this position for a minute. It’s not something that makes you less of a man but some things we just don’t feel comfortable with, like some men don’t feel okay crying. The episode of the series that focused on his character, Christopher McKay, aired last week, which also featured the scene that Smith was referencing above. The shocking turn of events had everyone talking, confused on what really went down when McKay was attacked by a group of fraternity members during an intimate moment with his girlfriend, Cassie. Algee Smith spoke to Complex following the episode causing an uproar to talk about his experience filming, what really happened in that scene, and what we can expect for McKay in the future. On what actually went down in that McKay scene: When I first read that in the script, I [wasn’t] comfortable at first because I thought it was just too much but he’s not harassed in the way that everybody thinks; it’s a hazing thing, [but] people think he’s getting raped or whatever. It’s like, nah, that’s just like messing with him, pinning him down, but the way it really looks on TV, it looks really dark. So I could see how people would think that because the editing made it look so dark. People just don’t know how to respond, [which is] really good though—when people don’t know, they ask questions. That keeps the conversation going. On Euphoria’s reception overall: The demographic is so wide, everyone is being targeted. So you got mothers and fathers who are talking, you got teenagers, you got college students, you got older people, you got the LBGTQ [community] that we’re talking to. We’re talking to everyone. We don’t [pull] any punches and I think that’s the great thing about it, we can relate to everyone. On his favorite episode of the series so far: I’m going to say my favorite was [“The Next Episode”], that’s where I feel like, just because knowing the work that went into it, and knowing how proud I made our director, I would say my episode is probably my favorite so far, but they’ve all been crazy. Everyone was getting crazy and there’s cliffhangers with everyone. On where Algee sees himself 5 years from now: I can see myself very well balancing my acting and my music. I can see myself touring. You’re going to consistently hear me on the radio, on the speaker, and on your screen. That’s my goals, be consistent just keep doing what I’m doing at a high level, getting better every year. With Euphoria already being renewed for season 2 just a few episodes in, there’s no question that this series is going to tell a lot of interesting stories in the future–and Algee is just as excited as we are.
Just a few days ago, Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband, Austin Forsyth, shared some unbelievably tragic news: When they went in for the 20 week scan for Joy-Anna’s pregnancy, the doctor couldn’t detect a heartbeat. Miscarriages typically happen during the first trimester, but for some reason, Joy had one halfway through the gestation – and it was clear that she and Austin were absolutely devastated by the news. Thankfully, as they explained in their social media posts about the news, they’ve been able to find some solace in their faith. “Although we don’t understand why,” they wrote, “God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time.” “Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord.” They also revealed that during the scan, they learned that they were going to have a daughter , and that they named her Annabell Elise. As for the meaning behind the name choice, they said “Annabell means ‘God has favored me,’ and Elise means ‘God satisfies.'” “What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus.” Along with their written post, they also shared a photo of Joy in a hospital bed with Austin comforting her. The next day, they shared even more photos, including some with their late daughter . Those are the ones we’re going to be discussing today. In the caption of the photos, Joy wrote “We only had her for 20 weeks, Life is fragile and precious.” “So thankful the Lord gave her to us for that short time! She will be in our hearts forever!” She also thanked her followers for their love and support, and her best friend, Carlin Bates, “for coming to town to be here for me and for doing my hair and makeup for pictures with our little girl!” They didn’t share a photo of Annabell — the most you can see of her is a hat covering her head as Joy holds her. But because she was in the photos at all, and because of Joy’s comments about having her hair and makeup done, a lot of people are feeling a lot of feelings about all of this. As one of their followers said, “This is a very private moment for y’all to be sharing it … sad. Y’all are different.” “OK, that needed to be a private moment,” another Instagram user agreed. “Not something that you get your hair and makeup done and dress up a miscarriage. We are all praying for you but REALLY. Get real!” One person went a step further, commenting “Honestly it seems a little sadistic to me to have a full on photo shoot with a deceased baby, just for likes on the internet. I could never.” Another particularly insensitive comment read “Hair and makeup to take pics with your dead baby?! Jesus sweetheart your families priorities are disgusting.” These are just a small sampling of the comments on Joy and Austin’s Instagram post, but similar things were said in several places across the internet where the Duggars are discussed. And it’s honestly not OK. The loss that Joy has experienced is huge, and one that not everyone will go through. You can judge the Duggars for all sorts of things, but you can’t judge them for she’s grieving now. It’s not uncommon for people to do photo shoots like these to remember the only time they’ll be able to see and hold their child, and if Joy wanted to look nice for such an unimaginably tragic occasion, what harm does it really do? Besides, so many women have already thanked her for, as they see it, being brave enough to share such personal photos because they too have had similar losses, and it’s nice to know they’re not alone. Some may have a hard time looking at these photos, and that’s understandable. View Slideshow: 33 Stars Who Have Suffered a Miscarriage Others may not be able to comprehend why she’d want these photos, let alone why she’d want to share them with thousands upon thousands of strangers, and that’s fine too. But we can let the girl grieve, can’t we?
Hollywood is reacting in shock and sorrow to the death of a young actor today. As previously reported, Cameron Boyce is dead at the very young age of 20. The Disney Channel star, best known for roles in Jessie and Descendents, passed away in his sleep after suffering a seizure. “It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” the actor’s family said in a statement on Sunday, adding in awful detail: He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother. In the wake of this tragic news going viral, a number of stars have taken to social media to express their sadness and send their condolences. And one of the most prominent tributes was penned by Adam Sandler. “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and and most decent kid around,” Sandler wrote on Twitter. He appeared opposite Boyce in both Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2. Added the long-time star: “Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences.” Just so heartbreaking all around. Elsewhere, director Kenny Ortega penned the following on Instagram: My Love, Light and Prayers go out to Cameron and his Family. Cameron brought Love, Laughter and Compassion with him everyday I was in his presence. His talent, immeasurable. His kindness and generosity, overflowing. It has been an indescribable honor and pleasure to know and work with him. I will see you again in all things loving and beautiful my friend. I will search the stars for your light. Rest In Peace Cam. You will always be My Forever Boy. There was also the following from Charles Esten, who appeared on Jessie as Boyce’s character’s dad. “My family and I are devastated today, by the loss of our young and amazing friend, Cameron Boyce. Years before I was blessed to play his father on JESSIE, we were blessed to know him and his wonderful family at the elementary school our kids all attended together,” the Nashville alum began in a series of Tweets. He continued: “It was there we were introduced to his endless talent, kindness, and joy for living. At his very 1st talent show, little Cameron’s dancing lit up the stage, and left everyone on their feet, cheering. “It was clear to all that he was destined to be the star he would soon become. And yet, Cameron never carried himself with anything but kindness, humility, effortless grace, and great humor. “Even as his star ascended with JESSIE, and he began to receive the type of fame that can change people, I never saw that change. Not even a little.” And this from actress and Disney Channel co-star Skai Jackson: “I don’t even know where to start… I am at a loss for words. I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. “Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken. I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs. I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. “Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had… I am so distraught and I cannot stop crying! I love you so much… fly high, Gods best Angel.” Boyce made his acting debut at the age of nine and then was cast in Grown Ups at the age of 11. We’ll conclude this post with these words from Gregg Sulkin: Heartbroken. Lost for words. I had known Cameron Boyce for many years. He was always polite. Always respectful and always a class act. In fact I was going to message him a couple weeks ago to tell him that I wanted to be in each other’s lives more. Now I wish I had sent that message. Just so he personally knew how highly I thought of him and how much admiration I had for him. My heart goes out to his family & his close friends. Cameron, you were and still are a star. May god bless you in heaven. You will be missed down here. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam
