Shaquille O’Neal And Big Shaq Are In A Really Interesting Rap Beef

View original post here:

Source: Joe Murphy / Getty If you haven’t heard of Big Shaq , you’ve probably seen at least one meme about his famous “freestyle” that ended up going viral. He fooled everyone into thinking he was a (hilariously bad) rapper, but is actually British comedian named Michael Dapaah playing a character. His freestyle went viral back in early September when his “The Ting Goes” meme completely popped off, following his appearance on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s “Fire in the Booth.” That same freestyle was also the result of the ever-quotable “Mans Not Hot,” a song that showed up on iTunes very shortly after it took place. A few weeks after the song dropped, the real-deal Shaquille O’Neal heard about it, and decided to release a diss track aimed at the man calling himself Big Shaq. In the track, he declares that there is “only one Big Shaq” and then proceeded to throw some more jabs in the British rapper’s direction. He also collaborated on the song with a rapper from Toronto named ShaqIsDope , making things all the more confusing in this Shaq v. Shaq beef. The diss track against him only fueled Big Shaq’s momentum. He turned right back around and released a video for his viral track “Mans Not Hot” nearly 2 weeks after Shaq’s diss track hit the internet, which quickly gained millions of views. The music video created even more longevity for a viral sensation that wasn’t going to die any time soon. One day following the release of his music video, Big Shaq then responded to Shaq by performing a remix of “Mans Not Hot” for  Bleacher Report, which is also labeled as a diss to the former Laker.   And for the latest in beef news, it seems like Mr. O’Neal caught wind of the track aimed at him. On Monday night, he took to Instagram to address Big Shaq for a second time. He called the rapper a fraud and referred to him as “fake Shaq,” also telling him to “#learnhowtorap.” That’s the end of the beef, for now, but who knows what will happen later on. Maybe all Shaqs can live together happily ever after and release a song together.

Justin Bieber-Michael Jackson “Slave to the Rhythm” Collaboration: Listen Now!

A new collaboration from two music icons of different generations, Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson, called “Slave to the Rhythm,” has hit the Internet. Listen to the mysterious new song from JB & MJ below: Michael Jackson Ft. Justin Bieber – Slave to the Rhythm Minds? Officially blow. So what’s the deal here? “Slave to the Rhythm” was a little-known Michael Jackson song that made its way online after his death. Michael’s vocals and lyrics remain intact here. A heavier dance beat and Justin Bieber’s contributions have been added, of course, making for a monster collaboration of unknown origin and authenticity. It’s unclear whether this remix was meant to be officially released, or if it’s a fan creation, though Justin’s tweets give the impression that it’s legitimate. Shortly after the song began hit YouTube and Twitter, Justin Bieber began tweeting about the King of Pop, writing, “Excited for what is to come. MJ set the bar.” “Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how u treat the fans. Wish he was here. All of it is not always easy but it is a blessing. We can change the world.” “I’m up for the challenge. Big things ahead! #greatness. love you.” What do you think of the Michael Jackson-Justin Bieber track?

Lady Gaga Apologizes For ‘Retarded’ Comment

‘To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional,’ singer says. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Larry Busacca/Getty Images When Lady Gaga dropped “Born This Way” earlier this year, the tune immediately drew comparisons to Madonna’s “Express Yourself.” Shortly after the song was released, Gaga shared with the world that the pop queen liked the song and gave the pop princess her seal of approval. Now Gaga has once again been asked about the comparisons in a new interview with NME . And she didn’t seem pleased by the line of questioning. “That’s retarded. If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression. It’s the same one that’s been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I’m the first f—ing artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn’t mean I’m a plagiarist, it means I’m f—ing smart. Sorry.” The issue hit newsstands on Tuesday and by late Wednesday night the singer had issued an apology to her fans about her choice of words when defending herself and the chart-topping tune. “I consider it part of my life’s work and music to push the boundaries of love and acceptance. My apologies for not speaking thoughtfully,” she said in a statement to Perezhilton.com . “To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional. An honest mistake requires honesty to make.” She then went on to quote some lyrics from the feel-good dance track: “Whether life’s disabilities left you outcast, bullied or teased, rejoice and love yourself today.” What do you think of Gaga’s apology for using the “R” word? Lady Gaga’s ‘Judas’: Fans Weigh In!

Gaga’s Little Monsters declare the track ‘genius’ and ‘hardcore.’ By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images Lady Gaga gave her fans a treat for the weekend when she dropped her new single “Judas” days earlier than the previously announced April 19 release date. Right after the RedOne-produced song dropped, Gaga tweeted about the single, the second from Born This Way, due May 23. “Even After Three Times He Betrays Me,” she wrote, harking back to the song’s lyrics about love and betrayal. “THE REAL JUDAS: HE’S EVERYWHERE, NOW. DON’T STOP UNTIL HE’S YOURS,” she added. She also tweeted art for the song: In bright-red font, the word “Judas” appears in all caps, above a red cross with a heart in the middle. The art was teased in an installment of Gagavision earlier this week. Shortly after the song was released, fans immediately reacted to the genre-defying track that mixes dance, metal and even reggae. “I’ve listened to it at least 20 times already…can’t get enough….going 2 b another number one for sure! PAWS UP!” SHforlife commented on MTV News’ article about the song’s release. “This song is legit…beat is fn hardcore to the max…genius…” “I’ve listened to it just once so far. I know that just like ‘Born This Way,’ the more I listen to it, the more I like it!! Great song. I hope it still debuts pretty high atop the Hot 100 even though there was virtually no hype for this like there was for BTW!” Kyle noted. “It kinda just came out of no where! Could be a good thing though!” There have been some detractors, including critics who think “Judas” sounds too much like “Born This Way,” but the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Chifi55 called it “revolutionary, breathtaking… Gaga is changing music history and no one can stop her!!” Many of Gaga’s Little Monsters have simply dubbed the song “amazing” and “awesome,” while many have been able to articulate what it is about the song they love so much. “JUDAS!!!!!!!…..Lady Gaga the cultural baptist!!!!!!!!!!!” Rohit Little commented. “I’m in love with JESUS for making GAGA for making JUDAS for giving me eargasms!!!!” What do you think of “Judas”? Let us know in the comments! Related Photos The Evolution Of: Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga

Jesse McCartney Announces New Single

‘Shake’ will hit radio in September, with a new album to follow. By Jocelyn Vena Jesse McCartney Photo: Bryan Bedder/Getty Images Jesse McCartney is ready to give his fans new music. The singer has announced plans to release a single sometime next month, and he’ll have a new album coming out sometime after the song’s release. The singer, known for hits like “Beautiful Soul” and “Leavin,” tweeted the news Monday (August 16) night. “Here we go…The first single is called SHAKE and will be given to radio AFTER LABOR DAY! Album title? Haha! Yall have to wait for that one.” While fans will only have to wait a few more weeks to hear “Shake,” they won’t find out what McCartney’s album will sound like for a while. It’s been two years since the singer released his third album Departure , which was re-released in 2009 as Departure: Recharged . His song “Up” appears on the “Step Up 3D” soundtrack. The last time McCartney caught up with MTV News , he was hoping to reunite with his “How Do You Sleep?” collaborator Ludacris once again. “I know that I might work with Ludacris again,” he said last December. “That’s maybe a possibility, and he’s great — he’s one of my favorite rappers … and he’s amazing to work with.” He also had an idea of what he wanted the album to sound like. “It’s gonna be kind of a continuation of Departure , but maybe a little more R&B slightly. You’ll get the chance to hear what’s going on in my head right now and a little … more personal,” he said. “It’s a little bit more raw, but still rhythmic and upbeat. It’s still soulful. I’m still kind of writing it all out. I don’t want to give too much away.” Related Artists Jesse McCartney
