Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty He Joins A Long List Of Artist Coming For The Video Game Rappers and viral move-makers alike are continuing their campaign against Fortnite and this time BlocBoy JB is joining the fray. According to TMZ , the Tennessee spitter has filed a lawsuit against Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite , saying they stole his “Shoot” dance. The popular leg and hand-chopping move was featured in BlocBoy’s music video for “Shoot,” and Drake made it even more popular when he performed it at parties and in his “Look Alive” music video with BlocBoy. Fortnite has an identical dance that players can acquire called the “Hype” dance. BlocBoy is calling BS, saying Fortnite didn’t get permission to use a dance he created in their video game. Granted, BlocBoy never copyrighted the dance when Fortnite used it, but he says he’s in the process of getting that done. He’s being repped by Sandy Lal and David L. Hecht , who’s repping other artists and dancers accusing Fortnite of theft , including Alfonso Ribeiro . Ribeiro, who’s forever treasured as Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, filed his lawsuit against Fortnite back in December 2018. He accuses the game of stealing his “Carlton dance” for use in the game. Backpack Kid , who’s behind “The Floss” dance, and 2 Milly , who ushered in the Milly Rock, are also coming for Fortnite ‘s coins. Smh, they better stop playing with these dancers.
So… this happened on Friday: View Slideshow: Jenelle Evans Sets Fire to Kailyn Lowry Hair Care Products: Take Your Peace Offering and … As documented in the gallery above, Jenelle Evans received a gift from Kailyn Lowry earlier in the week. It was a package of Kailyn’s Pothead Haircare products. Nice and thoughtful, right? Not quite, according to Evans, who responded by filming herself POURING GASOLINE ON THE PRESENT AND THEN SETTING T ON FIRE. “Hey, Kail. This is to your peace offering,” she quipped before taking this dangerous and pretty hilarious course of action. “Been debating whether to upload this, but I feel like the time is appropriate. Kail Lowry, for years you’ve been super jealous and envious of all us girls on the show,” Evans captioned the post, adding: “You try to make your way into the group, then turn into a mean ass person when it came down to me.” Along with the emoji of a raised middle finger, Evans concluded: You apologize on/off, claim I need to be apologizing sometimes, then talk shit constantly about me and my husband to the tabloids?! T HEN you had the balls to send me a PEACE GATHERING GIFT?! Don’t send me gifts and then go talk shit AGAIN!!! Wow, you’re an idiot cuz this is what I do for gifts sent from fake ass bitches like you. Stay our of my life, go worry about your own. Pretty straightforward, huh? It sounds very much as if Lowry received Jenelle’s message loud and clear… … and isn’t all that stressed about it. “I knew they would do this. I’m not upset at all,” Lowry told Us Weekly when asked about the burning. Kailyn also shared a screenshot of Evans’ video on her Instagram Story shortly after it was posted and wrote: “So Jenelle set my peace offering gift on fire…” She proceeded to joke about the incident on Twitter by replying to tweet with a picture of the flame-engulfed products and adding, “Potheadhaircare.com is [fire emoji].” It’s true. In her own way, Jenelle has provided her foe with all the free publicity she could ever desire via this gesture. The Teen Mom 2 stars have been at odds with since August when Jenelle appeared to slam Lowry for hooking up with her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin, after his romane with their fellow castmate Briana DeJesus ended. The drama didn’t stop there, though. Evans later accused Lowry of exploiting her and their rivalry for the sake of podcast downloads. “Soooo it’s ok to constantly talk about me on their podcast tho? Don’t you have any other topics than me?! #Flattered,” Evans tweeted at the time, to which the Hustle and Heart author replied: “You’re not actually interesting.” Jenelle Evans to Kailyn Lowry: Your Hair Products SUCK! DeJesus, meanwhile, has also chimed in on Jenelle’s burning. She’s no fan of Kailyn, either, not after they both slept with Javi — and she said the following to In Touch Weekly: “This isn’t my beef but I agree with what Jenelle did and completely get where she’s coming from. “You can’t say sorry and try to make peace and then go talk sh-t about Jenelle and her family. “Kail did the exact same thing to me – talked mad sh-t for a long time and then tries to claim she wanted to make peace at the reunion only to try to provoke some sort of ridiculous fist fight.” Concluded Lowry here: “Kail has a way of pushing people’s buttons, bringing them to a high level of pissed off, and then trying to play the victim in every situation. “I can assure you from my experience, [Kail] is not the victim.” View Slideshow: Teen Mom 2 Trailer: Jenelle Evans’ Marriage Implodes, Leah Finds Love, Adam Still Sucks & Much More!!
Cardi B and Offset are back together. We mean this literally. The roller coaster couple, whose marriage seemingly came to an end three weeks ago, were spotted on Friday in Puerto Rico. TMZ has posted a photo of the artists on a jet ski in this territory, Cardi’s arms around Offset’s waist and a large smile on both their faces. The previously estranged couple was in the region because Cardi played a set Friday night in San Juan at the Electric Holiday festival. They’ve been in the news non-stop all month because, as mentioned above and depicted below, Cardi told the world that she was separating from her husband. Cardi B and Offset: It’s Over! The day after this news broke, text messages between Offset and a woman named Summer Bunni made their way around the Internet, during which the rapper asked his person to arrange for a threesome… … without Cardi as one of the participants. Summer Bunni then confessed that she had been having an affair with Offset. She apologized for her naked actions and said it was never her “intention” to break up a happy home. She just didn’t think Offset’s marriage was very serious. From there, well… things got really weird. First, Offset begged and pleaded for Cardi to take him back, alleging that he never slept with Summer Bunni, but admitting that he did “entertain her.” Offset Begs, PLEADS for Forgiveness from Cardi B Then, Offset appeared on stage at one of Cardi’s concert and once again issued a mea culpa. Cardi appeared uninterested in what her husband had to say and Offset quickly left the stage. But nearly everyone with three or more working brain cells assumed this was nothing but some weird PR ploy by the couple . You can watch below and try to judge for yourself. Offset Crashes Cardi B Concert, Issues VERY Public Apology And then from there … well… Cardi B recorded a video in which she gushed and gushed about Offset’s penis. She said she missed having it in her mouth. And said she missed having it inside of her. And said she really wanted her man to “demolish” her once again. She said all this while loudly slurping on coffee, as you can see here: Cardi B Really Misses Getting Rammed by Offset What does all of this add up to, when you also consider the latest sighting in Puerto Rico? We can’t say for certain whether Cardi and Offset are an official item once again. But we can say with confidence that we bet both wake up feeling rather sore in the morning… if you know what we mean.
While Cardi B continues her assault on hip hop, pop Kulture (see what I did there?) and the world in general, she recently took a spin in the infamous Carpool Karaoke. Check it out! Via | HotNewHipHop Cardi stuck to her own hits. The Migos stopped by Carpool Karaoke with James Corden just a few weeks back, and now Cardi B has her own time to shine in the light. After her former lover Offset assisted his group in singing a range of songs, Cardi took to the show and made it all about her. Instead of following the usual format of singing over other artists’ hits, Cardi performed a medley of her own songs. The car ride begins with Cardi rapping to “Bodak Yellow.” READ MORE
Source: Tenzin Sherub / CM Media The energy was high on Thursday night at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. The influential Tokyo clothing brand A Bathing Ape (a.k.a. BAPE) celebrated their 25th anniversary with the BAPE HEADS SHOW starring Kid Cudi , Wiz Khalifa , Big Sean and more. BAPE has a lengthy history of combining fashion and music with their very first BAPE HEADS SHOW going down in 1997. The brand created the concert series as a way to show love to their fans and the artists who support them. Over the years, everyone from Kanye West to N.E.R.D. has hit the BAPE stage. The show on Thursday, December 6 was the first show to be held in New York City and it was produced by LTB Entertainment Inc. and CM Media. Lil Yachty opened up the show and he definitely set the tone right with his high energy songs. Fans across the Hulu Theater were out of their seats, rocking to bops like “NBAYOUNGBOAT” and his infectious hit with DRAM “Broccoli.” Pusha T was next in line and he easily pushed through the seven track off his brief, yet undeniable album Daytona. “ Rap album of the year,” he repeated throughout his set. With a recent Best Rap Album Grammy nomination , you can’t call Push a liar. Once Push’s set was done, it was only right that he transitioned by bringing fellow GOOD Music artist Big Sean on the stage for the tracks “Mercy” and the “I Don’t Like” remix. From there, Pusha T left the stage and Big Sean breezed through hits like “Blessings” and “I Don’t Fu** With You.” In between songs, Sean talked about how BAPE helped jump-start his career by booking him for performances and he encouraged people to follow their dreams. After Sean’s inspirational words, it was all about the buzz and the party when Wiz Khalifa came out. Naturally, he encouraged his fans to light up throughout the show as he performed party tracks like “Gin & Drugs.” Then when it came to inspirational songs like “See You Again,” he encouraged his fans to sing along. “Ya sound good,” he said to the crowd as they swayed back and forth. The highlight of the night probably came from the show’s closer Kid Cudi . The 34-year-old hasn’t had an easy time in the spotlight, especially after revealing he suffered from depression back in 2016. But now, after finding joy through the sadness , Cudi was all smiles as he performed to adoring fans at MSG. This was evident when he closed out with the song “Reborn” from his collaborative album with Kanye West Kids See Ghosts. Cudi seemed to be a new man as he jumped into the crowd to sign posters and to show his fans love. All of this was the perfect way to celebrate BAPE’s 25th anniversary and the brand isn’t done celebrating. BAPE released a limited edition BAPE HEADS SHOW t-shirt that’s available at their New York and L.A. store, as well as US.BAPE.COM . A second limited-edition t-shirt is set to drop on Saturday, December 8 at the BAPE store in New York, located at 91 Greene Street.
Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Rapper 2 Milly is going forward with his lawsuit against Epic Games, the studio behind the addictive video game Fortnite. The rapper doesn’t want anyone Milly Rocking on any block in the game anymore, unless Epic Games cuts a check. Speaking with TMZ exclusively , 2 Milly admits he didn’t know anything about Fortnite until people started hitting him up on social media telling him his dance moves were jacked and being used in the game. He added his daughter even pointed out the similar dance moves players can make their in-game characters do. The Milly Rock didn’t start showing up in the game till season 5 back in July, and the rapper wasn’t aware his dance move called the “Swipe It” was being sold for use in the game till months after. Per TMZ : “The rapper filed legal docs this week against Epic Games — the company that makes Fortnite Battle Royale — for allegedly using his popular Milly Rock moves in the game without his permission to capitalize on the popular dance craze … and make a ton of cash.” “According to the docs … Fortnite players can purchase the dance — which is called “Swipe It” in the game — for their characters. Problem is … 2 Milly claims “Swipe It” is an exact replica of his Milly Rock, but they never asked him to use it or offered to pay him for it.” According to the docs, 2 Milly is suing Epic for legal fees and damages and wants the dance deleted from the game. The “Swipe It” is no longer being sold but if players already purchased it, they can still use it. The Milly Rock is not the only Hip-Hop dance move in the game, Snoop Dogg’s signature moves from his “Drop It Like It’s Hot” video and Alfonso Ribiero’s “Carlton dance” are also available for purchase and use in the game. 2 Milly’s attorney David L. Hecht of Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht LLP speaking to TMZ that his firm “proud to stand up for African-American creatives whose expression and likenesses have misappropriated. Epic is enjoying record profits off of downloadable content in Fortnite, yet has failed to pay or even ask permission to use artists’ intellectual property and likenesses over many of its popular emote dances.” 2 Milly has a lot of people on his side including fellow Hip-Hop artist Chance The Rapper. Fortnite should put the actual rap songs behind the dances that make so much money as Emotes. Black creatives created and popularized these dances but never monetized them. Imagine the money people are spending on these Emotes being shared with the artists that made them — Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) July 13, 2018 While he has allies, history isn’t on his side, and this might be an uphill battle. There is no case law surrounding the copyrighting of choreography. We wouldn’t be shocked if Epic and the rapper reached some sort of settlement. We wish him luck in getting his coins though. — Photo: Johnny Nunez / Getty
