Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa & More Own The Spotlight At BAPE Heads Show In NYC

Source: Tenzin Sherub / CM Media The energy was high on Thursday night at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. The influential Tokyo clothing brand A Bathing Ape (a.k.a. BAPE) celebrated their 25th anniversary with the BAPE HEADS SHOW starring Kid Cudi , Wiz Khalifa ,  Big Sean and more. BAPE has a lengthy history of combining fashion and music with their very first BAPE HEADS SHOW going down in 1997. The brand created the concert series as a way to show love to their fans and the artists who support them. Over the years, everyone from Kanye West to N.E.R.D. has hit the BAPE stage. The show on Thursday, December 6 was the first show to be held in New York City and it was produced by LTB Entertainment Inc. and CM Media. Lil Yachty opened up the show and he definitely set the tone right with his high energy songs. Fans across the Hulu Theater were out of their seats, rocking to bops like “NBAYOUNGBOAT” and his infectious hit with DRAM “Broccoli.”   Pusha T was next in line and he easily pushed through the seven track off his brief, yet undeniable album Daytona. “ Rap album of the year,” he repeated throughout his set. With a recent Best Rap Album Grammy nomination , you can’t call Push a liar. Once Push’s set was done, it was only right that he transitioned by bringing fellow GOOD Music artist Big Sean on the stage for the tracks “Mercy” and the “I Don’t Like” remix. From there, Pusha T left the stage and Big Sean breezed through hits like “Blessings” and “I Don’t Fu** With You.” In between songs, Sean talked about how BAPE helped jump-start his career by booking him for performances and he encouraged people to follow their dreams. After Sean’s inspirational words, it was all about the buzz and the party when Wiz Khalifa came out. Naturally, he encouraged his fans to light up throughout the show as he performed party tracks like “Gin & Drugs.” Then when it came to inspirational songs like “See You Again,” he encouraged his fans to sing along. “Ya sound good,” he said to the crowd as they swayed back and forth. The highlight of the night probably came from the show’s closer Kid Cudi . The 34-year-old hasn’t had an easy time in the spotlight, especially after revealing he suffered from depression back in 2016.  But now, after finding joy through the sadness , Cudi was all smiles as he performed to adoring fans at MSG. This was evident when he closed out with the song “Reborn” from his collaborative album with Kanye West Kids See Ghosts.  Cudi seemed to be a new man as he jumped into the crowd to sign posters and to show his fans love. All of this was the perfect way to celebrate BAPE’s 25th anniversary and the brand isn’t done celebrating. BAPE released a limited edition BAPE HEADS SHOW t-shirt that’s available at their New York and L.A. store, as well as US.BAPE.COM . A second limited-edition t-shirt is set to drop on Saturday, December 8 at the BAPE store in New York, located at 91 Greene Street.

Let It Gooo: 10 Classic Shows We’d Rather See On Netflix Besides Friends

More here:

Source: Jean-Paul Aussenard / Getty The power of the Internet has struck again, and this time, Netflix was it’s victim. False reports have been spreading all month long that the streaming service would be getting rid of Friends as of January 1, 2019. But as we all know, Friends fans will do anything to keep Chandler, Ross, Rachel and the rest of the crew on air as long as humanly possible. According to Entertainment Weekly , “A Change.org petition was even launched begging Netflix to keep the title, calling its removal “unfair, unacceptable and downright inhumane.” Although Netflix had no intention on getting rid of the popular show, they must’ve got wind of the backlash, because the following day it was reported that the streaming service paid $100 million to keep Friends throughout 2019. EW added, “Netflix bought the rights to Friends back in 2014 in a massive deal, shelling out $118 million for the rights for all 10 seasons of the former NBC series. Plus the service digitally remastered every episode for HD streaming. Netflix introduced Friends to a new generation where it became popular all over again as a dose of ’90s nostalgia.” But is it just us, or are there far better shows out there that would probably cost much less than Friends and bring in twice as many viewers? The service has also been criticized for getting rid of content that were predominantly geared toward people of color. @AlsWulf tweeted , “Netflix out here dropping amazing shows that have a positive impact on the minority community like The Get Down due to it being “too expensive”, but drop $100mil on Friends because a certain demographic complained.” @CandaceJeanne also brought up a great point. She wrote, “Dearest @Netflix: Think of all the projects from women, people of color, LGBTQ folks and more that you could fund with that additional $60 million. (I mean, I don’t know how much it costs to make a show but I’m gonna guess it’s at least more than one.)” If Netflix knew what was good for them, they’d listen to millenials and POC — a.k.a. their central audience —about what content folks would like to see on the service. So we put together a list, just in case they need some help. Hit the flip to check it out. And if we missed anything, share your thoughts on Twitter and Facebook.

Kylie Jenner and her Black Boyfriend in a Stripper Bikini of the Day

I like that 17 year old Kylie Jenner realizes that now is the peak time based on historical evidence, for her to make as much noise as fucking possible, because America loves girls when they are 17, about to turn 18, acting slutty…even though we were all 17 once and probably fucking slutty 17 year old girls who had been fucking older guys since they were 14…at least I was…It’s not like teens don’t jerk off or watch porn, especially in this era fuck…they’ve been watching porn since they were 5. Thanks Internet. But for some reason, a reason I call programming…the media loves saying “OMG THIS 17 YEAR OLD FUCKS”…or “WEARS STRIPPER BIKINIS”…or “HAS ASS IMPLANTS”….it’s like they forget that you can be a whore at all ages…especially when your mom forces it on you…and focus on a dated law that doesn’t reflect the fact that 17 and 18 is pretty much the same fucking thing…only this is illegal…and won’t be in a few months, even though it is being treated like it is not illegal, because the government can’t decide when a girl’s ready or not… Here’s some pics of her from instagram… Here’s a video of a girl doing the “#kyliejennerchallenge”….which is a tactic to suck on a jar to make your lips fuller…and it is amazing to see the positive impact she has on the youth: Here are some pics: The post Kylie Jenner and her Black Boyfriend in a Stripper Bikini of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepfather .

Fix It Jesus: African-American Unemployment Rate Remains In Double Digits As 200k+ Jobs Are Added To Economy

Black Unemployment Rate Remains Above 11 Percent Although the unemployment rate is reported to be steadily decreasing overall throughout the U.S., it still remains in the double-digits within the black community. via News One The overall unemployment rate ticked up to 6.2 percent in July from 6.1 percent. The unemployment rate for African-Americans remains in double digit figures, rising to 11.4 percent. During the six straight months that have topped 200,000 job gains, more people have looked for work. In July, an additional 329,000 began looking, yet only 131,000 jobs were added, according to the Labor Department’s survey of households. A consequence of the influx of job-seekers last month is that the unemployment rate rose for women, African-Americans, high school graduates and people with some college experience. But the overall trend for the past 12 months is clear: The unemployment rate is steadily dropping for almost everyone. Hopefully the overall unemployment rate will continue to decrease and these effects will have a positive impact on the numbers in the black community.

George “I’m Down With The Sistas” Lucas Makes An Impact On African-Americans In Hollyweird With ‘Red Tails’ Film

George Lucas Makes An Impact With Red Tails George Lucas is all the way down with the brown… George Lucas believes his big-budget movie “Red Tails” about the famed Tuskegee Airmen moved the ball forward for films starring or created by African-Americans in Hollywood, but didn’t change the game. “It had an affect on a lot of kids and adults. Now it’s the one thing that everyone comes up to me and says ‘thank you’ for. I’m proud of that,” he told us at the Fostering a Legacy benefit Saturday evening in East Hampton for singer Ne-Yo’s Compound Foundation, which supports kids in foster care. Lucas, who has three adopted children, was honored at the benefit for his positive impact on young adults. The movie, which took Lucas more than 20 years to bring to theaters and was produced with $58 million of his own money, raked in $50 million at theaters, surpassing Hollywood’s expectations. “We didn’t get to a point when they said, ‘Oh let’s just do black movies.’ But every time you poke ’em, it makes an effect.” said Lucas, who attended the benefit with girlfriend Mellody Hobson. The director announced his retirement earlier this year to focus on making smaller “hobby films,” but told us it will also leave more time for Hobson. Awww, how sweet. Are y’all feelin them as a couple? Source

It looks like Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood , Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout will be calling it a career after the upcoming fourth season of Teen Mom. MTV confirmed this in a statement Friday. If there’s any confusion this means the fourth and final season for just the cast members mentioned above. Teen Mom 2, featuring Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry just aired its second season and may still receive a third on MTV. Meanwhile, there will be a Teen Mom 3, with the cast selected from members of the all-new 16 & Pregnant cast … everybody clear on all this now? “Season 4 will be the final season of Teen Mom with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah,” MTV tells Us . “They will continue to be a part of our MTV family.” “We’re thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention.” There’s no specific date set for Season Four’s premiere. Sad to see the original stars retire? Amber Portwood’s police run-ins should keep her in the news, but will we ever hear from Maci, Farrah and Cate again?

Chaz Bono: "Regular Guy" Making "Positive Impact"

Chaz Bono believes his controversial stint on Dancing with the Stars will be good for America due of its “positive impact on kids with gender dysphoria.” He said, “When I was growing up, if I would have seen someone like me on a show like this, it would have made all the difference in the world.” Bono told Good Morning America that it’s “crazy” people are boycotting the show and that despite all he’s gone through, he’s just “a regular guy.” Meanwhile, attorney Gloria Allred and lesbian rights activists will hold (what else) a news conference today to protest Dr. Keith Ablow and others decrying Bono. There will be dance and viewing parties across the U.S. for DWTS ‘ September 19 season premiere, and Gloria encouraged everyone to openly support Chaz. Allred says she’ll be personally doing her part in that mission, offering to “dance with every transgender person ” who shows up at the L.A. party. Who could pass up that offer? [Photo: WENN.com]

Photo: GM A Significant Drop Predicted It’s all about supply and demand: According to Hideo Takeshita, an analyst at the Institute of Information Technology Ltd. in Tokyo, the price of lithium-ion batteries could drop by about 19% in 2010, while another analyst, Shiro Mikoshiba of Nomura Holdings, said that the worsening oversupply may push prices down as much as 25%. While it’s always important to take market predictions with a grain of salt, if lithium-ion battery prices drop by anywhere near 1/5th, it’s going to have a positive impact on the
