Big Brother Recap: Taking Shots

The veto meetings have long been a hilarious part of Big Brother. Emotions are heightened at the veto meetings because whatever is said during the gathering can dictate someone’s place in the game.  Through two veto meetings, we have had some of the most explosive confrontations yet, and it’s pretty darn exciting for us at home to watch.  When the episode got underway, Josh and Alex were on the block, and Cody confided in Jessica about Paul’s plan. They seemed to think Christmas and Paul were bullies.  Being an avid fan of the live feeds, all I’ve seen over the course of the summer is Jessica and Cody causing drama and thinking they are big competitors.  It’s true, they are just not good players, and they think that everyone else is bullying them. That says it all.  Anyway.  We finally got to find out what curse Christmas sent to Jason, Cody, and Jessica, and it was fantastic. They had to wear toad costumes for a whole week.  Jessica noted in the Diary Room that she was sure it was Christmas who unleashed the curse, but there was never really any question about it.  All the other houseguests could do was laugh at the players looking like fools.  Jessica and Cody knew they were toast if neither of them got to play in the veto and their worst fears came true when Elena and Matt were picked to play.  Jessica revealed that her only hope was that Ramses would win and take himself off because it would leave the nominations the same.  Paul and his team quickly locked on to Ramses and persisted with him to throw the competition, but Ramses made poor excuses and said he did not know what he would do.  In the end, he agreed to it, but when it came to the competition, he managed to come in second place. That immediately put him on the outs with Paul and his allies.  Thankfully, Paul eked out a win, and it gave him the power to change one of the nominations. As expected, Cody made his way to the block.  Josh, however, decided to self-destruct once again and called out both Jessica and Cody about the way they have played the game.  It was a classless move, but it was something Jessica and Cody would do, so I was all for it. Now, the final nominations are set.  Will it be Ramses, Alex or Cody sitting next to Julie tonight? Hit the comments below! View Slideshow: Big Brother Season 19: Cast Revealed!

Big Brother Recap: Who Betrayed Three Houseguests?

At the beginning of the season, the best course of action inside the Big Brother house is to lay low and not create any waves.  Unfortunately, Josh did not think like that and opted to betray several houseguests, proving he’s untrustworthy. For viewers, it was evident he could not get to grips with the pressure cooker that is Big Brother.  The paranoia was getting to him, and it was pretty sad to watch him self-destruct on the screen like that. Here’s the thing: Cody would have likely welcomed him into his alliance, but now he knows better than to trust him.  At the Head of Household competition, former winner, Nicole Franzel returned to host, and everyone was freaking out about it. Well, everyone aside from Kevin who played dumb and implied he did not know she was.  The competition found the houseguests in teams of four, swinging across ropes to garner apples for their respective teams. Nicole revealed that there was an apple for safety for the sole houseguest who decided to take it.  Josh was the person who decided to screw up his team members, and it resulted in an unexpected feud between him and Megan. The funny thing about all of it was that Megan was not even on his team.  So, while he was on the outs with the rest of his team, he tried to throw the target Megan’s way and revealed that she said they should get a strong man out of the house.  For what it’s worth, Megan is right, but she should not have said that in earshot of the other houseguests. She was called out in front of the house twice, and she teared up about it.  The HOH competition came down to Paul and Cody. Both men agreed to keep the other safe. As expected, Cody emerged with the win and quickly revealed to viewers he was not planning on staying loyal to Paul.  His reasons seemed to stem from his first class social game, and he genuinely has a point. Cody quickly rallied up a team that included Mark and Matt. That meant they were going the predictable route of having an all-male first alliance in the house.  Megan already figured a male alliance was beginning to form, thus, making the target around her bigger. She failed to change things up when she spoke to Cody about his plans.  Cody is making mistakes already. He is not associating with anyone aside from his alliance members, and that’s going to be problematic when someone outside his alliance winds up in power.  Aside from that, the other small alliance seems to be falling apart. With Megan and Jillian placed on the block, the chances of both of them escaping it seem unlikely.  Their only saving grace will be if Cody decides to throw Paul up on the block if the opportunity arises. Things are getting interesting, but there are just too many people in the house to get a good read on people.  What do you think of it all so far? Sound off below! Big Brother Shocker: Who Quit the Game?

Getting caught in a bunch of lies is never a good look… … and for one Big Brother Season 19 houseguest, it paved the way for them to take the honor of becoming the first person to self-evict in the history of the series.  The unlucky candidate is 28-year-old Megan Lowder, and we are very shocked to hear this. If you’ve been keeping up to date with the latest season of the CBS spectacular, you will know that Megan has been a strong competitor.  She planned on using her interrogator past to her advantage in order to deceive her fellow houseguests and eke out a victory when it came to winning the game.  On paper, she sounded like a perfect candidate for the series, but it was just not meant to be. On last night’s episode of the series, Megan was called out by Josh for making a pact to take out some of the stronger men quickly. This immediately painted a target on her back, and she wound up in the block next to her friend Jillian.  The live feeds launched last night, and viewers quickly noticed Megan was no longer in the game. Based on what the houseguests were saying last night, it sounds like Megan was lying to everyone to secure her safety.  Unfortunately for her, she was caught in all of her lies and decided she was done with the game. There is also word that she got in a huge fight with Jessica.  She apparently called the VIP concierge a whore. That’s not a good way to start the game, so it’s not all that surprising she would depart if that’s how toxic things were getting in the house.  With Megan’s departure, it meant that someone else had to go on the block. That person was Alex, meaning Ramses will likely lose two out of four of his alliance members in week one.  That does not bode well for his fate in the game, but with the Den of Temptation twist about to hit the house, anything can happen.  As always, we will keep you up to speed with the latest Big Brother spoilers.  What do you think of Megan’s departure? 27 Scandals That Rocked Reality TV

Just when you think it can't get any worse than Kenya Moore going off on Porsha Williams, along comes Juan Pablo Galavis. And then just when you think the lowest rung of the reality TV ladder has been reached due to the outright racism of the Big Brother 15 cast, along comes Teresa Giudice actually going to jail due to financial fraud. And then just when you're willing to write these examples off as exceptions and embrace reality television again, along comes Josh Duggar confessing to sexual molestation and… well… … it doesn't get any more grotesque than that. Here is a look at 27 scandals that have absolutely rocked the world of reality television. 1. Josh Duggar Admits to Sexual Molestation That title says it all, doesn’t it? In the spring of 2015, Josh Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting fame apologized for molesting multiple young girls when he was a teenager. 2. TLC Cancels Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Give the network credit. It pulled the plug as soon as rumors spread of June Shannon dating her daughter’s former molester. EWWWWW! 3. Big Brother 15 Just the entire season, really. These homophobic and racist cast members caused us to lose faith in pretty much all of humanity. 4. Everyone Hates Juan Pablo Galavis Juan Pablo Galavis was asked about a potentially gay Bachelor and responded: “I respect [gay people], but I honestly don’t think it is a good example for kids to watch that on TV.” He then went out and sounded like an even bigger moron during the actual season. 5. Duck Dynasty Debate Phil Robertson also got in trouble for making homophobic remarks to GQ. He then issued a statement that read: “My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and mean are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me.” 6. Jon and Kate Plus HATE Jon and Kate Plus 8 was once a beloved show on TLC. Until it was revealed that Jon and Kate actually hated each other and were kind of terrible people. View Slideshow

Big Brother Winners: RANKED!

Nineteen.  It's hard to imagine there have been nineteen winners in the history of Big Brother.  Whether they won competitions, floated along or manipulated their way to the finish line, all of the house guests below have won $500,000 as a result of coming out on top of this show.  But who was the BEST winner and why? Let's count them down! 19. Adam Jasinski Adam was a decent player, but he was part of the Winter edition of the series that was only on the air because of the 2007 Writer’s Strike. With bizarre changes to the format, it was the worst edition of the series. After winning the $500,000, Adam thought it was a good idea to use the money to fund his one drug ring. Yes, he’s the worst. 18. Lisa Donahue Lisa Donahue made some bold moves during her time in the house, but there’s no denying that Danielle Reyes played the better game. Danielle never won because the jury was bitter as hell because she got them all out. Lisa’s win paved the way for a rule change that meant the jurors were sequestered. 17. Steve Moses Steve was a genuinely nice person in the house, but his strategy did not match up to Vanessa Rousso’s. She had more competition wins, and manipulated everyone in the house. Steve pretty much coasted to the end, but because Vanessa was evicted at the final hurdle, he was in the final two with a less deserving winner. 16. Jordan Lloyd Jordan Lloyd only won because she was the nicer of the two at the end. She took Natalie Martinez. Jordan had a higher competition win, but Natalie was a solid strategist who fought for her survival every week. Unfortunately, Jordan didn’t really start playing the game until she returned for Big Brother 13. 15. Eddie McGee Eddie won Big Brother when it was a completely different show. He was a deserving winner of the initial iteration of the series. There was no strategy at that point, but he was a likable guy. 14. Maggie Ausburn Maggie Ausburn was part of the infamous “The Friendship” alliance. Some argued that she was protected throughout her time in the house. Others would say that she knew when to cause a scene. With just one HOH win, she is one of few winners who managed to float to the end with little wins. View Slideshow

Katie Holmes: Not Allowed To Date Until 2017!

Tom Cruise made sure that Katie Holmes was still under his control when they ironed out divorce details in 2012. The couple, who started a romance that no one believed was real in 2005, decided that faking their marriage was really exhausting and therefore decided to divorce. “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” Holmes’s attorney Jonathan Wolfe told People in June 2012. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.” Meanwhile, Cruise’s rep told the publication that “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. “Please allow them their privacy.” Since Cruise made more money, he was able to put certain restrictions on Holmes even after their marriage was officially over by making her sign a contract. That contract, according to Radar Online , stated that Holmes would get $5 million for doing as Cruise said. “Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms — and got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself,” a source told Radar. “Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce.” Cruise isn’t a total monster, though.  He stated that Holmes can date, but it has to be in secrecy. “She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri,” the source said. View Slideshow: 12 Celebrity Relationships We’re Pretty Sure are Fake This has made things challenging for Holmes and her boyfriend, Jamie Foxx. It’s the worst kept secret in Hollywood that Foxx and Holmes are together (they’ve been dating since 2013), but Holmes will lose out on $5 million if she takes her relationship with Fox public. The two were almost exposed last month when Holmes watched Foxx perform with Barbra Streisand in New York, and then joined him in his dressing room. “They figured it wasn’t a violation of the public rule because security prevented photos. They were so discreet,” the source said. As for Cruise, it’s said that he’s not keeping tabs on his ex, but being reunited with his money wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. “At this point, Tom doesn’t care much what Katie does,” the source added. “But he wouldn’t mind getting his $5 million back!” What makes this story even more depressing is that Cruise has reportedly not seen his daughter, Suri  in three years .   There has been “no communication at all,” according to the tabloids, and any talk of Cruise fighting for more custody of Suri is fale.
