Source: Prince Williams / Getty Shannade Clermont , one of the famed Clermont Twins who was also a star on the reality television show, Bad Girls Club , has pled guilty to wire fraud. The 24-year-old Clermont entered the plea Thursday in Manhattan federal court. She stood accused of stealing debit card information from a man who died shortly after a “prostitution date” with the former reality star. Clermont told U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald that she knew she was committing a crime when she used the man’s stolen debit cards to make purchases on the internet for clothes and other items. Spectators inside the courtroom included family members of the man she visited in January 2017. He was found dead of a drug overdose in his Manhattan apartment the next morning. The reality star and her sister have been featured in numerous publications and fashion shoots, including one for Kanye West ‘s Yeezy Season line. If you ask Sabrina Greenlee if she’s ever seen her son catch those ridiculous passes on Sundays in the NFL, she will tell you she hasn’t. She’s in the stands every Sunday but Greenlee has never watched her son, NFL All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins catch a single NFL pass. That’s because a vicious attack when Hopkins was a child left his mother blind. The abuse began in her childhood. “By the time I was 17, I had been put into the hospital three times. I remember attempting to take my senior pics at 18, and it didn’t happen because I had two black eyes and broken collarbone that day,” Greenlee told KHOU . She had married and divorced her first abuser and had three more abusive relationships and four children after. When Hopkins was 12, the “other woman” threw a mixture of bleach and lye into his mother’s eyes in 2002. “Within seconds, I realize my skin is coming off my face, my neck my back,” Greenlee said. “I was in a coma for 15 to 16 days. Totally blind when I woke up. Of course, that was terrifying.” It became a point of adjustment for Greenlee and despite her blindness, she became involved in her children’s lives, putting them all through college. With DeAndre, she’s become a vocal proponent of domestic violence awareness. Hopkins made a startling revelation to a group of HISD kids last year when he told them the startling truth: his mother had never seen him play football or basketball since he was 12. T he family of the Black man who was killed by a police officer in his own Dallas apartment last month still has plans to sue the city, according to a new report. Botham Jean ’s family announced their intentions earlier this month to sue Dallas for civil rights violations, but the lawsuit was seemingly in limbo last week after Jean’s mother said some questions she had were being answered by officials. Lawyers representing the family revealed details of the pending lawsuit on Monday, showing exactly what Jean’s parents were hoping to accomplish with it. “Jean’s parents say they want their lawsuit to not just focus on how their son died, but to change how police officers are trained about when to fire their weapons,” the Dallas Morning News reported Monday afternoon. Johnson, who was appointed DA nearly two years ago, was running to be elected to the post next month and has at times seemed more concerned with her campaign than Jean’s killing. “The Jeans also fault [Dallas Police Chief U. Reneé] Hall for turning over the case to the Rangers and say Dallas police should have kept investigating,” Dallas Morning News also reported. “Hall has said she turned over the case in an effort to be more transparent.” However, Hall, at one point in the weeks after the shooting, told reporters that she was “prohibited” from firing Amber Guyger , the officer who killed Jean. Less than a week later, Guyger was fired. There’s also the issue of the criminal charge Guyger was facing. She was charged with manslaughter , but that could be changed to murder depending on what a grand jury decides. However, it was unclear when, or if, a grand jury would ever convene. It’s been nearly seven weeks since Guyger entered Jean’s apartment and killed him on Sept. 6, implausibly confusing her rental unit for his and purportedly suspecting he was an intruder in her home. Local law enforcement has been accused of helping Guyger coverup her crime , allowing her to avoid criminal charges and remain free nearly three days following the shooting before she turned herself in and was arrested. She was finally fired nearly three weeks after she killed Jean. Her toxicology report has also not been released even though she reportedly submitted to a test the night of the shooting. The horror film also had another accolade it was also the second-best showing of all time for the month of October, trailing right behind the record of $80 million, set by Venom earlier in the month. The movie also did well overseas making $14.3 million across 23 markets. Staying at strong two was “A Star Is Born” starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. This film has been number 2 for three straight weeks and it now stands at $126 million. Breaking News–Police responding to a shooting in Friendship Heights at WTTG Fox 5 DC. An on duty security guard was said to have shot a suspected intruder. Police responded to the call around 3:15 pm today. There is no word on what the intruders intentions were or why he was trying to break in. Police have confirmed that the intruder survived and was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. This is a developing incident and we will update as more information has gathered.
