His mother, Cleopatra Bernard accepted the award on his behalf. “I’m so nervous, you guys,” Bernard admitted upon reaching the stage. “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of my son.I would like to thank the AMAs, his fans, and to everyone who made this possible. Thank you guys so much, I appreciate it.” She then left the stage visibly choked up by the moment. Monique Greene and Nelly filed paperwork earlier this week agreeing to toss the civil rape case, which accused Nelly of luring her to his tour bus and attacking her following a concert at a Seattle nightclub in late 2017. Each side will pay their own legal fees, but it was unclear Thursday whether a financial settlement was in play. The case was acrimonious from the get-go, with Greene, 21, accusing Nelly, 43, of smearing her reputation before she even filed the suit with lies about her character. Nelly meanwhile insisted that their encounter was consensual and accused Greene of trying to inflame public opinion against him with her claims in court documents. We’ve reached out to lawyers for both Nelly and Greene for comment.
After Hurricane Florence devastated the Carolinas over the weekend, NBA legend Michael Jordan explained why he felt it was necessary for him to donate $2 million to relief efforts. “You gotta take care of home,” he told the Charlotte Observer . “You don’t want to see any of that anywhere, but when it’s home, that’s tough to swallow.” Jordan, who grew up in Wilmington, NC as a child before moving on to play at North Carolina and later the NBA said that the heavy rains in both North and South Carolina brought back some memories. Kept thinking about all those places I grew up going to,” Jordan said. “And the deaths – it was so sad about the babies. You don’t want to see any of that anywhere, but when it’s home, that’s tough to swallow.” Jordan’s donation comes in two parts, first a donation of $1 million to the American Red Cross and a donation of $1 million to the Foundation for the Carolinas Florence Response Fund. The Charlotte Hornets, the team where Jordan is the owner have also launched relief efforts and are set to be packing thousands of disaster food boxes for those affected. Jordan hopes that the dual donation will show both the short and long-term impact that Hurricane Florence will have on the region. “People need to understand this will not be a week-long process. This is going to have a huge disruption on people’s lives – not for 10 days, but for years,” Jordan said. TMZ is reporting that the “Look At Me” rapper was shot in Florida while motorcycle shopping. Eyewitnesses to the shooting reported that he had no pulse but so far that’s unconfirmed. XXXtenacion real name Jahseh Onfroy is 20-years-old. BOSSIP has sources on the scene in Deerfield Beach, Florida where the shooting took place. ****Update**** The Broward County sheriff’s department has confirmed that XXXTentacion has been pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.

Poker players definitely like the challenge of playing people instead of machines. Plan for the games – The best way to enjoy a night of gambling is to plan for it financially. Make a date and set aside money that you are willing to play with and lose. Remember that the odds are mostly against you and you should be ready to let the money go if it comes down to it. Plan how much you are willing to play with and stick to it. This will ensure that you don’t end the night with regret and worry. You can walk away knowing you had fun and that you didn’t lose anything you weren’t willing to let go. If you play for the right reasons, have some support and don’t lose money unnecessarily, you will thoroughly enjoy your gaming experiences. Savenok/Getty Images for Spotify) Troubled Rapper Fighting For His Freedom After Drug & Gun Bust At NJ Airport After nearly a month in federal lockup, Juelz Santana is finally a free man. A New Jersey federal court judge agreed to release Juelz on $500,000 bond after his mother put up her northern New Jersey house, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office told BOSSIP. Although he’s no longer in federal jail, Juelz – whose real name is Laron James – has to adhere to a slew of strict conditions or risk going back behind bars. The “There It Go” rapper is essentially on house arrest. He’s under “24 hour home confinement” and can only leave his mom’s place to go to the doctor or to attend court. Under no circumstances can he record music at his studio or perform at shows, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office told BOSSIP. It was not clear Friday when he would be released. As of 4 p.m. he was still in custody. Juelz has been locked up since last month after TSA agents found a loaded .38 caliber pistol and eight oxycodone pills in his carry on luggage. Tyrone Hankerson Said He’s A Victim In This Case – And His Record Will Speak For Itself One of the Howard University employees accused of a massive embezzlement scheme has fired back at the anonymous claims, saying he’s innocent and has been victimized himself. An article published on Medium this week claimed that Howard University staff stole some $1 million in financial aid earmarked for students from 2013 through 2017. The article states that the HBCU’s president, Wayne Frederick, knew about the fraud since at least May 2017, but had not acted. The article specifically names Tyrone Hankerson, who was then a student employee, as well as Associate Director of Financial Aid, Brian Johnson, alleging the men both received unusually large grants and stipends from the school. The piece has since been taken down. But Hankerson said in a statement to BOSSIP exclusively that the article and the info that was cherry picked from his confidential records doesn’t paint the whole picture, and he’s the one who has been wronged. Hankerson said he did receive financial aid from the university, but it was nothing unusual for a student on a scholarship who also went abroad to continue his education. Hankerson said he never authorized the release of his records to anyone, and his legal team is working with the university to find out who leaked his data.
