Jesus Take The Duct Tape: Lamar Odom Allegedly Kidnapped Over Gambling Debts, Manager Denies Rumor

Image via Christopher Polk/Getty Images Lamar Odom Allegedly Kidnapped Over Gambling Debt, Denies Rumor Lamar Odom has lived an incredibly traumatic life and it doesn’t appear that it has gotten much easier over the years. According to a report on RadarOnline , Odom was allegedly kidnapped by bookies who wanted the money that he owed. However it wasn’t just Lamar who was said to be taken, the men also held his girlfriend, Savanna Waldrop, and her 2-year-old daughter at gunpoint. The story goes that Lamar went to Portland, Oregon to visit Waldrop and told her he wanted to gamble but he needed a loan. Waldrop is said to have gotten $10,000 from local bookies and Lamar lost the money at the casino within 20 minutes of receiving the cash. Almost immediately, the bookies began to harass Lamar, following them to his hotel waited for him in the parking lot. Eventually the men are alleged to have kicked in the hotel room door and held Lamar, Waldrop and the daughter at gunpoint before taking him for ransom until he paid. The Radar report states that Odom was taken for two days and essentially “hung out” with his kidnappers, they even took him to a nightclub. After pawning a gold chain for $1,000, getting $1,500 from Waldrop and another $2,800 from his team, Lamar was released but still owes the men $5,000. All that said, Lamar’s manager and publicist both deny that any of this happened to EOnline : “The kidnapping is false, it’s a lie, it’s made up,” Odom’s manager Zoul El Fassi tells E! News. “He does know her. He’s not going to deny that but she was just a girl he used to party with.” Says publicist Eve Sarkisyan-Nunn: “We are aware of the false story circulating around regarding Lamar. We are not denying that Lamar does know this woman, however she was merely an acquaintance.” Here’s what the man himself has to say via Twitter: What do YOU believe?

Casino Claims Charles Oakley Cheated Three Times Before Arrest

Fortunately, he won’t see a day in jail as his attorneys were able to cut a deal in which the felony charge was dropped to a misdemeanor and as well as a punishment in the form of a $1,000 fine. According to TMZ: “Mr. Oakley has pled no contest to the simple misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct which fully resolves this situation,” Oakley’s attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, said in a statement.  “He appreciates the professionalism of the District Attorney and the Cosmopolitan in resolving this event.” Hopefully this is the last time Charles Oakley finds himself in cuffs for these kinds of shenanigans. A few weeks ago Charles Oakley was arrested at a Las Vegas casino for trying to pull a fast one while gambling. Though specifics about how Oakley cheated has been scarce, TMZ reported that the former NBA All-Star was busted for cheating not once, not twice, but three times during a game of Ultimate Texas Hold’Em (sounds like an app). OnJuly 8th Oakley was arrested at the Cosmopolitan Hotel for the offenses he allegedly committed and court documents detail just how it all went down. Oakley was playing the Ultimate Texas Hold’Em table game — where both player and dealer get 2 cards, in addition to a community 5-card draw.  Of the 7 cards in play, the dealer and player use their best 5 cards to see who has the best hand.  During the first hand, Oakley started off strong … with a pair of 4s. But, the dealer ended up with a winning hand … 2 pair. When Oakley realized he was gonna lose, he allegedly pulled back a $100 chip from his bet.  Later on during the gambling session, Oakley had a monster hand — 3 of a kind — and this time, officials say he secretly ADDED chips to his bet on 2 different occasions during the hand, thereby increasing his payout by $125.  Officials say it was all captured on casino surveillance — and he was arrested on the spot.  What cha doin,’ Oak?! We’ve all seen Casino and we know how many eyes are in the sky. Come on, bruh! He lucky Robert Dinero wasn’t in charge up in there. The former New York Knick tried to claim “ignorance” stating that he had been playing the game for close to 119 hours, but they weren’t buying that for a single chip. Originally Oak was charged with a felony and faced up to 6 years in the bing, but since the charge has been reduced to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct and he’ll likely get off with a slap on the wrist. ‘Bout the only slap anyone can get away with putting on Oak.

5 Reasons Why You Should Avoid Gambling

Some people have no problem with gambling responsibly and just enjoying the games and the social aspect of it all. However, some people find it difficult to draw the line and stop when they need to. It may be difficult at first to understand whether you are someone who may be at risk or not. With our reasons to avoid gambling you should be able to identify whether you may be predisposed or run the risk of making gambling something more than just a fun activity now and then. Avoid gambling if you are in desperate need of money. People who desperately need money may feel the urge to try gambling to win a quick buck. This is very dangerous as the odds are generally against you winning at the gambling. Gambling should not be a last resort for getting money. The chances of you losing the little money that you have are bigger than the chance of you winning anything. Avoid gambling if you have a tendency to get obsessed with money. If you are obsessed with money and always getting more, gambling may be dangerous for you. People who develop a gambling problem generally don’t know when to stop. After they have a win they believe that there will be another. It becomes a vicious cycle. If you know that you are likely going to keep trying to win more, avoid gambling. Avoid gambling if you have a predisposition or tendency for addictive behavior . If you already have an addiction or problem behavior like alcoholism, drug addiction, etc. you should also steer clear of gambling. Not only may it make your problems worse by losing money, but you may also develop a gambling problem. It may be difficult to understand this when you are already experiencing a problem. This is where friends and family can help. Avoid gambling if you don’t have money to lose. If you don’t have money to play and lose, don’t gamble. Like we said before, the house always wins. This means that your chances of winning any money is several times lower than the chances of you losing everything you put in. Gambling is not a good way to make money when you don’t have any. Play responsibly or don’t play at all. Avoid gambling if you know nothing about it. No matter who you ask, everyone who knows something about gambling will tell you to learn about it before actually doing it. This does not mean that you should study up everything about gambling for a night of fun. It simply means that you should read a bit on the games you want to play and understand the rules and the odds. It always helps to be prepared going in rather than being thrown because you didn’t know what to expect. People who can identify with any of these reasons, should steer clear of gambling. Gambling can be a lot of fun and very entertaining but you must have the right state of mind. You must know and accept the risks and be able to call it quits without a problem. If you see any of these things in yourself, do the responsible thing and don’t get yourself into trouble.
