Here’s a bit of Magic City casting news that should have you pulling a magic wand out of your pants- Sherilyn Fenn will be a regular on the show’s second season. The nudity strewn gangster drama has been a constant source of skinspiration since its bush baring opening credits first rolled, and it seems like the perfect place for Ms. Fenn to break her 17-year nudity dry spell. After starting her showbiz career as a Playboy Club bunny, Sherilyn took a starmaking turn in the wooded weirdness of Twin Peaks . Her topless debut came in the 80’s horror flick The Wraith (1986), and soon after she went full frontal for the country fried romance Two Moon Junction (1988). Now 20 years after she infiltrated the Twin Peaks brothel, One-Eyed Jack’s, she’s heading back to the cat house as a former call-girl who now runs her own brothel in the second season of Magic City . Sherilyn will play Madame Renee, an ally and confidant of her main investor, Ben Diamond ( Danny Huston ). Here at Skin Central we’d be willing to pay any price for another look at those fantastic Fenn funbags. Magic City’s second season debuts in 2013, and we have only the highest of hopes for the TITanic twin peaks on Sherilyn’s chest. Turns out that giving her baby five different names may not be the most unconventional thing Uma Thurman ‘s done lately. Uma has joined the cast of Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac , which you may recall as ” the movie with all the famous people boning each other .” Billed as a “pornographic drama”, Nymphomaniac stars longtime Von Trier collaborator Charlotte Gainsbourg as the titular sex maniac in a setup straight out of a ’70s Euro-porn: “One night, an old bachelor, played by Stellan Skarsgard, finds her in an alley, badly beaten. He takes her home to nurse her back to health, while she recounts to him her life of erotic adventure.” Uma’s role in the film is as yet unclear, but she’s no stranger to erotic drama thanks to her role in the NC-17 drama Henry & June (1990), where she indulged in a little lesbian exploration with Maria de Medeiros . It’s been a while since we’ve seen Uma uncovered on the big screen, so here’s hoping she gives us something to spank the anatomy to come next year. Amy Adams has signed on to play a con artist’s mistress in American Bullshit , the new movie by Spanking the Monkey (1994) and Flirting with Disaster (1996) director David O. Russell . Amy was nominated for an Oscar for her role in The Fighter (2010), so it’s not really a surprise that she wants to work with Russell again. What is surprising is that title. In casting news, Tom Cruise is reportedly in negotiations with Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions to star in this fall’s One Shot , an adaptation of Lee Child’s thriller series. Cruise will play Jack Reacher, who is described in the books as a 6’5, 250 pound military policeman-turned-drifter. If all goes as planned, the film will shoot in Pittsburgh before Cruise begins production on the big budget sci-fi film Oblivion . The Usual Suspects scribe Christopher McQuarrie is set to direct.
