Teen Mom has a lot of drama. Just so, so much drama. On the show, we see breakups, fights, custody battles, abuse accusations, arrests, serious health struggles … it's a lot. But the one thing we can always count on is that there are some cute kids on the show. And just a couple of days ago, Catelynn and Tyler added one more kid to the crew! 1. A Cause for Celebration! She’s here, everybody! Catelynn and Tyler’s little bitty baby girl is here! 2. Bittersweet? It’s still kind of a weird situation, considering that they were separated not too long ago. 3. A Long Story A whole lot of stuff happened. You remember. 4. Recap! But just in case you need a refresher, the last time Catelynn was pregnant was in the fall of 2017. She had a miscarriage, she became suicidal after, and she spent six weeks in rehab, came home for a bit, then went back for six more weeks. 5. The Struggle Tyler was very supportive at first, but the rehab was all the way in Arizona, and the second time she wanted to go, he had a hard time understanding why she couldn’t just do therapy at home. 6. Uh Oh And when she went back anyway and started telling about how she was skipping the actual treatment stuff to stay up late and watch movies in her room … well, that was a tough pill for him to swallow. It's been almost a decade since 16 and Pregnant debuted to harsh criticism and stellar ratings. In the years since, the show has taken on a life of its own, making stars of its original cast members and spawning numerous spinoffs. There have been a lot of surprises along the way — who would have thought the ladies of Teen Mom 2 would prove to be a bigger hit than the OGs? — but the biggest surprise of all is how popular the franchise remains. So take a trip down Teen Mom memory lane with this rundown of every spinoff launched by 16 and Pregnant . It's quite a list: 1. 16 and Pregnant It all started with 16 and Pregnant, which made its debut on MTV way back in June of 2009. 2. Moving Up to the Majors Unfortunately, most of the girls featured on 16 and Pregnant did not go on to Teen Mom fame. Some were never re-cast, while others — such as Mackenzie McKee — starred on spinoffs that didn’t last. 3. Cause For Optimism? The casting of Briana DeJesus on Teen Mom 2 offered some hope to former 16 and Pregnant stars, and no doubt many were optimistic that they too would get the call from MTV. 4. Hopes Dashed Unfortunately, the last time producers had a vacancy to fill, they went outside the franchise, adding Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd. 5. Teen Mom OG Of course, many fans of the franchise were upset by the fact that Bristol and Cheyenne did not meet the core criteria of the show in that they were not “original girls” featured in the first season of 16 and Pregnant. 6. OG OGs Amber Portwood, Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, and Catelynn Lowell were the first stars of the show that started out as Teen Mom and became Teen Mom OG. View Slideshow
There's been a whole mess of brand new Teen Mom babies lately, huh? Chelsea Houska has her precious baby daughter, and Amber Portwood has her darling son. As for the dads of the show, Javi Marroquin and Ryan Edwards both became fathers again recently. In a couple of months, the franchise will welcome another cast member when Catelynn Lowell gives birth. And since the moms are getting older and getting into stable relationships and marriages, the likelihood of more babies coming into the picture are only increasing. So is Briana DeJesus going to be the next cast member to announce a pregnancy?! 1. The Happy Couple! So this is Briana with her boyfriend, Johnny Rodriguez. Cute, right? 2. Keeping It Quiet Briana’s been pretty private about this relationship so far, but we do know a few things. 3. Long Distance Johnny lives in New York, and since Briana is still in Florida, they’re long distance. She’s said that they take turns traveling to see each other. 4. Going Strong This has been happening at least since September — that’s when she first posted about him on social media. 5. No Drama Johnny doesn’t have any children of his own, so there’s no risk of going through the kind of drama that ran rampant when she dated Javi Marroquin. 6. Seriously And let’s be real, Briana deserves a drama-free relationship. View Slideshow
Things have been kind of weird for Teen Mom lately, huh? And by “kind of weird,” we mean 100% bananas. During the last season, a whole, whole lot of changes were made to our beloved Teen Mom OG. Since Farrah Abraham was out, they replaced her with Cheyenne Floyd , a girl from other MTV reality shows who had never been a teen mother. She had her first and only child at 24, so … that was a choice. Then, just for fun, they threw in Bristol Palin as a fifth cast member. Ryan Edwards was cut from the show , and since he was part of Maci’s story, they didn’t need to hire someone else to take his place. But he and Mackenzie Standifer did provide a huge amount of drama, so his absence was definitely noticeable. In addition to all of this, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra went from being some of the most beloved cast members to some of the most despised. And oh, what a ride that was. As we all know so well by now, Catelynn had a miscarriage in late 2017, and she began having suicidal thoughts afterwards. She decided to check into a treatment center in Arizona for six weeks to deal with everything, and Tyler fully supported her. So did the vast majority of Teen Mom viewers. But then, just a couple of weeks after coming home, she decided to go back for another six weeks. She didn’t want to consider doing therapy while staying at home, or even checking in for some inpatient treatment in their home state of Michigan. Tyler told her that he was struggling holding everything down without her, and it was clear that their daughter, Nova, was also struggling with her mom being gone for so long. She left for Arizona again anyway. That’s really when the tides began to turn. Later, we saw Tyler tell his mother that Cate had told him that she’d been skipping therapy sessions to sleep in after staying up late to watch movies, which was odd, considering how hard she’d insisted she needed the therapy. He admitted that he was losing empathy for her, and pretty much everyone watching at home was like “Yeah, same.” When she got home from that stay in rehab, she didn’t seem too interested in helping Tyler deal with his issues — issues he’d been having from dealing with his addict sister, his addict father, the miscarriage, his own traumatic upbringing … It was bad. For a while, she refused to go to therapy with him, and he grew more and more exasperated with her. Then she got pregnant . The pregnancy didn’t fix their relationship, and they ended up going through a trial separation . Now they’re back together and gearing up to welcome their baby, a daughter they’ll name Tezlee who is due in March. But still, people are not happy with her. And they just got straight up vicious on her latest Instagram post. The post itself was pretty tame — just a Boomerang of her bath water. But in her caption, she wrote “I LOVE baths. #obsessed especially with this pregnancy I take like 2-3 baths a day.” Unfortunately, not many of her followers were impressed. “No one takes 3 baths a day while pregnant,” one person wrote. “I hope you at least take one and can clean up your filthy house. And please no more kids until you can get yourself together.” “Lol 2-3 baths,” someone else commented. “Must have a lot of times on your hands.” Another person had a similar thought, writing “Wow, how nice it must be to not have a job.” The idea of having enough time to take two or three baths a day wasn’t the only issue taken with Catelynn’s post. Several people told her that baths weren’t safe so late in pregnancy — some said the water temperature wasn’t good for the baby, others said it decreased the heart rate. Her water could break and she wouldn’t know it, the water could soften the amniotic sac … We’re sure at least some of those aren’t true, but then there’s the problem of waste. “Get a grip,” yet another outraged Teen Mom fan told her. “2-3 baths a day is so water intensive and awful for the environment, set a good example for your child.” And then, of course, there were the unnecessarily nasty comments, like the ones that read “Hopefully her new baby is taken from her” and “Yuck, does your fat ass even fit in the tub?!” Last night, she began deleting some of the negative comments, and she even responded to some, explaining that she had an awesome husband who cared for their daughter so she could take her baths. But she deleted that, too, and now she’s disabled the comments on the post altogether. View Slideshow: Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra: We’ll Go for Baby #4! Does she deserve this kind of hate?!

Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra have a lot on their plates right now. Specifically, a child due in just a few weeks. But even with a little girl very much on the way, the beloved Teen Mom couple is already thinking ahead… … to their NEXT baby? YES! Scroll down to see what Catelynn and Tyler recently said about expanding their family, beyond the expansion due to take place in early March. 1. When is Catelynn Due? On March 6, she’s confirmed. She and Tyler also know it will be another girl. 2. Another Girl?!? Yup. They gave one up for adoption several years ago and they are now parents of a four-year old named Nova. 3. This is Why They May Not Be Done After This Next Child Correction, they absolutely will not be done. 4. Right, Catelynn? “Yes, Tyler and I both want a boy, so we’re definitely gonna try again,” Catelynn said during a recent Instagram Live video stream. 5. Wow. Alright Then! And the couple won’t waste much time, either. “I think we’re just gonna go right for No. 4 right after this one’s born,” she added. “We wanna be done before we’re 30, you know?” 6. Catelynn, Of Course, Suffered a Miscarriage in Late 2017 There was a time when the long-time loves thought they’d never be able to have a child again. View Slideshow
There was a time when Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra were considered the most stable couple in the Teen Mom franchise. Sadly, those days are long gone. Yes, Cate and Tyler are still together … but barely. Lowell and Baltierra underwent a trial separation recently, and while both made it clear that they're hoping to save their marriage, it seems the process is taking a tremendous emotional toll. Take a look: 1. The Troiubled Couple Tyler and Catelynn have been enduring quite the rough patch lately — and they haven’t been shy about sharing their struggles with fans. 2. Both Struggling Tyler and Catelynn have both been diagnosed with mental disorders, and while they’re both seeking treatment, the situation has put a strain on their marriage. 3. Gone Girl? Lowell spent much of the past year in an Arizona treatment facility, and many fans accused her of abandoning her family. 4. Supportive Husband Tyler remained supportive throughout Catelynn’s many stints in rehab, happily assuming single dad responsibilities. 5. Taking a Toll However, it appears that the many ups and downs of the past year have taken a tremendous psychological toll on Tyler. 6. Scapegoat Cate Through it all, Catelynn has taken most of the blame for the couple’s problems. View Slideshow
What a year it’s been for Ryan Edwards, huh? He’s done a whole lot of things — most of them were real, real bad. He’s been arrested twice, once for violating probation by failing a drug test and once for violating probation by driving 35 MPH over the speed limit . He spent a handful of days in jail, and three whole months in rehab ! Another big thing was when Maci Bookout had to get a restraining order against him for her and her family after he threatened to murder her husband . So yeah, bad things, right? Despite all of that, there was one very big, very good moment for Ryan this year. He welcomed a brand new baby boy! Yep, in October, Mackenzie Standifer gave birth to their first child together , a boy they named Jagger Ryan Edwards. Well, she named him that, anyway — he was still in rehab at the time. Besides Jagger, they have Hudson, Mackenzie’s son from her first marriage, and of course there’s Bentley, the son Ryan shares with Maci. What a lovely little family, right? Or at least we imagine they are — Mackenzie refuses to show off her new baby on social media, or on Teen Mom OG. It makes sense, really. After all, Ryan does attract a whole lot of hate, and Mackenzie herself receives even more . They’ve been the big Teen Mom OG villains for a long time now, and though attention is beginning to shift to Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s marriage problems … Well, plenty of fans still have a whole mess of feelings about the Edwards. If Mackenzie had posted pictures of little Jagger, then unfortunately, there’s a decent chance she would have gotten negative comments about him, just because people don’t like his parents. People can be awful like that. She’s said that she’ll “probably never” show him off to the world, and honestly, it’s understandable. But luckily for us, she’s reconsidered things! Yep, today Mackenzie was kind enough to share a Christmas photo of her little family, minus Bentley: And just look at that cute little baby!!! Hudson is adorable too, as always, and Mackenzie looks phenomenal, especially for giving birth just a couple of months ago. As for Ryan, well, remember a few days ago when we heard a report about how he’s been seeming so happy and healthy these days? He certainly looks like it in this photo! His smile looks genuine, and although it looks like he couldn’t manage to spit out his dip for the Christmas card shoot, at least he doesn’t look high here. Hopefully he’s finally come around to raising a baby with Mackenzie and there won’t be any of the “call me when he’s three” talk like there was at the beginning of the pregnancy. Really, we just hope that things are as good as they possibly can be in the Edwards home. And oh, what a Christmas miracle that would be! View Slideshow: Ryan Edwards: Out of Rehab and Loving Life! (According to Mackenzie Standifer)
Remember when Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra were the cutest couple on Teen Mom? Man, what happened? Obviously lots and lots of things happened, and now they are less cute and more on the brink of divorce. And although Tyler, who has long been considered a top notch guy, says he hasn't cheated and has no desire to cheat … Well, that's getting harder and harder to buy, let's just say that. 1. Yikes Really, when it comes to these two these days, what more can you say? 2. Well … You can actually say a whole, whole lot more, so let’s go ahead and do that OK? 3. Real Talk It’s just that the relationship between Catelynn and Tyler has gotten SO BAD over the past couple of years, hasn’t it? 4. Little Babies It’s not like we’d say that they’ve ever had a super healthy thing going on or anything, but that’s not really their fault — they’ve been together since they were 12, they went through a pregnancy and an adoption when they were teens because their parents were abusive addicts who married each other. 5. Good Job, We Guess Honestly, they’ve probably done pretty well, considering the hands they were dealt in life. 6. Still … But there’s no denying that ever since Cate left home about a year ago for two separate six-week stays at a treatment center in Arizona, things have definitely gotten worse than they’ve ever been. Let no one ever accuse Catelynn Baltierra of holding anything back. The veteran Teen Mom Og star has been open and honest for years about her battle with mental health issues, along with her occasional struggle to remain happily married to husband Tyler. The couple has remained together since middle school and has welcomed two kids together (one of which was given up for adoption), yet both sides have admitted at times that it hasn't been easy. It's still not easy. Tyler made that evident on the latest episode of Teen Mom OG when he continued to push for a trial separation. He even prepared to move into a new home. How did Catelynn react to this development? What is her biggest fear? Scroll down for a look at how the Baltierras are dealing with two very different ideas of what they want from their relationship… 1. Why Must It Be This Way, Tyler? For the past couple weeks, Teen Mom OG viewers have witnessed Tyler and Catelynn struggle in their marriage, even as they express excitement over Catelynn’s pregnancy. 2. What’s the Issue Here? Tyler has been there for his wife — through A LOT. He watched as she suffered a miscarriage in early 2018 and then went to Arizona for a month because she was stuck in a dark depression for awhile as a result. 3. He’s Always Supported Catelynn, BUT… … it’s taken an emotional toll. “When does it ever turn around?” he asked some friends on an episode in November. “When is it ever 50/50?! I’m saying this is what I need, awesome. If you can’t, let me know now. I don’t want to waste any time, let me get out of here. Marriage is a bitch.” 4. And He Wants Out? On occasion, yes. Tyler has made it clear he does NOT want to sleep around and that he truly loves Catelynn. He just needs some space sometimes. 5. In a House All His Own?!? Yes. This was at the crux of the Teen Mom episode that aired on December 10, as Tyler prepared to actually move out. 6. Can We Not Make This a Big Deal? “It’s only eight minutes down the road,” Tyler emphasized on air. “We’re just living separate. It’s not like we’re dating other people and never talking to each other for 30 days. We all need personal space sometimes.” View Slideshow
