Put On Blast: Rage Against The Machine Rocker Gives Paul “Who Needs Medicare” Ryan A Ho Sit Down Over Comments About Liking Their Music, But Not Their Lyrics!

Paul Ryan thinks he’s so cool. If he’s trying to seem “in touch” with our generations and the millions of us that ain’t young Republicans, this was the wrong music choice to announce to us all because he just comes off lookin’ cray. Rage Against the Machine’s lead guitarist, Tom Morello, doesn’t appreciate the accolades either. He took to Rolling Stone to let us know how he felt about the right-winged poser and slams him for “liking” the very music that goes against everything Ryan and Money Mitt stand for. Paul Ryan’s love of Rage Against the Machine is amusing, because he is the embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades. Charles Manson loved the Beatles but didn’t understand them. Governor Chris Christie loves Bruce Springsteen but doesn’t understand him. And Paul Ryan is clueless about his favorite band, Rage Against the Machine. Ryan claims that he likes Rage’s sound, but not the lyrics. Well, I don’t care for Paul Ryan’s sound or his lyrics. He can like whatever bands he wants, but his guiding vision of shifting revenue more radically to the one percent is antithetical to the message of Rage. I wonder what Ryan’s favorite Rage song is? Is it the one where we condemn the genocide of Native Americans? The one lambasting American imperialism? Our cover of “Fuck the Police”? Or is it the one where we call on the people to seize the means of production? So many excellent choices to jam out to at Young Republican meetings! Don’t mistake me, I clearly see that Ryan has a whole lotta “rage” in him: A rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment. Basically the only thing he’s not raging against is the privileged elite he’s groveling in front of for campaign contributions. You see, the super rich must rationalize having more than they could ever spend while millions of children in the U.S. go to bed hungry every night. So, when they look themselves in the mirror, they convince themselves that “Those people are undeserving. They’re . . . lesser.” Some of these guys on the extreme right are more cynical than Paul Ryan, but he seems to really believe in this stuff. This unbridled rage against those who have the least is a cornerstone of the Romney-Ryan ticket. But Rage’s music affects people in different ways. Some tune out what the band stands for and concentrate on the moshing and throwing elbows in the pit. For others, Rage has changed their minds and their lives. Many activists around the world, including organizers of the global occupy movement, were radicalized by Rage Against the Machine and work tirelessly for a more humane and just planet. Perhaps Paul Ryan was moshing when he should have been listening. My hope is that maybe Paul Ryan is a mole. Maybe Rage did plant some sensible ideas in this extreme fringe right wing nut job. Maybe if elected, he’ll pardon Leonard Peltier. Maybe he’ll throw U.S. military support behind the Zapatistas. Maybe he’ll fill Guantanamo Bay with the corporate criminals that are funding his campaign – and then torture them with Rage music 24/7. That’s one possibility. But I’m not betting on it. This is the second time this week one of these dumb azz Republican candidates has referenced music while lookin’ like a contradictory wankster. Source Images via WENN/Twitter

Rage Against the Machine: Raging Against Paul Ryan!

Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan has cited Rage Against the Machine as one of his favorite bands in a number of interviews. According to band member Tom Morello, the admiration is far from mutual. In a blistering Rolling Stone op-ed , Morello absolutely BLASTS Mitt Romney’s VP pick as “the embodiment of the machine our music rages against.” Morello compares Ryan’s appreciation of RATM to N.J. Gov. Chris Christie’s liking for Bruce Springsteen … or Charles Manson’s love for The Beatles. Painting him as “antithetical” to progress, Morello lambasts the Congressman’s “guiding vision of shifting revenue more radically to the one percent.” He goes on to observe that Paul Ryan has plenty of “rage,” but claims it’s “A rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment.” Ouch. The Grammy-winning guitarist has a history of outspoken activism, but he’s far from alone in wanting to separate his music from the GOP ticket. Wednesday, Silversun Pickups tore into Mitt Romney for playing their hit “Panic Switch” at an event … and joked that the title symbolizes his campaign. Sorry, Mitt and Paul. Kate Winslet Likes Child Rapists of the Day

I get that Roman Polanski is a cinematic genius who was just fucked up when his wife and their unborn baby was killed by Charles Manson, so fucked up that he did the natural thing guys do when they are at their lowest, and fed a teen drugs and had sex with her, forcing him to flee the country and live in exile in Switzerland, never to return because it is not worth getting arrested for…. I also get that you can’t judge a man by his sexual dysfunction, I mean if we did, we wouldn’t have priests to talk to, elementary school teachers to teach or kids, birthday party clowns….or gays and lesbian friends. But I like to point and laugh when actors or other people are hamming it up with perverts and kissing them like they aren’t perverts because it is a political move for their careers, because the man is a genius, without realizing all the Christians back in America, who are likely perverts themselves, just oppresed properly, are going to be offended by her being so Euro and lax about sex offenders….cuz Europe remains far cooler than America on all levels…. Here are the pics of her Titanic Mom Tits in a Tight Dress

Phil Spector from Prison: ‘I’m Enraged with Hate at That Judge for Sending Me Here’

In a letter that Phil Spector — currently serving 19-years-to-life for murdering Lana Clarkson — wrote to a pen pal , and exclusively obtained by Gawker, the music legend is convinced that he is the true victim of his crime. The last we paid attention to Spector, 69, he had been un-wigged and locked up for likely the remainder of his life after Clarkson “kissed the gun” he put in her mouth one drunken night in 2003. But he still has supporters, including Sandra Horine, a 43-year-old mother of two from Alice, Texas, who has become one of his prison pen pals

#2: The Manson Family Women – 10 Truly Dangerous Women

Susan Atkins, Leslie Van Houten, and Patricia Krenwinkel giggled through their trial in 1971. In 1969, through the power of a Svengali-like influence, Charles Manson turned 5 attractive, intelligent young women into vicious criminals.

Sandra Good, Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, Susan Atkins, Leslie Van Houten, and Patricia “Katie” Krenwinkel will forever be known as the Manson Women.

“These are your children,” Manson would later say. “You threw them out and I took them in.”

Only 3 of the women participated in the Tate and LaBianca murders, but the other 2, Fromme and Good are possibly the most disturbed and the most dangerous. Atkins, Van Houten and Krenwinkel have all denounced Manson, expressed remorse for their crimes, and will possibly be behind bars for the rest of their lives. But Fromme and Good are potentially still as dangerous as ever.

Neither Fromme, nor Good have ever denounced Charles Manson. Sandra Good was imprisoned for nearly 10 years for sending death threats to corporate executives she believed were polluting the earth. But she’s been free since 1985, and before she disappeared from the media radar, she helped maintain a Web site (atwa.com, defunct since 2001) devoted to Charles Manson.

For her part, Fromme is still in prison for attempting to assassinate then-President Gerald Ford in 1975. Fromme, now 60 is scheduled to be released from prison in August, 2009.

For an idea of how frightening the Manson Women really are, see the videos from their trial. Atkins, Van Houten and Krenwinkel appear in child-like dresses and hair styles, each with an X carved in her forehead just like Manson at the time. The three sang songs and giggled during the trial. Alternately, Atkins testified at one point that when Sharon Tate begged for her life and the life of her unborn child, Atkins showed no mercy.

“Look, bitch, I don’t care a thing about you,” she said. “You’re going to die and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
