Cory Wharton SLAMS Dad-Shamers: It’s Not My Fault Ryder Got Sick!

Cory Wharton is back with his ex-girlfriend Taylor Selfridge , but that’s not the only thing that has fans angry. Trolls have been viciously dad-shaming because he happened to be on vacation when little Ryder fell seriously ill. Now, Cory is hitting back at his detractors and explaining that he did everything that he could. Cory Wharton fired off a tweet after receiving unfair backlash. “Everybody is so quick to try paint me as a bad dad,” Cory laments. “It’s not fair at all.” “Ryder got sick while I was on vacation,” he writes. “And once it got worst I booked a flight home.” “At this point,” he admits. “I can’t care about everyone one else thinks I know what type of dad I am.” “I just want Ryder to get better,” he expresses. Precious baby Ryder was born with a congenital condition known as VLCAD. Because of this condition, Ryder’s body has difficulty breaking down certain types of fats. That may sound simple, akin to lactose intolerance, but it can be serious, and can manifest in various ways throughout someone’s life. In fact, one of the childhood symptoms of VLCAD is heart problems. Last week, Ryder was hospitalized due to complications from her condition. Cory could not have known this when he booked his vacation. Us Weekly   spoke to Cory, who released a statement to elaborate upon the frustrations that he expressed in his tweet. “While I rarely respond to public criticism,” Cory begins. “I felt the need this time to speak up.” For the record, he responded to public criticism just last week when he unveiled his new girlfriend . He asked fans to let him live his life. Cory is speaking up this time “because these claims are simply ridiculous and an attack on my character.” “Anyone who has watched Teen Mom OG —  and my social media — knows how involved I am,” he points out. Cory details that he is very involved “in my daughter’s life and in co-parenting with Cheyenne.” “Ryder is my life,” Cory affirms. “And I love her so much.” “And,” he continues, he “would never do anything that would have a negative impact on her.” “Anyone who thinks anything of the opposite is an idiot,” he accuses. “And clearly doesn’t know who I am at all.” “As soon as I got back from my vacation,” Cory explains. “I raced to the side of my daughter in the hospital.” “And,” he reveals, he “was there to take her home as well.” We don’t want to get psychoanalytical on you … but we will anyway. We don’t think that these dad-shaming fans who actually follow Cory at all are genuinely angry with him over this. They know that he rushed to be by Ryder’s side as soon as he could, cutting short his vacation. What they’re mad about is that he’s not by Cheyenne Floyd’s side. Both Cheyenne and Cory have made it very clear that they are co-parents but not a couple, and that they do not intend for that to change. Cheyenne also released a statement about her daughter’s health. “Thank you to everyone who prayed, reached out, & lifted Ryder up,” Cheyenne wrote on Instagram. “We are home & she is back to running in circles,” she shared. She wrote: “Our girl is so strong & it’s incredible to me.” “National Rare Disease day is Feb. 28,” Cheyenne concluded. “Lets make an impact.” View Slideshow: Cheyenne Floyd: I Don’t Care Who Cory Wharton is Dating, Because …

Kevin Hart: I Will NEVER Host the Oscars!

Why couldn’t we leave Kevin Hart in 2018? If not the whole man, why couldn’t we just leave that awful story about him losing the Oscars hosting gig because of his many homophobic comments? It would have been so nice not to have to recount his ridiculously ignorant “jokes” in this new year, but unfortunately, here we are. So let’s push through, OK? If you missed this mess, it was announced in December that Kevin would act as the host for this year’s Academy Awards. As soon as the news was announced, lots of people went “Wait, he’s made tons of offensive comments about the LGBT community, this isn’t cool.” And it’s true — he really has said some terrible things. Like, a few years ago he tweeted “If my son comes home & try’s 2 play with my daughters doll house I’m going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice ‘stop that’s gay.'” He used to have a real big habit of tweeting things like that — he called tons of people “f-g,” used “gay” as insult, that sort of thing. Once, he told someone that he looked like a “gay bill board for AIDS.” Then, in one of his comedy specials, he said that “One of my biggest fears is my son growing up and being gay. That’s a fear.” “Keep in mind, I’m not homophobic,” he insisted. “Be happy. Do what you want to do.” “But me, as a heterosexual male, if I can prevent my son from being gay, I will.” So all of those are jokes, OK? And we’re sure he thought they were all just super hilarious. But lots of people didn’t, and when those people complained about them after he became the Oscars host, Kevin turned the blame around on them by telling them to “Stop looking for reasons to be negative.” Sure, Kevin. Sure. Shortly after he said, that, he posted a video on Instagram in which he explained that the people from the Academy had called him up and basically told him to apologize or he’d be fired. Kevin Hart: I Won’t Apologize for Homophobic Jokes! He refused to apologize. His stance at the time was that he’d apologized for those kinds of statements several times already, except, oddly enough, no one has been able to find a record of that anywhere. He’s acknowledged it, sure, but just with comments like “funny is funny,” which most people with the slightest bit of awareness can agree is very far from an apology. So that was that — he stepped down from the job, and we still don’t know who the host will be . All of this was old news, except Ellen DeGeneres brought everything back up when she had Kevin on her show yesterday. In that interview, she said that she still wanted him to host because people change, even though the haters refuse to accept that. But in another new interview, this one with Variety, Kevin is making it clear that he won’t be hosting the Oscars. Not now. Not ever. “Would I ever do it?” he asked himself. “No, it’s done. It’s done.” “The moment came and it was a blessing and I was excited at the opportunity and I still am,” he said. “In my mind I got the job, it was a dream job, and things came up that simply prohibited it from happening. But I don’t believe in going backwards.” So now, he said, “When I go on that stage, it will be because I’ve somehow figured out a way to win the Oscar.” “Somehow I’ll get to the stage but it’s not going to be in this way because it just comes with such a weird clout at this point.” And then he blamed “trolls” for digging up all those horrible things he said without bothering to find the apology he made about those things as well. Because he’s still insisting he made an apology. According to him, at some point in 2011, “I had to say to a person in the LGBTQ community, ‘Hey, I understand. And you know what? I’m wrong.'” He told that person “I can’t do nothing about that joke because it was done. I can’t do nothing about the tweets because they’re out there. I was wrong. It’ll never happen again and I’m sorry.” … Did he just say that to a random person? Is that his big apology that he expects people to know about? The thing is, if he was truly sorry for saying those things, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be able to apologize again. Maybe he doesn’t want to offer an apology in every interview he does for the rest of his life, but for big instances like this, what would it hurt to make it known that you’ve changed your ignorant views? As he explained it, “I can’t put that energy into something that’s in my past. I can’t put that energy into negativity.” View Slideshow: Ellen DeGeneres Defends Kevin Hart, Gets BLASTED on Twitter Whatever, Kevin. Have it your way.

Cory Wharton Just Took a Jab at Amber Portwood

Cory Wharton made a strong impression on Teen Mom OG fans during his first season on the MTV series. The father of a little girl named Ryder along with fellow newbie Cheyenne Floyd, Wharton spent more of his time on screen speaking with Floyd about their future as a couple. But what about their future on Teen Mom OG itself? Will Floyd and Wharton return next season? Cory responded to that question in an interview with Radar Online , and we have the latest on his status below… 1. Wharton and Floyd Joined Teen Mom OG for Season 8 They both had appeared on previous MTV shows and they had/have an unusual relationship. 2. They Have an Unusual Relationship Cory and Cheyenne are unlike any other twosome on the series, really. 3. How So? They were never actually a couple. They simply slept together and produced a baby… and Floyd didn’t even tell Wharton that he was Ryder’s dad until she was six months old. 4. Where are They at Now? Great question. Floyd seems very open to a romantic entanglement, but she also dated some dude named Zach for most of her opening run as a Teen Mom. 5. Cory, Though? He doesn’t seem as certain about actually being with Cheyenne in this manner. During the Season 8 reunion special, Floyd said she’ll “wait” awhile to see what Wharton really wants. 6. But Cory Would Not Commit He made it clear he has feelings for Cheyenne, but not enough to be her boyfriend right now, apparently. View Slideshow

Cheyenne Floyd: Yes, I Want More Kids… with Cory!

Let's face it: Cheyenne Floyd has been the most boring Teen Mom of all the Teen Mom OGs this season. That's not an insult. Heck, it's nearly a compliment because it means her life has been relatively stable — which doesn't exactly lead to significant storylines on a show such as this. Most of Floyd's initial run on the program has centered on her relationship with Cory Wharton and whether the two will get back together. On stage at part two of the reunion special, Floyd doesn't exactly answer this question. But she sort of does. See what we mea below… 1. Together Again On stage, at least, as Cory and Cheyenne taped their segment of a reunion special that will air on 12/31/18 many weeks ago. 2. Wait, Is That Cory Crying? Yup. It sure is. He actually dissolves in tears early on while talking to Dr. Drew. 3. What Prompts the Waterworks? Talk of his daughter with Cheyenne, a toddler named Ryder. Wharton opens up like never before on this episode. 4. What Do You Mean? What Does He Say? “I mean, just from the time of meeting Ryder from day one, I have changed as a person,” Cory admits, as the tears flow and Floyd comforts her ex-lover. 5. It’s a Blessing, It Really Is. It’s a Blessing. Cory said this to a strong reaction from both those in attendance and from Cheyenne as well. 6. Cheyenne Floyd and Child Cheyenne Floyd had her first child at 24. Though she was never a Teen Mom, she’ll soon join the cast of Teen Mom OG. View Slideshow

Bristol Palin Gets Roasted on Instagram, Attempts to Fight Back

So far the casting of Bristol Palin on Teen Mom OG isn’t working out for anyone involved. Bristol gets paid more than any of the other cast members, and her fame was supposed to help to increase the show’s ratings. That didn’t happen. In fact, as Starcasm reports, ratings for the long-running series have been steadily declining since it returned to the airwaves in March of 2015. (The show was on hiatus from 2012 to 2015 due to Amber Portwood’s imprisonment , and it never quite recovered.) At its peak, TMOG pulled in over 3.5 million viewers an episode. These days, it draws an audience of less than a million. Part of the problem is that the show’s resident villain, Farrah Abraham, was fired before the start of this season, creating a serious drama vacuum. Producers attempted to fill the void by adding new cast members Bristol and Cheyenne Floyd, but thus far, viewers aren’t taking the bait. The reaction to Bristol, in particular, has ranged from apathetic to vitriolic, as fans attempt to puzzle out why a member of one of America’s most reviled political families has been shoehorned into an otherwise apolitical reality show. By any measure, the Bristol experiment has failed, and it seems that Palin is taking all the criticism from fans to heart: And Bristol used a painfully lame defense when responding to a fan who maligned her during the airing of Monday night’s new episode. “[MTV] you really need to take [Bristol] off Teen Mom OG,” the angry viewer wrote on Instagram. “This chick is soooo damn ditzy and dum. Why is she so worried about her sons money if it’s for his trust fund for college?!?! “He’s not going anytime soon!!!!” “dumb.. if you’re going to criticize me, at least be grammatically correct,” Bristol replied. Okay — she’s certainly correct in her assertion that there are some grammatical and spelling errors in that post, but it’s not like the fan didn’t get her message across. And resorting to criticizing your opponent’s grammar is generally a good sign that you’re lacking a decent counterargument. Oh, and it took us about 4 seconds of scrolling through Bristol’s socials to find some egregious assaults on grammar and syntax, so she probably shouldn’t continue to go there with fans. As for what the future holds for Bristol — that’s anyone’s guess. The exact terms of her contract are a mystery, but it’s hard to believe she’ll be back for another season at her current salary. The Voice Recap: Did Adam Levine Address the Elephant in the Room?

Adam Levine found himself in the hot seat on Monday night.  The longtime coach on The Voice felt the ire of the internet last week when he urged viewers to vote to save Reagan Strange, despite her not being well enough to perform in the sing-off.  In the process, he threw his other act, DeAndre Nico, under the bus, and everyone seemed mad at him.  Last week “was a strange week, but it’s over now,” Adam said to Reagan. “DeAndre’s my boy. I love him. We talked. It’s all good.” Viewers later got to witness a video call between DeAndre and Reagan later in the night; the former had nothing but praise for his 14-year-old former teammate.  “Do your best, man,” DeAndre said, “and stay positive.” It’s classy for DeAndre to throw some support Reagan’s way, especially when you consider the backlash to this whole thing that could have been avoided.  If you thought Adam was ready to say anything else about it, you were wrong. Carson Daly seemingly decided against asking him much about the performers.  As for Reagan Strange’s big performance? It was meh.  The youngster went with Calum Scott’s “You Are the Reason,” and while the youngster has proven to have a solid voice, this was not the best song for her.  It was just all over the place, and her nerves were also to blame. By this stage of the game, you should be acclimated with performing live.  It makes sense that viewers wanted Reagan gone for that reason, but it remains to be seen whether Tuesday will be her big goodbye.  The best performance of the night was Kennedy Holmes and her rendition of “This Is Me.” She pulled out all the stops to ensure this Greatest Showman song was performed perfectly. She even put her own spin on it, to boot.  Whether viewers will vote for her is another story because, well, the viewer vote is never a sign of quality.  As for the worst performance of the night? That honor goes to Sarah Grace who went with “Sign of the Times” by Harry Styles.  There wasn’t anything remotely likable about this number. From shaky vocals to awkward moves, there was something off about the rendition from the get-go.  The true test will be whether she winds up in the bottom three, which could really go either way.  Who did you like best on the night?  Did Adam Levine make a mistake? Hit the comments below.  The Voice continues Tuesday at 8/7c.  View Slideshow: The Voice Winners: RANKED!

Teen Mom OG Recap: Catelynn Cries, Bristol Begs

On Teen Mom OG this week… … Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer went at it once again, arguing over their relationship and its affect on their kids. … Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra inched closer to their unusual and controversial trial separation. … Amber Portwood snapped at Andrew Glennon, just like old times. … Cheyenne Floyd and Cory Wharton stirred up even more drama as they grapple with their romantic future. … Oh, and Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney were totally fine and normal. Ready for a recap of the dramatic events? Scroll down and let's do this! 1. The Ballad of Bristol and Dakota We’ll start with the most dysfunctional (former) couple of all, as Palin called her ex-husband this week because she hoped they could be “”adults about the situation,” considering three kids were at the center of it. 2. Can We Just Move On, Please? “I know there’s been a lot of hurt and a lot of pettiness on both of our behalfs,” Bristol told Dakota over the phone. “I want to get off on a different foot so we can work together for our girls.” 3. Not Like This, We Can’t Meyer, who did sign up to appear on a reality TV show, didn’t appreciate Brisol reaching out as part of an episode. “Pick up the phone, text me when there’s not cameras around,” he shot back. “Show me that you’re gonna have genuine intentions and it ain’t just for the show to start some drama.” 4. dakota v. bristol Bristol replied she wanted to do it on camera so they’d have “a level of accountability,” which is pretty lame and dumb and untrue, before Meyer agreed to meet up with her to talk about things further. (But not on this episode.) 5. How Was I Ever Married to Her?!? After the call, Meyer vented to a producer as follows: “Bristol’s like a kid. She’s more worried about the court of public opinion than getting in there and let’s be parents to the kids. That’s what the show has done to her. She’s more focused on the show and her image than she is about the best interest of the kids. The kids are fine, this is the pettiness that I have to look forward to forever.” 6. Poor Catelynn Catelynn and Tyler, meanwhile, were preparing to start their separation , as Tyler was getting ready to move out. View Slideshow

Teen Mom OG Recap: Sarah Palin Steps In!

Sarah Palin has gone from insulting Barack Obama on the campaign trail to dissing Dakota Meyer on MTV. It's been quite the journey for the former Vice Presidential candidate. On Monday night's episode of Teen Mom OG, Sarah got in the middle of the ongoing marital dispute between her daughter, Bristol, and Bristol's estranged and irritated husband, Dakota Meyer. Following Bristol's breakdown over this relationship , how did her mom try to intervene? What mean things did Dakota have to say this time around? And what were the other cast members up to? Scroll down to find out! 1. Come On, Dakota! We open with Bristol complaining to Sarah about Meyer moving all her belongings into a separate bedroom while she was out of town, following their agreed-upon separation. She was really pissed over this. 2. Sarah Tried to Help “That bare empty room?” said Sarah. “Of course, that was a symbolic thing that he did there. That’s heartbreaking, Bristol.” 3. Fighting Words Bristol told her mom that Meyer also asked for her ring back, saying to his wife: “You better get your mama’s money, because I’m gonna fight you tooth and nail until the girls are 18.” 4. How Will We Move Forward? “The thing that I worry about, is how are we going to learn to communicate as coparents and putting our kids first and not having petty arguments?” wondered Bristol. 5. Meyer Loses It Bristol asked Dakota if he would be home when she got back from a trip to Los Angeles, which set him OFF. “She’s a f-cking smart ass isn’t she? She’s an obnoxious smart ass,” Meyer vented to a producer. “‘Oh, so you’re gonna be there all week?’ It’s my house. What am I gonna do, for 8 days, go find another place to stay? No.” 6. And He Wasn’t Done, Either “She just thinks that when she makes a decision and she wants to do something, everyone else should just bow down and run to her help and make it happen,” Dakota continued. “She’s not my problem anymore. I get upset about it because I have another 16 years to have to communicate to a human being like this about my daughters.” View Slideshow

Anna Faris: BRUTALLY Body-Shamed Over New Photo

As if divorcing Chris Pratt didn’t suck enough , Anna Faris is now facing a new trial in life after she shared a seemingly innocuous picture. Faris, of all people, was targeted by body-shamers who flooded her social media with negative comments. The trolling was so severe that she deleted the photo almost instantly. “Having pre-show jitters,” Anna Faris confessed on social media after sharing the now-deleted photo you’re about to see. “So glad Michael Sherman captured it,” she wrote with a hint of sarcasm. Sherman is her  Unqualified  podcast assistant. “Also,” Faris added. “I eventually decided to put on pants.” It’s understandable that she would put it off — who wears pants unless they absolutely have to? Unfortunately, it was not her lack of leg-prisons … sorry, her lack of  pants  … that grasped the attention of followers. It was her legs and especially her thighs which, mostly visible, revealed that she has very slender legs and a significant thigh gap. “You look so unhealthy,” one troll wrote, before instructing her: “Eat.” Unfortunately, that was not the only comment — just an example. She was bombarded by an onslaught of body-shaming from hateful trolls. TMZ   reports that Faris ended up deleting the photo after only 15 minutes. That is heartbreaking. Some celebrities merely choose to deactivate comments if the hateful vitriol becomes too much. These days, celebrities are more accessible than ever before, and people who want to feel a sense of control will lash out at them to deliberately hurt their feelings. It looks like it worked, this time. Anna Faris does not deserve this. Faris may have been backstage for her appearance on The Talk  on Tuesday. “Here’s the thing,” Faris confessed. “I feel really guilty that I wasn’t more anxious” about sending her son, Jack, to kindergarten. “Because it feels like all the other parents were very anxious,” she explains. “And the kindergarten teachers are like, ‘Ah, is everything going to be OK?'” when speaking to the nervous parents. “And I felt like…can’t we just drop him off?” she says. “Chris and I walked him there and we were trying to not transfer any, you know, hint of anxiety,” Faris shares. She and her now-ex husband did the right thing, though Faris notes: “not that I was having it.”  Jack followed their lead, she says: “He just ran in and he was like, ‘Bye guys!'” “But it was that funny mom guilt feeling,” she explains. This was a sensation “of like, I feel like this should emotionally tug at me more than it is.” It sounds like they did a good job of instilling confidence in Jack. We just hope that Faris isn’t reeling from the hateful backlash. Social media can be an amazing tool to keep friends connected and to make new friends. People can exchange art and ideas. Unfortunately, the worst people on the planet are also on social media, and they would like nothing more than to ruin someone’s day. Anna Faris’ legs can be as thick or thin as she likes, and that is none of our business. Period. View Slideshow: Anna Faris: 14 Revelations from Her Memoir
