Duggar Family: Axed By TLC Because of Josh Scandals?

It’s been more than 19 months since the allegations that Josh Duggar molested five young girls  first went public. At first, Duggar fans expected the family to deny the reports. Instead, it emerged that parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar helped hide Josh’s crimes from the authorities. Throughout 2015, things continued to deteriorate for the Duggars. Several more scandals were unearthed, most (though not all of them) involving Josh. In October of last year, it was revealed that Josh had two paid accounts with Ashley Madison , a service that helps facilitate affairs between married people.  Shortly thereafter, a sex worker named Danica Dillon came forward with allegations that Josh had paid her for sex and treated her so roughly during the encounter that she suffered from PTSD. It looked to all the world as though the wholesome Duggar brand had been damaged beyond repair. Remarkably, however, the family was able to finagle its way back onto television with the TLC reality series Counting On , now in its second season. At first, the network was understandably tentative about taking another chance on the Duggars. The show started as a limited-run miniseries before being picked up for a full season. Crucial to its early success was the fact the belief amongst viewers that Counting On would never feature Josh, Jim Bob, or Michelle Duggar. That’s already proven to be partially untrue, as Jim Bob and Michelle have made several controversial cameos during the show’s second season. Now there are reports that Josh may be returning to Counting On to tell his side of the story and try to win sympathy from viewers. According to several media outlets, the mere mention of Josh appearing on the show has been enough for TLC execs to make it clear they will cancel Counting On , if the Duggars persist in their belief that it would be a good idea to bring Josh on camera. The network was already reportedly considered canceling the show due to less-than-stellar ratings and severed relationships with advertisers who are angry that their commercials appeared during such a controversial series. Now, the Duggars have reportedly been warned that production will be shut down if they attempt to shoot a Josh cameo. Looks like fans of the family won’t have to worry about being reminded of the family’s scandalous side during Counting On . Tim Burton: SLAMMED for Seemingly Racist Remarks

Let’s just be clear up front: We do not think Tim Burton is a racist. Not in the least. But the director is under pretty major fire at the moment for some remarks made about his latest movie. Speaking on Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children to Bustle, Burton made the following remark in regard to diversity in his movies. Or lackthereof, really, considering there are practically only white people in this latest flick. “Nowadays, people are talking about it more,” Burton said, elaborating: “Things either call for things, or they don’t. I remember back when I was a child watching The Brady Bunch and they started to get all politically correct. Like, OK, let’s have an Asian child and a black. “I used to get more offended by that than just … I grew up watching blaxploitation movies, right? And I said, that’s great. I didn’t go like, OK, there should be more white people in these movies.” What Burton seems to be saying here is that he’s against quotas. He’s saying one should not hire a minority simply to hire a minority. And he’s come under attack for this point of view; and/or the way he expressed it. Samuel L. Jackson, the only nonwhite cast member in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, was made aware of Burton’s comments and rushed to the director’s defense. “I had to go back in my head and go, how many black characters have been in Tim Burton movies?” Jackson said. “And I may have been the first, I don’t know, or the most prominent in that particular way, but it happens the way it happens. I don’t think it’s any fault of his or his method of storytelling, it’s just how it’s played out. “Tim’s a really great guy.” Unsurprisingly, however, Twitters users were less forgiving. “He’s just one of the many directors who think that for a world to be magical and fantastical it must be white,” one user wrote of Burton, whose name began trending on Twitter. Another added: “Its fascinating that Tim Burton has a huge imagination in the rendering of his films, but a Asian kid in Miss Peregrine is a stretch for him.” This person, meanwhile, made a salient and also humorous point: And this person did the same: Do you find Burton’s remark offense? What about his history of casting the same people in his movies? Or is this much ado about not very much at all? When you consider the following race-related scandals, the fact that this is getting any attention at all feels sort of silly, doesn’t it? View Slideshow: 14 Celebrity N-Word Scandals

Sister Wives Shocker: Are ALL The Wives Leaving Kody?!

When we last heard from the Sister Wives, Kody Brown was considering taking on two new wives — gross, right? Kody already has four wives, so you’d think he’d be satisfied, but you’d be wrong. His fourth wife, Robyn, was reportedly so upset about Kody’s desire to add a couple more ladies to the Brown clan that she threatened to leave him . Meanwhile, his other three wives — Meri, Janelle, and Christine, the ones that have been with Kody for years — were kind of “whatever” about it. A former family friend said that Kody wasn’t too concerned about the prospect of Robyn leaving him, as “Kody’s main goal is to keep the series going and to make money. He’s a snake.” But Kody might have a little more cause for concern now. According to a new report, Sister Wives might be canceled. It’s a rumor we’ve heard before, but there’s a new twist. The word now is that while the show could be canceled, a new spinoff could be in the works. A spinoff featuring Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn. Without Kody. How amazing would that be? Really, all Kody adds to the show is his own disgusting brand of douchebaggery. He wouldn’t be missed at all if he was gone from the show — it would actually be a lot easier to watch. Just think about it: we could see the sister wives dating, forming new relationships, ones that hopefully wouldn’t be as sketchy as the “marriages” we see on the show now. The sister wives might finally feel free to badmouth Kody: meaning they might finally be able to tell the truth about him. But while the idea of a new show featuring the wives without Kody is undeniably appealing, the best thing about this development would be that the ladies would finally be away from Kody in their actual lives. He’s been awful to his wives, so awful that Meri actually had an affair. Yes, her affair got twisted as a cautionary tale about catfishing , but the fact remains that Meri thought she was talking to a man, and since her family has the bizarre belief that a man can have multiple wives that each have to remain faithful to that one man, it’s sketchy. Meri was so desperately unhappy with her marriage that she became involved with a stranger on the internet, and that’s sad. It’s also proof that Kody is a manipulative jackass that shouldn’t have one wife, let alone four. So yes, bring on the divorces and the spinoff series and the downfall of Kody Brown. We would welcome those things gladly.

Kody Brown: Accused of FAKING Sister Wives Drama For Ratings!

Krysten Decker, the aunt of Sister Wives star Christine Brown, has been speaking to the press all week, and it seems Kody Brown and company are not happy about it. Yesterday, Decker claimed that  Christine Brown is “miserable”  in her polygamous lifestyle and is in no way in love with Kody. Now, in an interview that could be even more damaging to the family and its reputation, Decker has claimed that the show is a sham. That’s right. According to her, most if not all of the drama fans of the show have enjoyed for the past six seasons is almost entirely fake. The series’ central storylines often focus on the dubious legality of their lifestyle and their efforts to stay one step ahead of the authorities. Speaking with Radar Online, Decker says that’s all nonsense , and the Browns have never been forced to move in order to escape the law. “They talked about moving to Las Vegas [to escape Utah’s anti-polygamy laws] long before they did,” she claims. “That was their plan and they used the State [of Utah supposedly, legally] coming after them for ratings.” “That’s my strong opinion.” Decker says she’s been ostracized by Christine Brown and the rest of her Church of Latter-Day Saints community due to her controversial decision to leave her husband and abandon the fundamentalist lifestyle. She did so because she feels it subjugates and oppresses women. “My leaving definitely had to do with [my husband’s behavior], but it was all the harms I saw around me,” she says. “I left polygamy before I left my husband.” Decker says her appearance on the show was edited to turn her into a sort of antagonist for the famous TLC family. As a result, she wishes she had never become involved with Kody and his decision to take part in a reality series: “I really regret being on the show…[After] I was devastated, I cried,” she lamented to the celebrity news website. “Christine tried to make me out to be a mean person who didn’t believe in choice, either traditional or religious.” “You can’t actually have a choice if you live under polygamy. If you chose not to do it, there is a penalty.” Decker says Christine has cut off all her contact with her, and she often wonders if she’ll ever again have a chance to speak with her niece. The plot thickens. View Slideshow: 13 Reality TV Show Hoaxes You Totally Fell For

Christine Brown: Sister Wives Star "Miserable" With Kody, Polygamy!!!

Polygamy isn’t for everyone. Just ask Sister Wives’ Christine Brown’s aunt, Kristyn Decker. Decker defected from the Latter Day Saints polygamous sect, Apostolic United Brethren, which the Browns – Kody, Christine, Meri, Janelle and Robyn – happen to belong to.  According to Radar Online , Decker’s father, Owen Allred was once the leader of the sect. Decker told Radar recently that she doesn’t “believe” Christine is happy , and it’s showing. “I call it ‘miserable happiness.’ That truly describes those that were in polygamist marriages and those that left,” Decker said. “I think they are just miserable and the show started showing it.” From watching the TLC series, Decker notices a “lack of connection between the women. “They don’t know where to stand when they’re talking about their relationship with the other women. They don’t get the quality time they want with their husband. Neither do the children. The spousal connection isn’t there.” I’m no expert on the subject, but I can’t imagine polygamy makes it easy for a husband and wife to connect when there are at least two other women involved. “They are happy because they believe they are serving God or their God. But it is miserable happiness,” Decker went on. “I think the Browns are precious people. They are just misled like I was. “They were born and raised with it. They are not representing the majority of polygamy.” Decker didn’t elaborate on that last quote, which begs the question “What exactly does the majority of polygamy look like?’ Last year, Meri was caught up in a catfish hoax ; she got involved in an online relationship with a woman from Oklahoma who pretended to be a man. The woman then made threats to Meri, forcing the reality star to come clean on air. View Slideshow: 13 Reality TV Lies People Somehow Believe

Teacher Sex Scandals – Top 50 of All Time

Beginning with the infamous Mary Kay Letourneau case in 1995, Americans have been fascinated with female teachers who cross the line and have sexual relationships with their students. According to an AP study, between 2001 and 2005, 2,570 educators had their teaching credentials revoked, denied, surrendered or sanctioned following allegations of sexual misconduct. While only ten percent of those teachers were women, female teachers who have slept with their students receive the lion's share of media attention Continue reading
