Top 10 Celebrity Fights

Read more here:

So word is Fabolous knocked Ray J the f**k out at the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight in Vegas this past weekend. This is just one of many celebrity fights to have occurred over in the past few years. Is it me or aren’t these fights always the most random match ups we never expect? Sometimes celebrities fight over real issues and other times it’s just the dumbest things you can ever imagine. TUD has decided to compile a list of the top 10 celebrity fights that have played out in the public and on the blogs. Check out the list below! 10. Usher Vs. Bobby Brown- Now this was not a real fight but the blogs were buzzing about Usher and Bobby Brown getting into an altercation. We would love to see two of R&B greats go at it as if they were really competing for the title but that was not the case. Bobby Brown attended Usher’s birthday party where he greeted Usher who was so happy to see him, he put Bobby in a headlock. Bobby tried to tell Usher he could not breathe but Usher couldn’t hear him over the loud music. Bobby then picked Usher up holding him over the DJ booth when Usher’s security came to his rescue. 9. Foxy Brown Vs. Jacki-O – Foxy is considered the most controversial female rapper of all time. So no one is surprised when she gets into fights. Back in 2005, Foxy Brown and Jacki-O got into a fight down in Miami. Rumor is Jacki-O and rapper, Gravy, were in the studio recording when Foxy Brown showed up along with her nasty attitude. Jacki-O, who wishes she could have a rap career like Foxy once had, was not feeling how shady Foxy was being and put feet on her. Check out the video where Jacki-O speaks on the altercation and Foxy’s response saying it never happened and Jacki-O was just fishing for free press. Jacki-O later released a diss record aimed at Foxy titled “TKO.” 8. Joe Budden Vs. Raekwon- We all know Joe Budden loves having drama played out on cameras. He somehow believes it will help his brand and he will one day go platinum.  The beef started with Joe Budden talking trash about being better than Method Man. Now you already know the Wu is going to hold it down. At Rock The Bells 09, someone in The Wu-Tang’s camp swung on Joe. Of course, Joe Budden would make a video holding a ice pack to his face. Check the video out HERE . 7. Maino Vs. Yung Berg- Maino made it clear that he was not being a bully. The two were on tour together at the time and Maino was even featured on Yung Berg’s “The Business” remix. Yung Berg approached Maino at a club in Atlanta. “I heard you was talking reckless about me” is what Yung Berg said to Maino. Being from the streets of Brooklyn, Maino open handed slapped him. Check out the audio where Maino speaks on what happen. 6. Ne-Yo Vs. Jim Jones- This is a rare match up that we never saw coming. The fight took place at the Louis Vuitton store on 5th Avenue in New York City. Word is one of Jim Jones’ goons made a disrespectful comment about Jay-Z to Ty Ty, who is Jay’s best friend, and when Ty Ty responded things got crazy. A source told MTO that someone had a Prada shoe on Ne-Yo’s neck. Sounds like a serious brawl doesn’t it? No one suffered any major injuries. Charges against Jim Jones were pressed and he later appeared in court and was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket. Jim Jones says he was lucky not to have received any time behind bars. 5. Ray J Vs. Fabolous- We never saw this one coming. Ray J and Fabolous scrapping down after the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight is just hilarious. Now the fight is rumored to be instigated by 50 Cent. We all know how 50 can get the beef popping off. The altercation started off as just jokes but things got real after 50 instigated. This resulted in Fabolous hitting Ray J with a two piece and a biscuit leaving him unconscious. Word is Ray J’s jewelry was stolen in the process. Read about the full story HERE . 4. Junior Mafia Vs. Dipset- Just may be one of those classic hip hop beefs. Brooklyn Vs. Harlem if you really want to take it there. The brawl took place about 10 years ago at Ruker Park in Harlem, NY.  We still don’t exactly know how this fight got started but according to JM, Cam’ron fled the scene when things got real. Check out the video where Lil’ Cease and Junior Mafia speak on the brawl.    3. Jay-Z Vs. R. Kelly – When the best of both worlds go wrong. There were rumors of Jay-Z and R-Kelly having some disagreements while touring for their second joint album Unfinished Business . I would assume the rumors true when R. Kelly was sprayed in the face with pepper spray by Jay-Z’s best friend Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith. This occurred when R. Kelly had stopped the concert and exited the stage, claiming he saw two men with guns in the audience.  This caused Jay-Z to put an end to the tour. R. Kelly wanted to go on, but Jay had enough of R. Kelly’s wild antics and continued on without him with the help of artist like Kanye West, Foxy Brown, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliott and more, calling the show Jay-Z and Friends.  R. Kelly later hit Jay with a $75 million breach of contract lawsuit. 2. Jay-Z Vs. Lance “Un” Rivera- Now we still don’t know the truth about this fight as Nas pointed out in his “Ether” diss. The incident dates back to December 1999 when Jay was gearing up to release “Life & Times Of S. Cater” Vol. 3. Word had got back to Jay-Z that Un was responsible for his album being leaked before the release date. Jay-Z and his entourage ran into Un at The Kit Kat Club on west 43rd street in New York City. Rumor has it during the altercation Jay-Z stabbed Lance. Later, Rivera drafted a civil suit against Jay-Z  but never filed it after the two settled out of court for about $500,000 to $1 million. 1. Diddy Vs. Steve Stoute- Nas’s “Hate Me Now” video displayed Diddy and Nas being nailed to a cross like Jesus. Diddy later did not want the world to see him like that because of his religion. Steve Stoute who was Nas’a manager at the time promised Diddy that he would have him taken out of that part of the video. The video premiered with both Nas and Diddy being nailed to a cross. This resulted in Diddy and his bodyguards breaking into Steve Stoute’s office and hit him over the head with a champagne bottle. Now what I wanna know is, did Diddy bring the champagne bottle with him or did he hit Steve Stoute in the head with his own Champagne bottle? ‘Man Of Steel’ Star Michael Shannon Plans To ‘Reinvent’ Zod

‘There’s nothing holding me back,’ actor says of his version of Superman’s nemesis. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Michael Shannon Photo: MTV News “Man of Steel” star Michael Shannon has moved from absurdity to anxiety. When the Oscar-nominated actor was cast as General Zod back in April, he confessed he found the entire thing “ridiculous.” Now that he’s on set and in character, Shannon has moved on but is not exactly feeling comfortable yet. “I’m nervous,” he told MTV News while promoting his upcoming drama, “Take Shelter.” “I’m still getting my foot into the pool. I just started working on it.” The work he’s focusing on is taking a villain familiar from Christopher Reeve’s first two “Superman” films and reimagining him for a new millennium (and, in Henry Cavill, a new Man of Steel). “I’m not going to impersonate Terence Stamp. I’m not going to have a British accent or anything,” he said, referring to the esteemed actor who played the Kryptonian baddie in the original films. “All I can say is it’s very well written and there’s a lot of great opportunities to reinvent it for myself. The challenge is for me to do that. There’s nothing holding me back. I think they’re counting on me to give my interpretation. I’ll do the best I can.” Early on, as photos from “Man of Steel” set hit the Web, the clearest indication of a big-screen reinvention is Zod’s costume. Like Cavill’s Superman (who has seemingly ditched those familiar red undies), Shannon’s take on the character appears to be diverging from the past, this time with the help of a motion-capture suit. When we asked Shannon about the suit, though, he put on every actor’s stop-asking-me-questions-I-can’t-answer best defense: jokes. “Those are actually my street clothes,” he said. “I don’t know why they’re taking those pictures. I wear those clothes to work in the morning. Once I’m in costume, I have a cloak of invisibility that I wear between takes.” Shannon took the same tactic when asked if he’d share any scenes with Russell Crowe, who’s set to play Superman’s biological father . “Russell Crowe’s in the movie?” he asked with faux innocence. “Me and Russell, we have a scene where we have tea and talk about the old times. ‘Remember when the people of Krypton used to … ?’ That kind of scene. “Technically, I’m not supposed to say anything about ‘Superman,’ ” he added. “I think when I get back to work they’re going to have to give me the [ mimes putting a gun to his head and pulling the trigger ] to keep me from blabbing about it.” But it wasn’t all jokes. In addition to announcing his intention to reinvent Zod, Shannon let us know what he finds to be the most interesting aspect of the character: “Being a general,” he said. “To me, that’s a fascinating, iconoclastic character. I can’t imagine being a sergeant, let alone a general. He’s in charge of the entire military of Krypton. That’s going to take every little shred of imagination that I have. It’s a good challenge because it’s a big distance to have to go.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Man of Steel.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . Is It Time To Start Christmas Shopping?

Read this article:

If you’re one of those people who seem to be taken by surprise every holiday season, then yes, it’s time to start Christmas shopping! I know, I know. Labor Day is still on the tips of our tongues and you haven’t even thought about the kids Halloween costume yet. It may feel too early, but unless you’re expecting some type of financial windfall between now and December, it’s definitely time to start Christmas planning! With just over 100 days until Christmas, it’s time to start your preparation for the holiday season. The reality is that when you’re not prepared, you make what could be and should be an amazing time of year far too stressful. Far too many of us become overwhelmed by trivial things; From the decorations most people won’t even pay attention to, to what to buy co-workers we barely like, we spend money we don’t truly have because of both commercial and self-induced pressures. Getting into the holiday spirit doesn’t have to break the bank. You can do it by simply asking yourself these questions to ensure you are stress-free and financially ready for this holiday season. What did I spend last year? The best indication of what your holiday spending may be this year is determined by what you spent last year. Check last year’s bank statements or gather every last receipt for each purchase you made or expense you incurred during the holiday season (November 20th – December 31st). Include everything from gifts to additional food, wrapping paper and decorations. Tally it up and add at least $100 for all the small things we know you’re going to forget. This number represents what you need to save over the next few months. Where will my holiday money come from? Based on your findings, create a holiday fund. Divide the total dollar amount of what you need to save by the number of paychecks you plan on receiving between now and Christmas. Begin stashing money away in a separate account as soon as you possibly can. If you don’t trust yourself, utilize online banks like ING Direct . They typically takes 48 hours to transfer funds, so that should help you think twice before spending your holiday fund on anything not holiday related. 3.What’s in my spending plan? Categorize every holiday-related expense imaginable. Write down how much you anticipate spending on each. Add everything up. If it exceeds the budget, prioritize and adjust your list accordingly. Remember everything is negotiable. Don’t feel pressured to go beyond your means. READ MORE The Frugalista Files [BOOK REVIEW] 10 Ways To Avoid Overdraft Fees

Charlie Sheen Rewards Brooke Mueller with Mexican Vacation

Perhaps Charlie Sheen really is a changed man . The actor has touched down with ex-wife Brooke Mueller in Mexico, telling TMZ the trip is actually a reward for the troubled mother of his twins because she’s been “busting her ass with the boys, and [she’s] more sober and healthy than I’ve ever seen her.” Sheen has made it his goal to get Brooke on a proper path, paying for her treatment with a team of doctors he trusts. It’s amazing how far these two have come. It was only February, according to court documents, when Sheen lamented the fact that he didn’t kill Muller during their infamous, dangerous fight on Christmas Day 2009. Glad to see they’re getting along now!

Johnny Depp’s ‘Lone Ranger’: Why Disney Shut It Down

Poor performance of ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ may have influenced studio. By Eric Ditzian Johnny Depp Photo: WireImage As cinematic collaborators go, there are few in Hollywood who can match the storytelling cred and box-office clout of Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski. The duo has delivered a trifecta of “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, taking the property from hokey amusement-park ride to multibillion-dollar franchise juggernaut. Last fall, well before their kooky, captivating animated adventure “Rango” opened to $38.1 million domestically, Depp and Verbinski announced their next live-action collaboration would be “The Lone Ranger,” a project Depp and Disney had been trying to get off the ground for years. Now, quite surprisingly, Disney has shut down the production amidst concerns about a Western-themed film with a budget north of $200 million. Deadline reported the development on Friday, and the Los Angeles Times followed up on Monday (August 15) with further details about the stoppage. The Times reports the “Lone Ranger” budget could have ballooned to $250 million at a time when studios are looking to keep costs under control, even as a heavily reliance on CG effects drives those costs up. “It’s our intention to take a very careful look at what films cost,” Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Bob Iger said on a conference call with analysts on Tuesday, according to the Times. “And if we can’t get them to a level that we’re comfortable with, we think that we’re better off actually reducing the size of our slate than making films that are bigger and increasingly more risky.” But there’s also little doubt that Disney was influenced by the performance of “Cowboys & Aliens,” a Western that faltered at the box office this summer despite A-list talent in front of and behind the camera. After the expensive, Harrison Ford-starring action flick opened to just $36.2 million during its first weekend, industry insiders fully anticipated that studios would shy away from the genre. “There is no getting around the fact that the Western-sci-fi genre mashup has been a terrible failure in Hollywood,” Jeff Bock, box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations, told MTV News at the time. “Expect studios to stay far away from this genre in the near future.” Not even Depp and Verbinski — and their long-standing relationship with Disney — were immune to Hollywood’s growing understanding that big-budget Westerns just aren’t resonating with moviegoers. The move means that unless a new approach (and a new budget) can be worked out, Depp won’t get to bring Tonto, the Lone Ranger’s dutiful sidekick, to the screen, despite years of involvement with the project. Armie Hammer, of “Social Network” fame , was set to play the Lone Ranger himself. “This is the origin of Lone Ranger,” producer Jerry Bruckheimer told MTV News in March 2010, “so you’re gonna see how the Lone Ranger became the Lone Ranger. He was a Texas Ranger, and how he became the Lone Ranger.” Are the chances that audiences get to see that origin story in theaters totally dead? The Times floats an optimistic note, citing other projects shut down because of high costs, like Denzel Washington’s “Unstoppable,” that were resurrected at the last minute. For now, though, it seems more likely Depp would reprise his “Pirates” role of Jack Sparrow than step into Tonto’s boots — though even a fifth seafaring adventure is uncertain at this point. “It boils down to story, script and filmmaker,” Depp said earlier this year about “Pirates 5.” “It’s not something where I would say, ‘Let’s shoot it next month to get it out by Christmas 2012.’ We should hold off for a bit. They should be special, just like they are special to me.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: ‘Twas the Fight Before Christmas …

It’s a Christmas Party at the Gorgas last night on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and according to Melissa’s sister, panties are optional. Enough said. Let’s recap the festivities with THG’s +/- review! We’ll start with pre-party planning. It sounds like Joe Guidice has a DUI conviction, then was driving while suspended for the DUI for which he spent 10 days in jail. He’s being sued for fraud and is in the middle of very public and messy bankruptcy proceedings plus other legal issues that haven’t been discussed on the show.
