Florida Judge Reassigned After Saying Blacks Should Take A Ship “Back To Africa”

Florida Judge Said Blacks Should Get On A Boat And Go Back To Africa Well no wonder there’s no justice in the justice system… A Florida circuit judge has been reassigned as formal charges are being levied against him for using the “c-word” to a female attorney AND saying blacks should “go back to Africa.” According to Jacksonville.com reports A state judicial panel has filed formal charges against Jacksonville Circuit Judge Mark Hulsey alleging he used racist and misogynistic language to subordinates. The complaint includes charges that Hulsey, who is paid $146,000 a year, referred to a woman as a “c–t” and said blacks “should go get back on a ship and go back to Africa.” In a statement Hulsey said he’d done nothing wrong and looks forward to clearing his name, but hours after the allegations became public Chief Judge Mark Mahon reassigned Hulsey to the Probate Division. “These allegations are very serious, and if true, very troubling,” Mahon said in a prepared statement.”This is done not to pass judgement on the truth of these charges but to continue the orderly administration of justice. For me to comment any further would not be appropriate.” “These false allegations have been a poorly kept secret hanging over me like a cloud for months,” Hulsey said in emailed remarks Wednesday. “I am pleased the JQC (Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission) has concluded its initial investigation, and that I will now have an opportunity to respond to them in a public forum.” Word of accusations against Hulsey spread well before the commission’s decision. In June, several black pastors asked for Hulsey’s resignation, expressing doubts black defendants could be treated fairly in his court. SMH… Ironically this guy is up for re-election later this year. He was elected in 2010 after a twenty year career as an attorney. Ironically along with him potentially being a racist and a misogynist, he’s also been accused of pushing his work onto his staff attorneys (even during a DEATH PENALTY case!) and exploiting his judicial assistant by having her pay personal bills, write letters and phone people on his behalf. Jesus Take The Wheel: Mother Finds Out 15-Year-Old Son Was Shot Dead On Facebook

She had to find out on Facebook though? Mother Finds Out About Son’s Death On Facebook It’s hard enough to accept the death of a child, but finding out on Facebook makes it worse. According to NY Daily News: An Indianapolis woman who signed onto Facebook Saturday found herself faced with the heartbreaking news no mother should ever have to endure. Her 15-year-old son, Anthoney, had been shot dead, people were writing on her son’s Facebook wall. That was the agonizing moment she found out. “Someone put on Facebook, ‘RIP Anthony, I will miss you’ and then the phone calls started coming in to my house and cell phone,” his mother, Nikkita Milledge, told CNN amid tears. Her son, a star high school football player, was shot twice outside an Indianapolis apartment complex just before 1 p.m. But investigators now believe that he and another 19-year-old were attempting a robbery on Saturday afternoon when he was killed. Anthoney was fatally shot twice, police believe by the older teen. To Milledge, and perhaps any parent put in her place, it all doesn’t add up. “I did everything to keep him busy but it wasn’t enough,” the distraught mother told CNN. Anthoney played on a youth football league at the state level where he was placed second several times, Fox59 reported. At home he had four brothers and sisters with whom he was described as close with. His younger brother described him to CNN as someone everyone could look up to and rely on. The mother’s best efforts proved to be not enough, however, with the Indianapolis area that her family calls home having had four shooting deaths this month alone, as WTHR reports. “We all need to take a stand as mothers who have lost children,” said his mother. The 19-year-old, since identified as Brice Price, was arrested Tuesday for Warren’s death, WIBC reports. Price faces charges of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. Our prayers are with the family. Shutterstock

SMH: Teacher’s Aide Gets Probation For Chopping Down Underage Student With Learning Disability

Only probation? Where’s the justice? Teacher’s Aide Gets Probation After Sex With Student Authority figures getting off this easy only encourages this disgusting behavior. According to St. Louis Post Dispatch reports: A former teacher’s aide with the Wentzville School District won’t spend any time in jail after pleading guilty to having sex with one of her students. Victoria Reinke, 30, of the 600 block of Aster Lane in O’Fallon, could have been sentenced to four years in prison, but on Monday, Circuit Judge Rick Zerr placed her on five year’s probation instead. Prosecutors had sought a prison sentence of two years. Reinke had been working at Timberland High School at the time of the relationship with the student in March 2012, police said. According to prosecutors, the victim was a teen in the special education program. The boy, who initially was 16 when he met Reinke, has a learning disability with an IQ of 70. He told prosecutors that the two did not have sexual intercourse until he was 17. The encounters took place after school in Reinke’s van, police said. The two communicated via phone calls and text messages, which numbered more than 400 between December 2011 and March 2012, according to court documents. Reinke pleaded guilty to one count of sexual contact with a student by a school employee on Oct. 23. Reinke apologized in a short statement before the court. “I was the responsible, mature one and should have never let anything happen,” she said. Zerr said a suspended sentence will still leave Reinke with a felony conviction but will allow her to take care of her children. “I’m sorry for the loss of relationship with your son,” he told the teen’s parents, “but I don’t think sending this lady to prison is going to fix that.” SMH. She picked on a student with a learning disability.

Pot charge against Vietnam veteran illustrates confusion with medical marijuana law

First, it was post-traumatic stress disorder brought on by his service in the Vietnam War. Then came two bouts with throat cancer, which left him without a voice box. Now, 61-year-old Gary Muntz has a new ailment — lymphoma, a slow-moving cancer of the lymph nodes. He speaks only with the aid of a mechanical device pressed tightly to his neck. Long periods outside his home require a wheelchair, and he often cannot sleep. Marijuana helps. It relaxes him, Muntz said. It wards off the nightmares of his childhood, of his time as a paratrooper in Vietnam. It eases pain that sometimes prevents him from getting out of bed. Michigan voters approved the state’s medical marijuana law for people like Muntz, who has a card authorizing him to use the drug for medicinal purposes, said his lawyer, Robert Gaecke. “It was designed for people who really are suffering, that you can see, and this guy was it,” Gaecke said. Muntz, however, was charged with a felony drug crime for violating the law. His case illustrates the muddle surrounding the 2008 voter-enacted legislation and the uncertainty that police and prosecutors face about how to enforce it. “There are still a lot of questions out there, and there is not a lot of definitive legal guidance on how we are supposed to treat these cases,” said John Holda, Jackson deputy police chief. The law must be “far more specific” regarding under what conditions someone can grow marijuana, possess it and acquire it, said Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain. Hopefully, the courts or state lawmakers can give authorities some clarification, McBain said. Many cases are pending, and governments are looking into it. Last week, Wyoming, a city near Grand Rapids, became the latest municipality to ban medical marijuana. McBain lightly sentenced Muntz on Nov. 30, saying he believed Muntz substantially complied with the law. http://www.jackherer.com/archives/pot-charge-against-vietnam-veteran-illustrates… added by: JackHerer
