Lchat: SnapChat Lost 3 Million Daily Users In The Last 3 Months

It is being reported that over the last three months the once favorite social media app has lost about 3 million daily users.  Looks like Instagram is seriously eating Snapchat’s food and is one of the leading factors in the app’s downfall. The redesign that immediately turned off users and its constant issues with the Android app didn’t help its cause either and contributed to the mass exodus. User growth for the app is slowed down last quarter, and the spectacles which they hope would fly off shelves failed to latch on with users which led to the head of Snap Lab to step down due to restructuring. Snap Inc does plan to release a new and smaller version called Spectacles 2 in hopes of a different result. Now as of yesterday (August 7th), reports show the apps number of daily users have dropped from 191 million in the first quarter of the year, to now 188 million users. This news marks the first time in the company’s history that its user count has dropped. It’s not all bad news, Snap Inc CFO Tim Stone says active users are now actually up to 100 million in US and Canada, and the overall revenue is $242 million which is a 44 percent year-over-year increase and an 11.9 percent bump in from the previous quarter. In a prepared statement, CEO Evan Spiegel spoke on the numbers and put most of the blame on the app’s redesign and stated: “It has been approximately six months since we broadly rolled out the redesign of our application, and we have been working hard to iterate and improve Snapchat based on the feedback from the community.” He also spoke about Snapchat’s issues with it’s Android app: “Even though our iterative efforts to improve the existing application have helped increase new user retention on Android by nearly 20 percent since Q4 of 2016, we believe that rewriting the application presents a big opportunity because it takes advantage of the latest Android capabilities and has a modularized structure that will make it easier for us to innovate in the future.: Sounds good but will its recent updates such as new camera filters, group video chats and Harry Potter bitmojis and new spectacles work? Lets not also forget the impact of Kylie Jenner and Rihanna sharing their displeasure also hurt the app and the company’s value as well. They might want to get a big name on board to help with regaining its cool factor with the users that left the app. Cause as of right now Instagram is showing no signs of letting up at all. Samuel L. Jackson Has Been Added To ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’

Good news Marvel fans, it looks like Colonel Nick Fury and Commander Maria Hill will in fact be surviving the rumored cataclysmic events of the still untitled Avengers 4 . Mild spoilers ahead.  Just a few months after becoming dust in the wind in Avengers: Infinity War , Vulture is reporting that Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill) have just been resurrected and added to the cast of Spider-Man: Far From Home.  And anyone who’s in the MCU loop knows that the Spider-Man sequel is set to take place right after the events of Avengers 4,  hence, Nick Fury lives! This will be the first time that Nick Fury interacts with the web slinger on screen and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of chemistry the two create going forward. Unfortunately it seems like Iron Man nor Captain America will be joining the Spidey fray as they’re rumored to be kicking the bucket in order to save the world from an Infinity Gauntlet wielding mad titan. Plus their Marvel contracts are up after Avengers 4 so that pretty much confirms their glorious exits [Editor’s Note: Don’t count on it.—aqua]. Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently filming in the United Kingdom and once again stars Tom Holland as your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and will feature Jack Gyllenhaal as the film’s primary villain, Mysterio . Now that it’s basically confirmed that Nick Fury will live to fight another day, will Samuel L. Jackson finally get his wish and make his way to Wakanda for Black Panther 2 ? — Photo: WENN.com

The actress and husband Michael Cameron welcomed their second child into the world on Tuesday, with Mitchell announcing via social media that she now has a son. “Kenzie is proud to announce the arrival of her sweet baby brother, Hutton!” Mitchell alongside a precious photo of her daughter kissing the newborn addition to the family today. She added: “Thank you for all the love and well wishes!” Mitchell and Cameron got married in 2008 and became parents to daughter Kenzie in April 2013. Anchorman 2 Teaser Poster Has Legs

Paramount unveiled the first poster to its imminent Anchorman sequel, which we’ve all been calling Anchorman 2 forever but will apparently have the brassier if more cumbersome title, Anchorman: The Legend Continues . Did we already know this? Sorry if I missed that, seriously, I’m still utterly transfixed by Peter Berg’s geopolitical aplomb . Ron Burgundy couldn’t hold a candle. Anyway, you’ll still call it Anchorman 2 , so whatever, have a look. There seem to be a couple legs missing on the far side; perhaps there were some amputations in the intervening period between the first and second installments? Or maybe it’s just the angle. Yikes , this is not good: “Law enforcement officials confirm … Stahl’s wife filed a missing person’s report with the L.A.P.D. on Monday … saying she last saw the 32-year-old actor on May 9. [… I]t is believed Stahl had been frequenting the Skid Row area of Downtown Los Angeles recently … and there are concerns he may have gotten himself involved in some bad stuff. Back in February, Nick’s wife had filed court papers, expressing serious concerns that Nick may be using drugs … and sources say she fears drugs may have something to do with his disappearance.” [ TMZ ]
