Reality TV fame is more lucrative than ever. It used to be that the stars of popular series enjoyed their 15 minutes of fame and then returned to obscurity — which probably meant returning to a 9 to 5 gig. These days, however, shows run longer than ever, and the most popular cast members amass millions of social media followers. This opens up a whole new revenue stream, as sponsored content on Instagram can yield big bucks for certain stars. No one has proven more adept at capitalizing on reality fame than Kailyn Lowry, and now, the longtime Teen Mom 2 staple is defending her turf against what she sees as a greedy newcomer. Take a look: 1. Cash Queen All of the stars of the Teen Mom franchise have capitalized on secondary income sources, but no one has done so as effectively as Kail. 2. Many Hats In addition to being a mother of three and a reality star, Kail is a bestselling author, a beauty mogul, and a podcast host. 3. Going Off On the latest episode of her popular Coffee Convos podcast, Kail went off on Lauren Comeau, the current girlfriend of her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin. 4. Change of Heart Lauren initially indicated that she would not be appearing on Teen Mom 2, but she has since filmed scenes for several episodes. 5. Staying the Course Like her TM2 predecessors, Lauren has amassed a huge following on Instagram, and she’s now cashing in on her popularity by posting sponsored content. 6. Jenelle Evans is out. And Jade Cline is in. MTV has formally announced Cline as a new cast member on Teen Mom 2, doing so by having her sit and chat with a number of veteran network stars. How did she find out about this role? What sort of drama will she be stirring up? The new addition sat with veterans Catelynn, Tyler and Kailyn to discuss these questions and many more on the Teen Mom 2 reunion special that aired on June 3. During a unique segment, she actually chatted with these stars as part of Kailyn's Coffee Convos podcast, a portion of which was recorded by MTV and we've featured here. During the interview, Cline said she was kept in the dark for awhile in regard to her status on Teen Mom 2… … until her old producer from Young and Pregnant dropped the awesome bombshell right in her lap. “They said, ‘We love you, we love your story so much, we want you to be on ‘Teen Mom 2’ and I was like, I didn’t know what to say. I was like, ‘I feel so wanted and popular!’” Jade explained, adding: “The show has been on so long that I can’t believe they would want me on a show that’s been on for like 10 years with the same people.” One of those people, of course, is now a goner. Evans is off fighting for custody of her kids, not talking about storylines for next season. Cline, meanwhile, ought to bring a whole lot to the table: Her father committed suicide when she was very young. Her mom has been arrested for drug use and possession. Cline was removed by Child Protection Services as a teenager and has been living on her own since the age of 16. “I’ve been out of my parents’ house since I was 16 years old,” she says in this footage. “I’ve been on my own for six or seven years, so I feel like I didn’t vibe with anyone or talk with [the Young and Pregnant cast members] as much just because I was just somewhere else mentally.” As we said, Jade's biological father is dead — and her stepfather is basically dead to her . “Both of my parents were just incarcerated this last week,” she shared with Kailyn and her co-host Lindsie Chrisley. “They've been strung out for so long. It is official: Jenelle Evans is out. And Jade Cline. Several weeks ago, MTV confirmed that it had parted ways with Evans after her husband shot and murdered their family dog and the network finally grew too sick and tired of Jenelle's many antics and general awful behavior. Then, on the final installment of this season's Teen Mom 2 reunion , producers went ahead and formally announced her replacement. What can we expect from Jade Cline? What do we know about her? Cline was introduced to MTV viewers via a recorded podcast segment with Kailyn Lowry and her Coffee Convos co-host Lindsie Chrisley, alongside Teen Mom OG stars Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell. She was asked for her reaction upon being told she was taken over for Evans. 2. So Much Confusion “I didn’t know” what was going on at first,” Jade explained on air. “My producer, they’re all saying that they have to tell me something. And no one is telling me anything so for weeks I’m like, ‘What the f-ck is going on?’ “I’m at school, and all of sudden, all the cameras are on and they’re with my producer– and, on ‘Young and Pregnant’ they never break that wall, and I was like ‘What’s going on? I’m gonna poop, I’m scared!’” 3. She’s Still Nervous “I was nervous, I had a little mini panic attack before I came,” said Jade, who is pictured above with her young daughter, Kloie. “I can’t believe they would want me on this show that’s been on for 10 years.” 4. An Independent Woman “I’ve always taken care of myself, since I was younger,” Jade said of herself on the special. “CPS took me away from my parents when I was 16 years old. I’ve been taking care of myself since then, so I feel so much older. I feel like I didn’t vibe with a lot of them.” 6. She Didn’t Really Befriend Any of the Gals on Young and Pregnant “They’re only a couple years younger than me, but I feel like mentally, they were just in a different spot,” she said. “I know a lot of them live with their parents; I’ve been out of my parents’ house since I was 16 years old. Over the years, Teen Mom 2 viewers have watched Kailyn Lowry endure many romantic ups and downs. Many have reveled in pointing out to Kail that some of her relationship problems are self-created, as she seems to repeat the same mistakes. But it seems the haters were wasting their breath all along — Kail is very much aware that she has toom for improvement in the decision making department. On the latest episode of her Coffee Convos podcast, Kail spoke with therapist and relationship expert Kati Morton, and the MTV star offered some surprisingly candid and self-aware comments about her dating history: “I don’t want to be in a good, healthy relationship and then ultimately leave them or treat them like s–t to go back to the same person, so I’m scared,” Kail said. “Why is that? Why?” Lowry wondered. “Because it’s familiar,” the therapist offered. Kail considered this and offered the following self-assessment: “Anytime I’ve dated someone that was healthy, I was like…” Morton interjected, “It’s boring,” and Kail agreed. “I don’t know how to accept the nice things that they do, so it made me very uncomfortable…how do I even accept this or say thank you?” Lowry asked. “It’s like I have to talk myself into wanting it.” Obviously, this is far more astute analysis than we’re accustomed to hearing from reality stars. But given how fast she was forced to grow, the 27-year-old Lowry has had a lot of time to relfect on her mistakes. Kail got divorced from Javi Marroquin back in 2015, and while she has yet to make another trip down the aisle, she’d be the first to admit that she’s repeated some of the same mistakes. Lowry’s relationship with Chris Lopez led to the birth of her third child — but it also led to a good deal of heartbreak. And Morton offered Lowry some sage advice on how to continiue looking for love without inviting so much pain. “I would just encourage you to go on a few dates,” she said. “You’re not dating one person…you can slowly get to know them, so you’re not on this like ride all the time.” Kail seemed to agree that casual dating would be the healthiest option for her at this point, but she also admitted she enjoys the tumult of a passionate affair, stating, “I kind of like the ride.” “You can have fun rides that are healthy,” Morton said. “I really would like you to be bored in your next relationship…and then find excitement in other ways.” Good advice for anyone who’s grown tired of constant drama.

The final season of the hit series has been met with mixed criticism and extreme petitioning due to the writing of their favorite characters. Along with that came some visual blunders that couldn’t be missed. Take the finale last night, where two bottles of King’s Landing Spring Water found underneath the chairs of the Seven Kingdoms officials. Attentive fans that discovered the infamous coffee cup in the fourth episode of the show saw a water bottle at Samwell Tarly’s feet, which can be found at the 46-minute mark. It is yet to be determined if HBO will respond to the botch the way they did for the coffee cup. Frustrated fans of the season are looking to use this moment to bury the writers (showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff ) for their “lack of attention to detail” and wanting to get the show over with. Amber Portwood appeared on Kailyn Lowry’s Coffee Convos podcast this week, and folks — what a convo it was. If you’re a fan of the franchise, then you’re probably aware that Amber lives her life in a constant state of seething rage. Portwood has served time for assault , and you might think that would be enough to convince her to get her temper in check. But Amber doesn’t seem to have much concern for consequences. And as a result, her convo with Kail was quite a doozy. Naturally, Portwood’s feud with Jenelle Evans was a major topic of conversation, but the interview was fascinating for reasons that went beyond Amber’s rage. In short, Amber Portwood might be the single most delusional person working in reality television today, which is really saying something. Things got off to a rollicking start when Amber revealed that she was driven to rage by the sight of Jenelle burning the haircare products that Kail had sent her as a peace offering. “I was seeing all the stuff she’s saying about you [Kail] and burning your stuff,” Portwood began. “I went after her, I couldn’t understand in my mind how certain things transpired…it just really hit something with me. “I wasn’t really trying to attack her…even though I did attack her.” Amber Portwood Goes Off on David Eason Amber is referring to the video above, in which she absolutely went off on Jenelle. Asked about David Eason’s obvious psychosis, Amber had this to say: “I think they just want attention…I think when David does certain things he can get pretty crazy,” she said. “I just think if he changed maybe drinking habits or something, he could probably calm down a little bit.” Portwood went on to reveal that the final message she sent Jenelle before being blocked was “really sweet” … but it was too little, too late. From there, Portwood went on to talk about all the celebrities who tried to woo her following her breakup from Matt Baier. Seriously. “I had already had a few [guys] trying to do that,” Amber said. “Once you get single on the show…it’s like…there were some A-listers flashing money [trying to hit me up]…I’m not going to say their names, but I thought it was kind of corny and ignorant. You know who you are, I just thought it was really corny.” She went on to spill the tea about the early days of her relationship with Andrew Glennon. “With Matt, it took six months to meet him. I feel like when someone’s in the industry I’m more comfortable with meeting them because hopefully, they’re not psychotic,” Amber said of Andrew. “I was comfortable and we hit it off.” Yes, Amber Portwood — the ex-con reality star who resides in rural Indiana — really played the “I can’t date anyone who’s not in the industry” card. Amber went to say that she would marry Glennon “in a heartbeat” — if he asked. From there, things really got ridiculous, as Amber bemoaned the fact that she has yet to receive an Emmy — for her work on Teen Mom OG. “The Teen Mom franchise, in general, we should have Emmys,” Amber said. “We should be recognized more for what we have done. I think the focus on the negativity is ridiculous. I think there should be a little more focus on the good things we have done. I think with the ‘Teen Mom’ franchise, they should look at us a bit differently. “We’ve been through things in our lives that real people have went through. They need to look at it that way, instead of just drama, drama, drama.” She added: “I demand that respect after doing this for such a long time, as any of us should,” Pro tip: People who are widely respected spend about 0 percent of their time pounding their fists on the table and demanding respect. It’s just not the way the world works. You’re not gonna learn a whole lot about the best way to live your life by observing Amber Portwood or Jenelle Evans. But there’s at least one important lesson you can learn from their example: If you find yourself in a position where you constantly feel the need to voice your demand for respect, you’re doing something wrong.

Steve King Stripped Of House Committee Seats After Racist Remarks You GOTTA be a flaming racist if even the Republicans are kicking you out of their lil’ conservative clubhouse. According to The Washington Post , Rep. Steve King of Iowa was unanimously voted out of his three seats on prestigious House committees Monday afternoon after making yet another extremely racist remark. King has a long history of making comments that earned him the title of bigot, we reported on his most recent racist rhetoric last week when he questioned why white supremacy was such a bad thing. Yes, a man who white people voted into office to govern the United States of America doesn’t see why people are so offended by a lil’ white supremacy. Doesn’t everyone like a lil’ white supremacy in their coffee? No? Just Steve King and 53% of white women? Got it. Sure, maybe some of the GOPers aren’t cool with King’s comments, but he’s literally been saying these things for YEARS. This smells more like damage control for the 2020 election more than righteous indignation toward the fellow red state racist. “That is not the party of Lincoln,” he said of King’s comments. “It is definitely not American. All people are created equal in America, and we want to take a very strong stance about that.” Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California offered this rebuke: “That is not the party of Lincoln,” he said of King’s comments. “It is definitely not American. Mostly their downs, really, especially since Jenelle told the world that Kailyn was pregnant with her third child before her fellow Teen Mom 2 star wanted to break the news. Ever since then, there's been an endless stream of back-and-forth between the MTV personalities — but the feud may have hit its nadir a few weeks ago when Evans burned a bunch of hair products Lowry sent her way as a peace offering. In the past two months, David Eason (allegedly) assaulted his wife , threatened to assassinate the president, and filmed himself doing intentional damage to a vehicle owned by an elderly handicapped man. Eason has sucked since the day we met him, but he's really been outdoing himself lately. And of course, all the while, he's been his usual a-hole self on social media, spewing bigotry and fighting with everyone from Teen Mom 2 fans to his own sister. Many times over the course of his breakdowns, David has focused his seething rage on Kailyn Lowry . But apparently, he forgot that Kail is a worthy opponent. Take a look: 1. Ready For Battle David is a bully who usually prefers punching down. But Eason has often made the mistake of attacking Kail, who’s way above his level. 2. Forgive the most obvious pun in the history of writing, but it simply must be done. And here it goes: Mike Sorrentino officially finds himself in a bad situation. As sorry as we are for going there, we’re guessing this Jersey Shore mainstay is even more sorry at the moment for having not paid his taxes back in the day. He has been sentenced to eight months in jail as a result. The MTV personality and his brother Marc were indicted in September 2014. Then, in January of this year, they pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion and actually faced a five-year prison sentence. (Marc was sentenced to 24 months in prison on Friday.) Fast forward seven days to this morning and The Situation was accompanied to the courthouse by fiancee Lauren Pesce. All the familiar Jersey Shore names — Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Cortese, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino, Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Angelina Pivarnick — were all spotted on the scene as well. So Sorrentino at least had plenty of support when he learned his fate. On top of the eight-month prison sentence, Mike must also complete 500 hours of community service and was given $123,913 in restitution already paid, plus a fine of $10,000 that must be paid within 30 days. The day before the sentencing, Snooki told Us Weekly that the cast was “hoping for the best,” adding of The Situation: “He’s just such a good person. He changed for the better. He’s a totally different person. He doesn’t deserve this right now, but obviously you gotta get that done.” Sorrentio and Pesce are allegedly planning a prison wedding at some point within the next year, as Mike tries to give himself something positive to look forward to in light of this news. In pre-sentencing memos obtained by the Associated Press yesterday, Sorrentino’s lawyer argued he should receive probation, stating that the MTV star played a minimal role in the supposed financial conspiracy … … and has worked diligently to overcome substance abuse in the time since his arrest. Conversely, prosecutors asked for a jail sentence of 14 months, arguing that such time would send the message that “tax fraud will be met with real punishment.” They also noted that Sorrentino’s substance addiction didn’t stop him from structuring cash deposits to avoid government scrutiny. Sorrentino has been to rehab on two occasions to try and overcome this addiction. Earlier this year, he told People Magazine that he has “worked so hard to turn my life around and be the best person I can be,” adding the following of appearing on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 2. “I had a very strong foundation for my recovery with over two years [sober] when I entered the house. “But I did have to challenge myself to go out and film a whole season of Jersey Shore and have fun without alcohol — to show the youth out there that it is possible.” The Situation’s status for Season 3 of this reality show revival is unknown right now. But it isn’t looking good.
