The fashion crowd headed uptown to honor people and organizations making a difference in Harlem and beyond. Reality star Yandy Smith-Harris , fashion entrepreneur Misa Hylton and musician and playwright Vy Higginsen were among the honorees Sept. 15 at the Harlem Fashion Week Opening Night Charity Gala at the Museum of the City of New York. A California woman has come forward to claim at $522 million jackpot from a winning Mega Millions ticket that she bought back in June of this year according to San Diego Union-Tribune . Laarni Bibal purchased ONE $2 Mega Millions quick-pick ticket from Sorrento Deli-Mart in San Diego and hid the ticket until she was ready to claim the cash. This woman sat on half a billion dollars for months before coming forward to claim her life-changing bag. She say she consulted the “Lottery Winner’s Handbook” on how to deal with her soon-to-be newfound wealth. We can’t IMAGINE living regular life for all that time knowing that them M’s are sitting in a “secret hiding place”. Bibal chose the cash option and was paid $340 million after taxes. She plans to buy a house and pay off her bills, but with that kind of money, we’re sure she’s gonna do a lot more than that.

Congrats! FX Renews ‘Atlanta’ & ‘Snowfall’ For Season 4

Donald Glover’s “Atlanta ” will return for season 4, as well as the late John Singleton’s “FX.” The news comes as production has yet to begin on “Atlanta” season 3. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski,  Draymond Green  and the Warriors have agreed to a four-year, $100 million maximum contract extension. With free agency looming next summer, three-time All-Star Draymond Green has agreed to a four-year, $100M maximum contract extension with Golden State, agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports tells ESPN. — Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) August 3, 2019 Prior to the big news, Green was set to hit the free agency market next summer–but if that were to happen, he would be highly sought after. The three-time All-Star is considered to be the anchor that kept the Warriors steady during their five-year finals run. So, to prevent losing such a pivotal piece of their franchise, the Warriors decided to extend Draymond the biggest offer that they could. Just last month, the Warriors and Klay Thompson agreed to a five-year, $190 million contract during this summer’s free agency. Even though Green received the most money he could at this point in his career, if he had waited until free agency, he would’ve been able to seek out a bigger contract from the Warriors or another franchise. The choice he made–to not even consider another option–proves that star players like Steph Curry, Klay, and Draymond are looking to continue building something special as a unit. The couple welcomed their first child together on Friday, July 26, Us Weekly confirmed . A source told the mag that the 33-year-old makeup artist gave birth to a baby girl last night. Kendrick is known for being quiet about his private life, so it’s really no surprise that he didn’t announce his high school sweetheart’s pregnancy ahead of their daughter’s arrival. Even though he doesn’t give the public much info about what’s going on back at home, the Pulitzer Prize winner did acknowledge his was engagement while promoting To Pimp a Butterfly on The Breakfast Club back in April of 2015. “At the end of the day, you want to always, always have real people around you, period. Whether it’s male or female, and everybody that’s been around me, they’ve been around since day one,” Kendrick said when being asked about Alford. “I always show respect when respect has been given, and people that have been by your side, you’re supposed to honor that.” The couple met while attending Centennial High School in Compton, California and have been together ever since. Fans noticed a few months ago that this 2 year stretch has been the longest we’ve gone without a new Kendrick Lamar album since his debut–but it looks like this new bundle of joy could be part of the reason why. After touring for what seems like forever following the release of DAMN , Kung Fu Kenny definitely deserves a break and some time off with family. Big congrats to the new parents!

‘Avengers: Endgame’ Has Officially Dethroned ‘Avatar’ As The Highest-Grossing Film Of All Time

Source: Steve Granitz / Getty Avengers: Endgame Is The Highest Grossing Movie Ever After 9 years of holding the title as the world’s highest grossing film ever, James Cameron’s Avatar has been dethroned by Avengers: Endgame . As of Saturday, July 20,  the fourth installment in the Avengers franchise had raked in $2.7892 billion at the global box office, which is just about $500,000 shy of Avatar ‘s $2.7897 billion record. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced the big news during San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, confirming that Endgame would close the $500K gap by Sunday. “Thanks to you,  Avengers: Endgame is the biggest film of all-time,” he announced during Marvel’s highly-anticipated Hall H panel. Since the film’s initial release back in April, Endgame has broken multiple records, including the fastest film to hit $100 million at the box office, the highest-grossing opening day in history, and the first film to earn $1 billion in an opening weekend. But in order to assure their status as the number one film of all time, the Avengers movie received a boost when it was re-released in theaters with a little extra footage back in June–which is what eventually set Endgame over the top. The directors of the film, Joe and Anthony Russo, issued a thank you to fans on Twitter after the news broke yesterday.
