Model Dennis Brown II proposed to his girlfriend Atara Dallas on November 28 and did it in a way that may not ever be topped. He got down on one knee and proposed but opened a heart shaped box with six diamond engagement rings inside. He wrote on Instagram, “I didn’t win #6 rings like Michael Jordan but I won at life with her so she deserves #6 rings to choose from.” Of course Brown did some HEAVY organization in order to pull off his proposal from a photographer, videographer, props designer, florist, makeup artist, hairdresser, drapery expert, assistants, stylists, and more. To go along with the extravagant wedding rings, there was a giant message written and posted on the wall behind them. “Today, on your special day I had the pleasure of putting a smile on your face all day. For there is no greater gift that I could think to give you. “A woman, whose heart is full of love and devotion to me, a woman whose loyalty to all those she loves stands unmatched, a woman whose generosity and willingness to help others around her flourish knows no depths.” Too sweet! Source: Splash News / SplashNews.com / Splash News Amber Guyger Indicted For Murder In Botham Jean Shooting The former Dallas officer who gunned down Botham Jean in his own apartment has been indicted. CBS 11 reports that a grand jury has indicted Amber Guyger for murder in the September 6 shooting death. As previously reported Dallas Police Chief U. Renee Hall had already terminated her for “engaging in adverse conduct” when she was charged with manslaughter. This comes after local D.A. John Creuzot said he wanted Guyger to be charged with murder instead of manslaughter. Local media outlets have requested copies of the 911 call Guyger made after the shooting. So far the Dallas PD has declined to provide the call and sent the open records requests to the attorney general for final determination. This is a big win—for now. Let’s see how things go when the trial starts.

Nikki ditched the crew and went back to Hollywood because she was over the drama. Paris, Bridget Kelly, Teairra, La’Britney and messy Brooke end up on a boat tour, but Moniece is nowhere to be found. Moniece isn’t really vibing with Brooke and she also isn’t vibing with Teairra. Speaking of the latter, the core of the episode is about questioning Teairra Mari and the validity of her sex tape claims because there’s something really fishy going on, but hold that thought. Back in the US, we find Apple working on her relationship with her formerly absent father. Apple asks him for advice about working with Shun Love. Why? Who knows, but anyway, Papa Apple seems mighty interested in what Apple is doing the minute she mentions that she is considering signing a contract with Shun Love. He all of a sudden wants to play the overprotective role 20 or 30-something years later, and claims he wants to talk to Shun before she signs anything to secure his own bag “protect her.” Apple emphatically tells her father not to say anything to Shun and that she’ll get a lawyer (aka a professional) to address her concerns if necessary, but for now, she has to worry about her other problems, like the fact that she has to go to jail for 30 days. However, we all know what show this is so we all know that Papa Apple decides to go see Shun Love anyway. Let’s cut to that moment for a hot second because Shun Love smells the BS just like we do. She calls him out on being a deadbeat who is all of a sudden interested in his daughter’s life when cameras are around and opportunities are popping up. He tries horribly to defend himself by saying that he wasn’t there because he’s not even sure if Apple is his kid. He didn’t really mention that to Apple though, and that is going to be a huge problem when Apple finds out. Shun love instructs Papa Apple to handle that business before trying to butt into other business where he doesn’t belong. Next, Moniece and Brooke end up at Bridget Kelly’s photo shoot. Surprisingly, Brooke actually manages to stay on the sidelines so BK’s photoshoot goes well. Eventually, Brooke and Moniece discuss the night that Brooke bogarted Moniece’s studio session. Brooke reiterates that she thought Moniece was faking passing out and even tells Moniece that she jacked her song. Moniece said that she had switched doses of some medication and it messed her up and surprisingly tells Brooke to take the song and flourish. Brooke was dead wrong for taking Moniece’s song, but if Moniece isn’t mad then… I guess. Moniece and Teairra Mari decide to end their friendship over lunch with the girls. Basically, TT is upset over some he-said, she-said stuff based on something K. Michelle said to another friend of Moniece’s about TT and the sex tape, and questioning Teairra’s veracity over the fact that she was a victim. Hold that thought. Back in the US, Brooke goes to Akbar to be messy and conveniently brings up TT. According to Brooke, TT said that Akbar is dead to her. But according to Akbar, he and TT are still in communication with each other despite the fact that her lawyers told her not to. They’ve still been having sex and even that was allegedly filmed, and TT even flew to Dallas to see him. TT also told him she would drop the case and get rid of the lawsuit if he gets rid of his women, but he won’t. Akbar also sends her proof of their dalliances. Brooke meets up with K. Michelle and Moniece and they start talking about TT’s sex tape situation again, and this is when Brooke pulls up video Akbar sent of himself dropping Teairra off at the airport. Obviously, this looks bad for TT. The episode ends with Paris tossing water on K. Michelle because they can’t let go of their situation. You know, K Michelle says Paris is a thief for using her card without permission. Paris says she took Ubers on K. Michelle’s card because K. Michelle put the app on her phone since she was K’s assistant, and they both refuse to let it go even though they said they were going to let it go and move forward several episodes ago. You know they had to leave us hanging with the Teairra Mari sex tape stuff, but next week is when the big confrontation goes down. We all want to know what’s up with that! T he conservative-leaning Rasmussen Reports claimed that 35 percent of African-Americans approve of President Donald Trump ‘s job performance. Through this survey, the politically biased pollster is supporting Trump’s myth that he’s done a lot for Black people. See Also: Canceled! Millennials Pick Obama As Best President Over Trash-Talking Trump In a report released on Friday, Rasmussen placed Trump’s overall approval rating at 51 percent among likely voters. “This is Trump’s highest Presidential Approval Index rating since early March of last year, shortly after he first took office,” Rasmussen stated. One day earlier, Rasmussen tweeted about the suspiciously high level of Black voter support for the president. The Washington Post called that claim “far-fetched,” given the president’s long history of racial insensitivity. The newspaper pointed out that Gallup surveys have consistently polled African-American approval of Trump at around 10 percent through 2018. This new poll comes as Trump tries to rally his base and help the GOP scrape together as many Black votes as possible to hold on to Congress. At rallies, Trump has been trying to convince people that he’s accomplished great things for African-Americans in his two years in office. Among his claims is that Black median income has reached a high point under his administration. That’s not true, according to the Associated Press . Census Bureau data shows that the median income in 2017 for an African-American household was $40,258. That’s below a 2000 peak of $42,348 and also statistically no better than 2016, which was President Barack Obama ’s last year in office, the AP said. It’s no surprise that Rasmussen appears to help Trump promote the myth of Black support, given its connection with the GOP . To achieve its ends, Rasmussen Reports uses research techniques that make its polls favor Republicans, Ipsos Public Affairs research director Mallory Newall told The Hill . O n Friday, we saw something that rarely happens. A police officer was found guilty of second degree murder for killing a Black teenager. However, and this shouldn’t be a shocker, the police union and the National Black Police Association see the conviction differently. RELATED: Jason Van Dyke Cries Fake Tears As His Testimony Contradicts LaQuan McDonald Video Evidence Jason Van Dyke killed 17-year-old Laquan McDonald on October 20, 2014 in Chicago, Illinois. He was found guilty of second degree murder and 16 different counts of aggravated battery (one for each bullet). Of course, the police union blasted the conviction. According to The Chicago Sun Times, the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police said in a statement, “This is a day I never thought I’d see in America, where 12 ordinary citizens were duped into saving the asses of self-serving politicians at the expense of a dedicated public servant.” The statement continued, “This sham trial and shameful verdict is a message to every law enforcement officer in America that it’s not the perpetrator in front of you that you need to worry about, it’s the political operatives stabbing you in the back. What cop would still want to be proactive fighting crime after this disgusting charade, and are law abiding citizens ready to pay the price?” Van Dyke fired at McDonald 16 times within 14 seconds and the video clearly showed he was walking away—nonetheless, the police union clearly did not want the officer to be held accountable. On the other hand, the National Black Police Association released a powerful statement, which read in part, “We cannot demand a criminal justice system that calls for the accountability of citizens, but not police officers. We cannot demand to be held at a higher standard only when it benefits us. We cannot demand that we be seen as human if those we are sworn to protect and serve are not seen as human too. Laquan McDonald was a citizen deserving our protection, even in the midst of his human frailties; he was only 17-years old, he had a family, and he was loved.” How sad that police union’s statement made no mention of the victim. D onna Alexander was an entrepreneur who also appeared on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Dallas.” Sadly, on September 24 she died at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, after reportedly being attacked by her ex-boyfriend. SEE ALSO: Texas Cop Shoots Unarmed Black Man For Entering His Own Truck On September 21, Alexander was attacked by her ex, Nathaniel Mitchell, 34, at her home in Grand Prairie. Dallas News reports, “Mitchell, who took Alexander to the hospital, gave staff a story they found to be inconsistent with her injuries, officer Mark Beseda said. Officers interviewed Mitchell and arrested him at the hospital on outstanding warrants.” She had severe head injuries and passed away three days later. Mitchell was originally charged with aggravated assault, but the charge was upgraded to murder when Alexander died. He is being held in Tarrant County Corrections Center on $250,000 bail. Alexander was a mother of two and appeared on “Real Housewives of Dallas.” She also received national attention for creating the Anger Room in 2011, a space that allowed people to break things to relieve stress. Alexander told the Dallas News about the Anger Room, “I always wanted to be able to relate to what people are angry about. Most people have stress from work or home-related issues.” She was also an advocate against domestic violence. Her friend, Delores Hodge, said about Alexander, “For it to be that she expired the same way for something that she was advocating against. T he white Chicago ex-police officer who killed LaQuan McDonald , a Black teen, in a hail of 16 bullets is not a racist, according to the former cop’s African-American in-law. He’s speaking out for the first time on behalf of Jason Van Dyke , who’s standing trial in a Cook County courtroom for the first-degree murder of McDonald. It appears to many observers that his statement is a sign of desperation. Although I’m an only child, this guy has become my brother, the only one I’ve ever had,” said 35-year-old Thompson, who also called Van Dyke his “best friend.” Still, it’s hard for many to understand some other explanation for Van Dyke’s indifference to shooting the Black teenager 16 times—continuing to fire even while he was on the ground dying. The video and the circumstances surrounding its release ignited massive angry protests. Chicago Police Department officials faced allegations of covering up the shooting, with its account contradicting what dashboard camera video showed—McDonald trying to walk away from Van Dyke when the cop opened fire. “When Jay was first charged four years ago, I did not believe for one second this was a racial incident. No how. No way. I never believed this was about color. I never believed what happened was motivated by racism because Jay is not that kind of guy,” Thompson said. But Thompson’s comments didn’t seem to persuade folks who shared their thoughts on social media. Why did he need to be shot 16 times?I mean, once he's down, what's really the point.
