Hi Haters: The Dixie Chicks Clap Back At The CMAs For Scrubbing Social Media Of Beyoncé

Hi haters! The Dixie Chicks Defend Beyoncé After Their Country Music Awards Performance Remember when we told you that racists were steaming mad at the Country Music Awards for letting Beyoncé grace the stage ??? Well her fellow CMA performers The Dixie Chicks are none too pleased by the social media backlash Baddie Bey’s gotten and they’re defending her. “If we all turn this up really loud, together we can drown out the hate,” they captioned a link to the CD quality version of their Beyoncé collab. Adding fuel to the fire surrounding their performance, the Country Music Awards deleted ALL social media posts and references of Bey onstage. Why? Because of the overwhelmingly racist comments and because they “were concerned” about the Dixie Chicks’ support of the Black Lives Matter movement. TMZ reports: Sources directly connected with the CMAs tell TMZ, the honchos folded to fans who posted racist and other harsh comments. We’re told the honchos were especially concerned about the reaction to Beyonce’s support and the support of the Dixie Chicks to the Black Lives Matter movement. Some of the comments included, “That’s right folks. Beyonce performed at the CMAs last night & is on a mission to take country music away from us, hardworking white people!” And, “Beyonce overrated racist n***er bitch.” In addition to its website, the CMAs have scrubbed the women from all social media platforms. We’re told the CMA people “just want this to go away” and feel it was probably a mistake to invite the 4 women in the first place. Wowwwwww, can you believe they were worried about BLM in this whole debacle??? The Dixie Chicks are now clapping back at the CMAs erasure. Hit the flip to see what they said.

Tim McGraw to Headline Sandy Hook Benefit Concert, Gun Advocates Up in Arms

Country music superstar Tim McGraw will headline July concert to benefit Sandy Hook Promise, a group that seeks to protect children from gun violence. Surprisingly, or perhaps not, this announcement resulted in serious backlash from gun advocates calling McGraw a hypocrite and a whole lot worse. Among the critics was fellow country music star Travis Tritt, who tweeted his disdain for McGraw’s concert, and he was far from alone in that sentiment. The blog Bearing Arms, for its part, reported the story with the headline “Tim McGraw Poised to Dixie Chick Himself With Gun Control Benefit Concert.” McGraw “seems poised to make a similar, potentially career-ending move,” the blog argued, referencing the Dixie Chicks’ Iraq War controversy of 2003. Lead singer Natalie Maines unabashedly slammed President George W. Bush over that military initiative, and the group’s popularity slowly declined. Coincidence? Natural progression of a pop country girl group peaking around then anyway? Perhaps, but many have linked McGraw’s and Maines’ comments. Meanwhile, McGraw responded that he supports gun ownership, but added, “I also believe that with gun ownership comes the responsibility of education and safety.” Most certainly, the 47-year-old husband of Faith Hill said, “when it relates to what we value most, our children … I can’t imagine anyone who disagrees with that.” In his announcement, McGraw said, “Out of this tragedy a group was formed that made a promise to honor the lives lost and turn it into a moment of transformation.” “Sandy Hook Promise teaches that we can do something to protect our children from gun violence. I want to be a part of that promise – as a father and as a friend.” View Slideshow: Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Photos: Through the Years Unlike McGraw, Billy Currington, who would have been the opening act for the July concert, succumbed to the pressure and bowed out of the concert. Writing on his Facebook page, Currington said he would donate to a local organization, but “I’ve never been one to take on controversial issues – I’m a singer.” The Sandy Hook Promise group formed to honor the 20 children and six staff members gunned down in an elementary school in December 2012. Adam Lanza , 20 entered the Newtown, Conn., school and went on a rampage. He also killed his mother prior to the attack and committed suicide afterward. The incident is the deadliest school shooting in the U.S., yet little or no action was taken on the federal government level amid pressure from gun advocates. Gun control: Should regulations and laws be strengthened? YES. Fewer guns, fewer tragedies! NO. It’s unconstitutional and won’t stop anything! View Poll »

The Dixie Chicks "Wrecking Ball" Cover: AMAZING!

When Miley Cyrus isn’t busy smoking weed with Wiz Khalifa , she occasionally gets down to writing and recording music. And some of it is pretty good. The Dixie Chicks: Wrecking Ball Cover Take Miley’s hit “Wrecking Ball,” for example. The singer’s breakup ballad tore up the charts when it was released in August and now a country-fied cover version by the Dixie Chicks  is going viral and wowing YouTubers.  You may remember the Dixie Chicks, George W. Bush controversy from several years back, and while the band has been flying low on most folks’ radar since then, it seems they’re still drawing crowds and taking country music to interesting new places. Miley may be closer to the hip-hop world these days, but as the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, she’s no stranger to country. Maybe she’ll join the Chicks on stage at some and help them re-imagine “We Can’t Stop” or “Party In the USA.” Okay, probably not, but at least she know she’s got some fans amongst older musicians. Just a few months ago, Miley was best known for dropping jaws during the VMAs. Now, against all odds, she’s actually beginning to gain as much attention for her work as for tongue-wagging antics.

Ke$ha song pulled:“Die Young”topping

TMZ reports radio stations began pulling the song from playlists in order to avoid offending any listeners. Although Ke$sha may see the song as a celebration, most folks might be offended by the title alone. The website explained the last time a song dropped this drastically was when the Dixie Chicks were banned from country radio after coming out against President Bush. According to Entertainment Weekly, “Die Young” was topping the charts at number three when the Sandy Hook massacre occurred
