Apparently it was the 2014 Billboard Awards last night, which I think we were all expected to want to watch because they made Michael Jackson perform from beyond the grave via hologram. I passed, because I don’t believe in ghosts, but I might’ve actually watched the show if they’d mentioned the real selling point: that Kendall Jenner was going to show up and show off her sexy booty in a pair of tight pants. Michael Sam Reality Show on Hold, Rams Unhappy About Series

The Michael Sam reality show has been indefinitely placed on hold. The former Missouri defensive end and SEC Defensive Player of the Year became the first openly gay player drafted by the NFL this month. A few days ago, he announced that he had signed on for a series with OWN that would chronicle his journey to making the team. It was a move met with criticism by those who cited Sam himself as saying he wanted to be known as just a football player, not a gay football player – and how many seventh round draft picks star in reality shows? Now, following an admission by the St. Louis Rams that they were unaware of Sam’s deal with OWN prior to choosing him and were afraid he could become a “distraction,” Sam has pulled out of the series. “After today’s meeting with the Rams, we collectively feel it is best to postpone the project,” Sam’s agent said in a statement. “This will allow for Michael to have a total focus on football, and will ensure no distractions to his teammates. “Everybody involved remains committed to this project and understands its historical importance as well as its positive message.” Michael Sam Drafted by St. Louis Rams
