Madonna Fans Weigh In On MDNA

One fan says her latest album ‘proves once again that Madonna is still the Queen of Pop,’ while others prefer her previous works. By Kara Klenk Madonna Photo: Getty Images Over the past couple of months, fans have devoured any and all clips, stills and teases available during the lead-up to the Queen of Pop’s latest creation, and now, Madonna worshipers can finally get their hands on MDNA in its entirety. And seeing as it’s already the #1 album on iTunes, it seems that Madonna has done it again. Most seem generally pleased with Madge’s latest effort, deeming it “pop perfection.” For anyone who thinks that Madonna’s in danger abdicating her throne, @MDNABornQUEEN assured the Twittersphere that, ” MDNA proves once again that Madonna is still the Queen of Pop.” In terms of her competition, @zahidkatycat maintained that the album is “better than Lady Gaga’s Born This Way!” MDNA seems to be further proof that the 53-year-old mother of four has no plans to slow down, and fans have taken note. @LydiaT2 called her “ageless and an absolute DIVA.” Some fans say MDNA is her best album yet. ‏@fermares tweeted that it’s “somewhere in between the genius of Ray of Light and the innovation of Confessions. ” @robnmozangeles raved about the album and especially liked “the way she used multiple producer[s] to create a cohesive narrative of sound & emotion. Still the Queen!” Check out a track-by-track review of MDNA Others were supportive of the album but weren’t sure it was her best work. @MDNAMonster tweeted, “It’s amazing! But compared to her previous albums ( Hard Candy excluded) it’s kinda weak” and @iamjimmey wrote, “I love MDNA ! But I think she can do better!” Many fans truly believe Madonna is offering up something new and different with this album, but they all have their favorite, and least favorite, tracks. @tim__fitzgerald called “I’m Addicted” and “Gang Bang” his favorites, while @clau_dinha08 wrote, “I really love Girl Gone Wild right now, because that’s such a good beat!” @kakadre had trouble pinpointing one because “it’s all perfect” but listed “Gang Bang” and “Love Spent” as two tracks that stand out. @GimmeNick commented, “Her most vulnerable album, so innovative and the ultimate definition of art, every track is a 10/10- only low point is ‘B-Day Song’.” While MDNA has been plagued by leaks for months now, one fan, @whoneedsit, put it best by tweeting, “If you’re a true #MDNAFAN you get your ass out and buy it.” What do you think of MDNA ? Is it Madonna’s best work yet, or do you prefer her previous albums? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Madonna

Exclusive ‘Hunger Games’ Clip: Peeta’s Interview With Caesar

Don’t miss the ‘Hunger Games’ red-carpet premiere tonight at 8:30, streaming live from MTV News! By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Josh Hutcherson in “The Hunger Games” Photo: Lionsgate As the countdown to “The Hunger Games” grows shorter and shorter, fans have been craving as much of the tributes as they can possibly get. Luckily, we have a brand-new exclusive clip from the upcoming movie. Soon after they are chosen for the games, the tributes from District 12, Katniss ( Jennifer Lawrence ) and Peeta ( Josh Hutcherson ), go through the public relations wringer, including a broadcast interview with the eccentric TV personality Caesar Flickerman, played by a very blue-haired Stanley Tucci . In this exclusive clip, Peeta sits down to answer a few personal questions from Caesar before heading into the arena. Similarly, the cast and crew of “The Hunger Games” will have to face the judgments of the diehard fans of the book, when the film finally comes out on March 23. MTV News’ Josh Horowitz spoke with Lawrence about her reaction to seeing the finished film and how fans have treated her during the lead-up. “It was really good. It didn’t surprise me, which was good. During filming, I really liked everything what I was seeing. I liked everything that Gary was doing. Then I saw it, and it was all there,” Lawrence said. “It’s always hard for me watching because I think I am a horrible troll and I’ll never work again. Overall, I think everybody else in the movie is fantastic, and I think the film itself is really good.” Life has changed significantly for Lawrence since scoring the highly coveted role, not for the better in some cases. “I get photographers hiding in my bushes,” she said. “We’re way past autographs. We’re into being stalked and followed.” Other than the paparazzi, the response has been generally more positive for Lawrence. “Everyone’s been really nice fortunately. I mean, the movie’s not out yet, so we’ll see.” MTV News goes live from the “Hunger Games” red-carpet premiere tonight! Tune into our live stream from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. ET as Josh Horowitz catches up with the stars and asks fans’ burning questions! Related Videos MTV Rough Cut: Jennifer Lawrence

Conrad Murray Documentary to Air on MSNBC; Michael Jackson Estate, Fans Irate

As previously reported, MSNBC is planning to air a controversial documentary about Dr. Conrad Murray this weekend, and Michael Jackson’s estate is absolutely livid. The star’s executors issued a statement, saying, “Like so many of Michael’s fans, the Estate is disgusted by MSNBC’s irresponsible and inexplicable decision.” “Co-Executors John Branca and John McClain are sending a letter to executives at Comcast, NBC Universal and MSNBC to express disdain for their actions.” Jackson’s fans are understandably up in arms as well, with the group “Justice 4 MJ” trying to organize a global boycott of the documentary about Murray. “The only documentary we want to see is the one of Murray enjoying prison life,” they said . Murray was found guilty of manslaughter earlier this week. “Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship,” filmed during the lead-up to the trial, does not paint the late singer in a flattering light. Branca and McClean are irate that Murray has no qualms about “smearing the reputation of his ‘friend,'” even though he refused to testify under penalty of perjury in his trial, and at the network for giving him a platform. The co-executors doubt MSNBC’s claim that Murray got paid only $1 for his participation, claiming “moral loopholes” (such as those they’re reportedly using to try to lure Casey Anthony ) to “boost ratings at a struggling network.” Murray will be sentenced November 29.
