Update: Death Toll Rises To 14 Confirmed With Allegedly 60 People Still Missing And 200 Injured After Texas Fertilizer Plant Explosion

The death toll continues to rise in the aftermath of the Texas plant explosion… Death Toll Rises to 14 With 200 Injured After Texas Explosion Fourteen people have now been confirmed dead with 200 people injured after a fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas. Original reports cited the death toll between 5 and 15 with at least 160 people injured , with a previously unknown number of residents missing that has since been allegedly estimated at 60, although Texas government officials say the actual number of missing persons is still “confusing.” via NBC News While the death toll from a horrific fertilizer plant explosion was raised to 14 Friday, after two additional bodies were found, investigators later said that the number of people who were still missing had been overblown. Earlier Friday, Sen. John Cornyn said 60 people were still unaccounted for after one the worst American industrial accidents in recent years. But officials later said that the list of missing people that had been provided was “confusing.” Mayor Tommy Muska said there are “a lot of displaced people,” so the list is misleading. Most — if not all of those missing — have been found, officials said, adding that they still do not have an accurate count of those who are still missing. The explosion occurred just before 8 p.m. local time on Wednesday in West, Texas, which is north of Waco. The scene was described by witnesses as looking like a bombing site in a war zone. Approximately 200 people were injured and three rescue fire trucks were destroyed, Sgt. Jason Reyes Reyes said. Five volunteer firefighters and four emergency services workers are among the dead, officials said. It truly is both heartbreaking and heroic how so many emergency service workers risk their lives to save others only to end up among those who lost their lives.

Posthumous Baby Mama Drama: Nate Dogg’s Baby Mama Files Child Support Suit Against His Estate!

REALLY?!?!? According to TMZ reports : Bad time to ask Nate Dogg for child support … he’s dead. Janet, Randy And Rebbie Speak: “We Stand To Gain Nothing Financially. Executors Of Michael’s Estate Are Harming Our Mother And Michael’s Kids”

Janet’s Lawyer Says She And Siblings Stand To Gain Nothing Financially, Want Only To Keep Executor’s Of Michael Jackson’s Estate From Harming His Mother And Kids Despite brother Jermaine’s recent defection , Janet Jackson and her sister Rebbie and brother Randy continue to contest the validity of their brother’s will and released a statement late Friday. A lawyer for Janet Jackson made a statement on her behalf, along with Randy and Rebbie Jackson regarding all the recent hoopla between them and their late brother Michael’s estate: Since the loss of Michael, Janet, Randy and Rebbie’s principal concern has been and continues to be for the safety and wellbeing of Michael’s children, their mother Katherine Jackson, and the entire family. Unfortunately, those people have been harmed by the actions of the executors of Michael’s estate — John Branca and John McClain, the estate’s lawyer Howard Weitzman, and those installed and paid to do their bidding. The negative media campaign generated by the executors and their agents has been relentless. In recent weeks, the media has received preposterous reports — all now proven to be false — of a purported kidnapping of Katherine Jackson and of physical and verbal abuse of a child. The executors and their agents also recently issued a notice barring Janet, Randy and Rebbie from visiting their 82 year old mother and Michael’s children. The effect of that notice not only is to damage fundamental family relationships, it is also to isolate Katherine Jackson from anyone questioning the validity of Michael’s will. The actions of the executors and those working for them can only be understood in ligh of the questions abotu the will raised by Janet, Randy, and Rebbie. The executors have never explained how Michael could have signed his will in California on a date that irrefutable evidence establishes he was in New York. It is important to stress that Janet, Randy and Rebbie have questioned the validity fo the will with no financial motive whatesoever — they stand to gain nothing financially by a finding tha the will is invalid. That point is worth repeating — they stand to gain nothing financially by a finding that the will is invalid. Michael’s children will be the beneficiaries of Michael’s estate. What will be gained by a finding of invalidity is that the executors will be replaced and the estate and the guardianship will be managed in a manner that is in the best interests of the children, which is what Michael wanted. The individuals who have the most to lose by a finding that the will is invalid are, of course, the executors and those on the executors’ payroll. Janet, Randy and Rebbie will continue to press forward in their search for the truth in order to carry out the wishes of their brother Michael. Does what they’re saying make sense to you? Or do you think Randy’s still just trying to pay his baby mama back? Sorry, we couldn’t resist. But really tho, this isht is sad. All we want is the best for Katherine and Michael’s kids. We hope a judge can get to the bottom of these allegations so this family can heal and move on after mourning the loss of their loved one.

Does Vanessa get inducted into the ex-wife Hall of Fame for divorce settlements?? Not quite, but she still scored BIG! According to TMZ reports : Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa is the big winner in their divorce property settlement … TMZ has learned. Sources connected to the couple and with direct knowledge of the situation tell TMZ … the property settlement agreement is signed, sealed and delivered — a done deal. Vanessa is walking away with $75 million, which we’re told represents close to half of their total assets, estimated at around $150 million. TMZ previously reported several transfers of property earlier this year between Kobe and Vanessa. It turns out, based on the property settlement, Vanessa scored a clean sweep, snagging ALL THREE of the former couple’s mansions in the Newport Beach area. Vanessa gets the estate the couple was living in, the estate her mom is living in, and she gets the new estate that had been under construction for 2 years and was just completed. We were told Kobe was moving into the new estate, but that’s not true. It’s Vanessa’s crib, lock stock and barrel. Vanessa just scored 3 … where it counts. Michael Jackson Estate: What’s Next?

Post-Conrad Murray trial projects include Fan Fest in Las Vegas, Bad reissue and Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Immortal’ soundtrack. By Gil Kaufman Michael Jackson Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Michael Jackson has remained just as big a star in death as he was in life — if not bigger. Like Elvis, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra and Tupac Shakur before him, interest in all things Jackson spiked following the singer’s death and continues to be strong two years after his shocking passing on June 25, 2009. Jackson’s name has been in the news on a daily basis over the past month thanks to the involuntary manslaughter trial of his former physician, Dr. Conrad Murray , who was found guilty , the jury announced Monday. It’s not the kind of publicity the Jackson estate is looking for, but with the trial now over, the focus will likely turn to the next projects from the singer’s vaults. To date, the estate has been busy lining up one project after another, beginning with 2009’s This Is It, the documentary on Jackson’s planned comeback tour that grossed close to $200 million worldwide on its way to becoming the #2 music documentary of all time. That was followed by the release of Michael , a posthumous album with unreleased Jackson tracks that sold more than 500,000 copies, alongside more than 1 million units of the This Is It soundtrack . There were also 3 million units shifted of the Ubisoft video game “Michael Jackson: The Experience,” which helped rack up the more than $1 billion the estate has brought in since Jackson’s death through a combination of music sales, film/TV revenue, music publishing, licensing and a $31 million recording contract with Sony. Cirque du Soleil’s traveling MJ extravaganza, “Immortal,” made its American debut this month, boasting a soundtrack that features a number of mash-ups and reimaginings of the singer’s music, plus some previously unheard bits. The show’s soundtrack is slated to hit stores November 21. When the show hits Las Vegas in December, it will coincide with the annual Michael Jackson Fan Fest (December 3-14), the ritual gathering of the flock that this year will include a raft of never-before-seen memorabilia from the King of Pop. Among the items at the first-ever estate-authorized fest at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino are the actual gates of Neverland Ranch, Jackson’s personal book collection, the 1999 Rolls Royce Seraph limousine with 24-karat gold embellishments designed by the singer, the 10-foot-tall HIStory statue, the spaceship set from the “Scream” video, the throne from the Egyptian-themed “Remember the Time” clip and the tank from the “Earth Song” live performance. Also reportedly due soon is a repackaging of Jackson’s 1987 Bad album, which, like previous reissues, is expected to feature previously unearthed bonus material. The original album featured landmark songs such as the title track, “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You,” “The Way You Make Me Feel,” “Man in the Mirror,” “Smooth Criminal” and “Dirty Diana.” Given the amount of unreleased material that was reportedly left in the vaults at Jackson’s death, there is a strong possibility that another album of unheard tunes could be in the offing soon as well. Michael Jackson Estate Criticizes, Raises Doubts About Tribute Concert

If you’re confused as to how Michael Jackson’s Estate and his own family members can be fighting over a concert honoring his legacy … welcome to the unending saga of Michael Jackson, bizarre even after his death. The honchos in charge of the late singer’s estate are threatening the people behind the Michael Jackson Tribute concert, claiming the promoters are tarnishing Michael’s legacy and are possibly even ripping him off. Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Estate, fired off a letter to promoters of the concert – set for October 8 in Wales – expressing displeasure about many things. Chief among them? That KISS and Gene Simmons will be performing . As we know, Gene publicly accused MJ of being a child molester, a fact not lost on Weitzman, who writes in his letter to those in charge of the show: “It was extraordinarily embarrassing when no sooner than you announced this ‘news’ that he would participate that TMZ posted an item noting Mr. Simmons had called Michael Jackson – the man you are purportedly honoring – a child molester.” Weitzman also questions where the proceeds will be going. Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, and Leonard Rowe are behind the concert, and suffice it to say, they’ve always been quick to cash in on MJ’s name. Weitzman suggests promoters may be running afoul of the law using “intellectual property controlled by the Estate” – MJ images and his songs. A number of big name stars, such as Christina Aguilera, are set to perform at the show, while Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket will attend. We’ll see if it even takes place at this rate.
