Aly Raisman to Joe Jonas: Date Me!

Even McKayla Maroney might be impressed if Aly Raisman can pull this off… After winning the gold medal on the floor and a bronze medal on the balance beam at the London Olympics, this 18-year old gymnast read a Tweet from Joe Jonas that said she and her teammates were simply “incredible” to watch. Asked a few days ago about the shout-out, Raisman went ahead and gave the singer a shout-out of her own, one that might as well have included her phone number: “I’m excited to get to know him,” Raisman told Us Weekly . “I would go on a date with him.” Let’s totally make this happen! Can you imagine the talented children Joe and Aly would have together? They’d be playing the guitar while tumbling! Jonas, of course, previously dated Demi Lovato , so the bar is rather high for Raisman. But did you see her in London? She has few problems with bar, be they parallel or uneven. Of the experience as a whole, Raisman says: “It’s really exciting because a lot of hard work and dedication went into this. It feels nice that people know who I am… I didn’t’ realize how many people watched the Olympics!” [Photos: WENN.com]

Source: Chris Brown Faked BET Awards Tears

Chris Brown defenders are not gonna like this one bit. The singer received a lot of attention, both good and bad, for his tearful tribute to MJ at the BET Awards Sunday. As he sang “Man in the Mirror,” Chris broke down. The display of Brown channeling Michael Jackson and the lyrics hitting close to home united fans in support. Queen Latifah openly said Brown deserves forgiveness . Yet an insider tells Us Weekly today that it was fake. CROCODILE TEARS? The sincerity of Chris Brown’s display is debatable. Before he took the stage, a backstage source says one of Brown’s bodyguards gave the singer tear-inducing eye drops: “He rubbed it in and he started crying.” Brown’s rep denies it, telling Us that Brown simply “was moved by the opportunity to pay tribute to his idol.” But the witness says Brown definitely used drops . We may never know for sure, but it’s not the biggest stretch in the world. Was Brown’s tribute a blatant ploy for positive PR or a sincerely moving homage? You tell us: Chris Brown’s BET Awards performance was …

Michael Jackson Doctor Conrad Murray Won’t Make A Plea Deal

‘Plea bargains are for guilty people,’ Murray’s attorney, Ed Chernoff, says. By Mark Maurer Dr. Conrad Murray Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images The lawyer for Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray announced Friday (April 16) that there will be no plea bargain in his client’s involuntary-manslaughter case, according to The Associated Press. No matter what Deputy District Attorney David Walgren presents, attorney Ed Chernoff contends that “plea bargains are for guilty people.” Chernoff also expressed concerns about the jury remaining impartial in a case regarding a revered entertainer. Murray, a 57-year-old cardiologist, previously pleaded not guilty to the involuntary-manslaughter charges brought up against him in Jackson’s death. Murray gave the singer anesthetic propofol and other drugs, as indicated by the autopsy report. Murray’s bail was set at $75,000 bail, nearly triple the amount set for comparable crimes. Walgren is attempting to prove the doctor demonstrated gross negligence when he gave the singer propofol to help him sleep. More specific evidence might come to light at the June 14 preliminary hearing. Murray continues to declare his innocence, and Chernoff reasons that nothing that he gave Jackson “should have” resulted in death. “You may find after you are done watching the trial that it is not nearly as cut-and-dried as has been presented,” Chernoff told the AP. “One thing that simply will never be the truth is that Dr. Murray pumped a bunch of drugs into Michael Jackson and walked out of that room. He’s not that kind of guy.” Murray admitted to police that he administered those drugs to help Jackson sleep and subsequently left his bedside. Cell phone records reveal that Murray made at least three personal calls around that time. A Jackson employee who said he was present in the hospital room told police that Murray interrupted CPR to collect drug vials. Earlier this month, Los Angeles Judge Michael Pastor delayed the California State Attorney General’s Office’s motion to revoke Murray’s medical license until the June hearing. Members of Jackson’s family , including father Joe, mother Kathleen, sister Janet and brothers Randy and Jermaine, were in attendance. Events and new developments surrounding the singer’s sudden death have persisted for the past 10 months. Jackson died June 25 at the age of 50 in his rented Bel Air mansion mere days prior to a comeback tour in London. He had hired Murray to keep tabs on his health during the rehearsals. Michael Jackson Was Very Thin, Sickly Before Death, Autopsy Finds

At the time of his death, Jackson was suffering from multiple ailments and using half a dozen medications. By MTV News staff Michael Jackson Photo: Phil Klein/Reuters Following the filing Monday of an involuntary-manslaughter charge against Conrad Murray in connection with the death of Michael Jackson, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office released its full autopsy report on the King of Pop, according to multiple reports . The coroner concluded that Jackson died of “acute propofol intoxication” after Murray administered a dose of the powerful anesthetic sufficient for “major surgery.” Murray was using the drug to ease Jackson’s insomnia, but an expert cited in the autopsy said there were no reports about the use of propofol in insomnia relief. At no point was recommended equipment — from a controlled infusion pump for intravenous administration to monitoring machines — present in Jackson’s home when Murray gave the singer the tranquilizer. The report also contained detailed information about the state of Jackson’s body after his death at age 50. At the time of the autopsy, he weighed 136 pounds, was measured at 5-foot-9 in length and was described as “extremely underweight for his frame.” White patches of skin, the result of a pigmentation disorder called vitiligo, were present on his body, particularly his chest, abdomen, face and arms. The autopsy noted “frontal balding” on Jackson’s head and on a bandage on the tip of his nose. He had dark tattoos close to each eyebrow and one pink tattoo close to his lips. His body was covered with small scars on his nose, knee, shoulder, neck and wrists. The report concluded that at the time of his death, Jackson was suffering from “chronic lung inflammation, respiratory bronchiolitis, diffuse congestion and patchy hemorrhage of right and left lungs.” In addition to propofol, the autopsy discovered Jackson’s blood contained traces of lidocaine, diazepam, nordiazepam, lorazepam, midazolam and ephedrine. During an arraignment hearing Monday, Murray pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. If convicted, he faces up to four years in prison .
