One of the most anticipated projects of the year is one step closer to coming to life. J. Cole has confirmed the studio sessions for a new Dreamville Records compilation are done. As reported by  Complex the North Carolina MC has announced that all the recording for the  Revenge Of The Dreamers II I is in the bank. He took to Twitter to express his gratitude and excitement. “The Revengers sessions are done thank you to every artist and producer that came through. I love y’all, that sh*t was beautiful. The sessions were apparently invite only and the who’s who Hip-Hop were on call. Image via Gabe Palmer/EyeEm/Getty Firefighters Walk 100 Floors On Stairmaster For 9/11 9/11 is a tough time of year for many people, especially emergency rescue workers who lost their brothers and sisters who risked their lives hauling a$$ up the burning World Trade Center to help save lives. There are several ways in which people show their gratitude to the heroes of that day, these firefighters have a very specific and noble tradition. They put on their gear, head to a local gym and walk 100 floors on a stairmaster like so many men and women did on September 11, 2001. Rest in peace to those who gave their lives for others that day. Prayers for their family and friends.

Alex Rodriguez Joins 3,000 Hit Club… with a Home Run!

Even when he makes his own history, Alex Rodriguez cannot escape the shadow of Derek Jeter. The Yankees third baseman became the 29th member of baseball's iconic 3,000-hit club on Friday night, doing by in the same fashion as his former teammate when Jeter joined these ranks in 2013: A-Rod deposited the first pitch he saw from Justin Verlander over the right field wall for a home run. The blast gave the Yankees a 1-0 lead and resulted in Rodriguez's teammates greeting him outside the dugout with a series of hugs. Rodriguez, of course, is a known steroid user, liar and general tool of a human being.  But he's had a shocking bounce back season following a year-long suspension, remaining humble, saying the right things and producing at the plate. He may go down as the most confounding superstar athlete of all-time. Watch his historic home run here.

Taylor Swift has made a baby announcement!!! No, the singer is not expecting her first child. But Jesse and Lindsey Rasmussen had just gotten ultrasound photos of their precious package when they went to meet Swift during an event sponsored by Jesse’s place of work, 102.3 The Max in Louisville. So why not have music’s most popular superstar help them announce the major news to friends and loved ones?!? “We had the sign and the pictures with us sort of hidden just in case we chickened out,” Jesse tells E! News. “We were both kind of nervous. Then she walked into the room and just started hugging people. That was the cool thing. She didn’t just sort of shake your hand and say hi. “She comes up and hugs you and thanks you first.” Yup. Sounds like Taylor, doesn’t it? Upon asking Swift to help with their announcement, Jesse says she responded without “a hint of hesitation,” clearly “touched by the request.” Swift, of course, is well known for her close bond with fans. Over the past few months, two young fans actually created 1,989 paper cranes in tribute to Taylor’s sick mom… while Swift sent a moving letter to another fan whose mother has also been diagnosed with cancer. “She is a very sweet and genuine person and I hope to meet her again someday so I can express our gratitude and perhaps let her meet our little one (a future Swifty!),”  Jesse said . Good to see Naomi lending her support. Naomi Campbell Helps UN Women For Peace End Violence Against Women If only more celebrities would follow her example. According to Essence: In celebration of International Women’s Day, Naomi Campell joined the UN Women for Peace’s March To End Violence Against Women campaign on Friday. The supermodel joined other powerful female figures at the United Nations Building in New York City and marched through Manhattan to shed light on efforts towards rights and equality for women. Campbell delivered a speech at the event and was even moved to tears by the unity shown and the inspiring words shared throughout the day. She received praise for her emotional address and later tweeted her gratitude saying, “thank you was an honor to be #unwomenforpeace.” We’re sure Naomi will continue to inspire and help those in need.
