WELP! Cheezit Colored ‘Chief’ Reportedly Told Cohen To Lie To Congress About The Moscow Tower Project

Source: Alex Wong / Getty “Take This Quiz To See Which Misspelled Trump Word You Are—J/K, He Might Go To Jail Though!”— Buzzfeed Trump Reportedly Told Cohen To Lie To Congress About Moscow Tower Project Impeachment impending? Let us pray! BuzzFeedNews dropped a shocking report Thursday that’s damning to y’alls lil Cheezit colored cretin. In it, BuzzFeed reporters allege that Trump directed his longtime attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. Buzzfeed cites two federal law enforcement officials involved in an investigation of the matter. They add that Cheeo allegedly supported Cohen’s plan to visit Russia during the presidential campaign in order to personally meet President Vladimir Putin and jump-start the tower negotiations. They allege also that Cheeto’s children Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. were also WELL aware and received “regular, detailed updates about the real estate development from Cohen, whom they put in charge of the project.” Mueller is allegedly well versed in the matter and it seems like “Individual 1” is on borrowed time. “Special counsel Robert Mueller noted that Cohen’s false claim that the project ended in January 2016 was an attempt to “minimize links between the Moscow Project and Individual 1” — widely understood to be Trump — “in hopes of limiting the ongoing Russia investigations.” Now the two sources have told BuzzFeed News that Cohen also told the special counsel that after the election, the president personally instructed him to lie — by claiming that negotiations ended months earlier than they actually did — in order to obscure Trump’s involvement.” The whole thing is glorious and worth a read. Check it out here. Buzzfeed’s report is causing a stir in Congress and the House Judiciary Democrats are promising to investigate the allegations further. We know that the President has engaged in a long pattern of obstruction. Directing a subordinate to lie to Congress is a federal crime. The @HouseJudiciary Committee’s job is to get to the bottom of it, and we will do that work. — (((Rep. Nadler))) (@RepJerryNadler) January 18, 2019 Trump is, of course, denying any wrongdoing and hinting that Cohen lied to reduce his jail time. Cohen will publicly testify to the House Oversight Committee on Feb. 7 after pleading guilty to federal criminal charges. Kevin Corke, @FoxNews “Don’t forget, Michael Cohen has already been convicted of perjury and fraud, and as recently as this week, the Wall Street Journal has suggested that he may have stolen tens of thousands of dollars….” Lying to reduce his jail time! This Is Why Trump Comes Up When You Google “Idiot” & These Other Choice Words

Source: Taylor Hill / Getty On Tuesday, the CEO for Google, Sundar Pichai, found himself in an awkward situation when he had to explain Trump’s association with one particular word. According to The Verge , Pichai was being questioned at a House Judiciary Committee hearing where Congress people were trying to decide if Google manipulated search results based on political bias. When Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) stepped up to question Pichai, she wondered why pictures of Donald Trump were the first to show up when the word “idiot” was typed in Google image. “Right now, if you google the word ‘idiot’ under images, a picture of Donald Trump comes up. I just did that,” she said. “How would that happen?” Uuuum… Pichai was ready for Rep. Lofgren. He put forth a general explanation of how Google search engines work: “Any time you type in a keyword, as Google we have gone out and crawled and stored copies of billions of [websites’] pages in our index. And we take the keyword and match it against their pages and rank them based on over 200 signals — things like relevance, freshness, popularity, how other people are using it. And based on that, at any given time, we try to rank and find the best search results for that query. And then we evaluate them with external raters, and they evaluate it to objective guidelines. And that’s how we make sure the process is working” Any further questions Lofgren??? Luckily, Lofgren was on Pichai’s side and was trying to refute the idea that Google’s search engine was politically motivated. She followed up with another question… “So it’s not some little man sitting behind the curtain figuring out what we’re going to show the user?” Lofgren asked sarcastically. Pichai replied, “This is working at scale, and we don’t manually intervene on any particular search result.” News outlets peeped the “idiot” Trump results earlier this year.  They revealed that certain outside parties have something to do with Google’s search results. According to The Guardian , one reason Trump’s face is associated with the word “idiot” is because protesters used Green Day ‘s “American Idiot” song to soundtrack Trump’s trip to London. There’s also been an intentional campaign to associate Trump’s picture with the word by manipulating Google’s algorithms. A lot of this involved people up-voting a Reddit post containing a photo of him and the word “idiot.” Such tactics are known as “Google bombing.” Trump isn’t the first to get Google-bombed either. According The Verge , in the mid-2000s, searches for “miserable failure” notoriously returned results about President George W. Bush. So whether it’s Google bombers or natural Google algorithms, the word “idiot” and Trump can’t help but be linked together. What are ya gonna do.   With that being said, we thought we’d share some other words that seem to result in Trump’s face if you Google them. Hit the next pages to find out what they are. Remember… Google did it, not us.

Again, as we’ve seen in my earlier post , the fringe bigots have decided to flex their post-midterm gains at the state level to begin a campaign of misogyny to rid women of their reproductive autonomy through frightening legislation. Of course this runs neck and neck with homophobic bullsh*t bills like this in Montana (via JMG ): Today, the House Judiciary Committee heard a bill from Rep. Jeremy Scahill Testifies Before Congress on America’s Secret Wars

Nation national security correspondent Jeremy Scahill today testified before the House Judiciary Committee on the US's shadow wars in Pakistan, Yemen, and elsewhere. His complete testimony is below. My name is Jeremy Scahill. I am the National Security correspondent for The Nation magazine. I recently returned from a two-week unembedded reporting trip to Afghanistan. I would like to thank the Chairman and the Committee for inviting me to participate in this important hearing. As we sit here today in Washington, across the globe the United States is engaged in multiple wars. Some, like those in Afghanistan and Iraq, are well known to the US public and to the Congress. They are covered in the media and are subject to Congressional review. Despite the perception that we know what is happening in Afghanistan, what is rarely discussed in any depth in Congress or the media is the vast number of innocent Afghan civilians that are being killed on a regular basis in US night raids and the heavy bombing that has been reinstated by General David Petraeus. I saw the impact of these civilian deaths first-hand and I can say that in some cases our own actions are helping to increase the strength and expand the size of the Taliban and the broader insurgency in Afghanistan. Stephen Colbert To Testify Before Congress On Immigration

From the Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/22/stephen-colbert-testify-congress-immigr… Comedy Central host Stephen Colbert will be testifying before Congress on Friday about immigration during a hearing called “Protecting America's Harvest.” Colbert will be appearing with United Farm Workers (UFW) President Arturo S. Rodriguez before the House Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law. In August, the comedian spent a day working at a corn and vegetable farm in New York state after Rodriguez appeared on his show to discuss UFW's “Take Our Jobs” campaign. The effort was intended to debunk the theory that undocumented immigrants are taking jobs away from American citizens and highlight the fact the nation's food supply is dependent on these farm workers. “Farm workers are ready to welcome citizens and legal residents who wish to replace them in the field,” said the UFW site. “We will use our knowledge and staff to help connect the unemployed with farm employers.” According to a UFW press release, since the effort launched, “more than three million people have visited the campaign web site, www.takeourjobs.org . Of those visitors, 8,600 have expressed an interest in seeking employment as farm workers. Despite the numbers, only seven people have taken the UFW up on its offer to take a job in agriculture.” The “Take our Jobs” episode covering Colbert's day in the fields will air on “The Colbert Report” tonight, Sept. 22. It will also feature an interview with Rep. Zoe Lofregn (D-Calif.) on immigration reform. On Thursday, agricultural workers will be visiting congressional offices on Capitol Hill to lobby for the AgJOBS bill, which would grant undocumented farm workers currently in the United states the right to earn legal status by continuing to work in agriculture. According to The Daily Caller, Colbert will be appearing “in character,” and some Republicans are upset that he will be at the hearing because it may “make light of a serious issue.” added by: BRAVATRAVELS

CBS Dishonestly Touts ‘Non-Partisan Watchdog’ Group’s Quest for a ‘Criminal Investigation’ of Christine O’Donnell

“There are calls for a criminal investigation of another rising GOP star,” Katie Couric teased at the top of the CBS Evening News, after citing Sarah Palin’s speaking appearance in Iowa, as she elevated a publicity gimmick from a left-wing organization staffed by veterans of Democratic congressional offices. Though O’Donnell “took the spotlight today at a conservative summit in Washington,” Couric warned: “There may be trouble ahead for her. A watchdog group intends to call Monday for a criminal investigation of what it says is her chronic abuse of campaign funds.” Reporter Nancy Cordes painted O’Donnell as a hypocrite, charging that “even as she preached a return to fiscal conservatism, O’Donnell’s own unorthodox spending habits were starting to come under heavy scrutiny,” asserting “the unemployed O’Donnell used campaign funds to pay for meals, gas, bowling trips, and personal rent, even long after the campaign had ended.” CBS then gave a platform to veteran Democratic activist Melanie Sloan, who is now advancing her liberal agenda as Executive Director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). She alleged O’Donnell “just stole” campaign donations. Cordes legitimized CREW by misleadingly describing the obviously liberal outfit as “the non-partisan watchdog group” which “is urging the U.S. attorney in Delaware to open a criminal investigation.” Sloan got a second soundbite to declare: “It’s not sloppiness, it’s out-and-out theft.” (On Wednesday night, without attribution for the ideological label, Cordes cited “O’Donnell’s ultra-conservative social views.”)   Just how much of a “non-partisan watchdog” is CREW? “ CREW’s Crooked Candidates 2010 ” list, one of whom is O’Donnell, now features nine Republicans and just three Democrats, which suggests they are cover for the group’s real agenda. Looking at its own “ CREW crew ” page of brief staff bios, I saw no one with any past work for a conservative cause or Republican politician, but a bunch with records of working for liberal and Democratic officials, starting with Sloan: Ms. Sloan served as Minority Counsel for the House Judiciary Committee, working on criminal justice issues for then-Ranking Member John Conyers (D-MI). Ms. Sloan also served as Counsel for the Crime Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by then-Representative Charles Schumer (D-NY). There, she drafted portions of the 1994 Crime Bill, including the Violence Against Women Act. In 1993, Ms. Sloan served as Nominations Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee, under then-Chairman Joseph Biden (D-DE). Other staffers toiled previously for Democratic Senators Tom Harkin, Jeff Merkley, Daniel Inouye, Barbara Boxer and the late Paul Wellstone and Fritz Hollings. Another served in the office of Maryland Democratic Congressman Chris Van Hollen. Plus, one “performed strategic campaign research with the Service Employees International Union.” The “contact” name on CREW’s page proclaiming “ Tell the U.S. Attorney: Investigate Christine O’Donnell! ” is Garrett Russo. From the bio for Russo, CREW’s Communications Director: “Prior to joining CREW, Mr. Russo ran the National Press Desk for former Vice President Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection.” That page links to a petition page that features a video clip from Thursday’s Anderson Cooper 360: “CNN is already looking into the matter. Click here, or watch the YouTube clip below, to see their report.” ( larger jpg image of that Web page showcasing CNN’s story.) The story on the Friday, September 17 CBS Evening News, transcript provided by the MRC’s Brad Wilmouth: KATIE COURIC: Now to the Tea Party’s newest star, Christine O’Donnell, who scored an upset to take the GOP Senate nomination in Delaware this week. She took the spotlight today at a conservative summit in Washington, but there may be trouble ahead for her. A watchdog group intends to call Monday for a criminal investigation of what it says is her chronic abuse of campaign funds. Here’s congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes. NANCY CORDES: Christine O’Donnell, initially shunned by the Republican establishment, was embraced by it today, granted a plum speaking role at the annual Values Voters Summit in Washington, D.C., alongside the likes of Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. CHRISTINE O’DONNELL, DELAWARE REPUBLICAN SENATE NOMINEE: The small elite don’t get us. They call us wacky. They call us wing nuts. We call us, “We, the people.” CORDES: Delaware’s new Republican Senate nominee was at home in this crowd of social conservatives. But even as she preached a return to fiscal conservatism, O’Donnell’s own unorthodox spending habits were starting to come under heavy scrutiny. Staffers on her previous campaign for Senate and O’Donnell’s own financial filings reveal that the unemployed O’Donnell used campaign funds to pay for meals, gas, bowling trips, and personal rent, even long after the campaign had ended. MELANIE SLOAN, CITIZENS FOR RESPONSIBILITY AND ETHICS IN WASHINGTON: Well, I’ve never seen a candidate who just stole all their campaign money and used it for personal use. What it seems like here is Christine O’Donnell had no other way to support herself so she thought, okay, I’ll run for U.S. Senate. CORDES: The non-partisan watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, is urging the U.S. attorney in Delaware to open a criminal investigation. SLOAN: It’s not sloppiness, it’s out-and-out theft. CORDES: But today O’Donnell waved off her critics. O’DONNELL: Will they attack us? Yes. Will they smear our backgrounds and distort our records? Undoubtedly. CORDES: Republican Senate campaign leaders scheduled their first face-to-face meeting with O’Donnell today, but she canceled, saying she was just too tired after her whirlwind week.
