Feds Press For Daniel Pantaleo Charges For Eric Garner Death Before Trump Becomes POTUS In 48 hours the apocalypse will be upon us and the Federal prosecutors in D.C. know that big change is a-comin’. Thus, they are pressing the gas on getting former NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo charged with the chokehold death of Eric Garner according to the NYPost . A federal grand jury in Brooklyn is hearing evidence in the racially charged police killing of Eric Garner on Staten Island in 2014 — as prosecutors race to get an indictment before Donald Trump becomes president Friday, The Post has learned. Prosecutors from Washington, DC, are presenting the case to the panel, as they seek civil rights charges against white officer Daniel Pantaleo for using a chokehold barred by the NYPD on the black suspect, sources said. There is a growing fear that Trump’s Attorney General nominee, Sen. Jeff Sessions, has a racially biased past and will not seek to charge Pantaleo with civil rights violations. (Loretta) Lynch is now U.S. attorney general, and Trump has nominated U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) to succeed her, subject to Senate conformation. Sessions testified last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which plans to vote on Jan. 24. Sessions is expected to clear the committee, according to The Hill. Republicans control the Senate with 52 votes, and Sessions has the support of a potential swing vote, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.). Harvard University, home to the best and the brightest, now has an official club for the nastiest. Harvard University Approves Harvard College Munch Via HuffPo : Harvard College Munch for the BDSM set will be approved as a student organization on Friday, the Crimson reported. The expected go-ahead by the Committee on Student Life will entitle Munch to meet for lunch or dinner on campus, promote gatherings on school grounds and apply for grants from the school’s Drug and Alcohol Peer Advisors organization, the paper said. Once an informal gathering for like-minded individuals to discuss their proclivities in the bedroom without fear of being judged, Munch now has “institutional support” to provide reassurance for its members, its anonymous founder “Michael” said in the story. One member told the Observer that she had been hit with a riding crop, a belt and canes in a private Munch get-together. “Floggers are my favorite,” she said. There is historical precedent. The Iowa State University student government funded a bondage club in 2003, calling it a triumph for diversity, one publication reported. Now S&M clubs are increasingly popular at elite institutions as “50 Shades Of Grey” climbed the bestseller list, the Observer said. Columbia, Tufts, MIT and Yale have them, though the story did not say whether they were officially recognized. Assault cases from within some groups have sprung up as well, the paper said. But one Munch member told the Crimson that the club could provide a haven for those who engage in BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism) after they have been scarred by sexual abuse or other trauma. First CNN announces that SCOTUS spiked Obamacare, now CBS Los Angeles is announcing a greenlight on a film — The Big Lebowski 2 — that anyone with an ounce of common sense knows is not real. Picking up on a story from SuperOfficialNews.com (which sources “The Ass Press”) CBS Los Angeles invites fans of The Big Lebowski to “lift up your white russian!” According to the post, Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, John Turturro, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Julianne Moore are allegedly on board for a Lebowski sequel called The Big Lebowski 2: The Dude Goes To Washington . The premise has it that the local bowling alley is being turned into a parking garage and only The Dude’s son (Jesse Eisenberg), as the world’s youngest Congressman, can help. No diss to SuperOfficialNews.com, whose other joke pieces include Pat Robertson announcing he is gay and Facebook announcing a for-pay “gold account” , but this one is so… not-really-all-that-funny that I guess one could be forgiven for thinking it is real. Nevermind that the Coen Brothers have basically disowned The Big Lebowski , repeatedly shrugging off its cultural importance at press events and refusing to involve themselves in the ever popular Lebowski Fests.
