Deplorable: Terroristic Teens MAGA Mock Native American Elder In Viral Video

Source: George Frey/Getty Images / Getty Blame your Orange Piss POTUS… MAGA Hat Wearing Teenagers Mock Native American Elder Nathan Phillips A shocking video of terroristic teens rocking MAGA hats and mercilessly mocking a peaceful Native American man is going viral. Kaya Taitano, a student at the University of the District of Columbia, shared a video Friday of a smiling MAGA standing directly in the face of Nathan Phillips. Kaya told CNN that Phillips who was at the Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial, saw the teens shouting at a group of black teens who’d been preaching about the bible and he attempted to defuse the situation. Phillips used his drum to begin a “healing prayer” to defuse the situation. That’s when the teens who attend Kentucky’s Covington Catholic High School turned to him and began chanting “Build the wall” and “Trump 2020.” One musty lil MAGA in particular then got in his face. “This one kid just refused to move and he just got in Nathan’s face,” she said. “They just surrounded him and they were mocking him and mocking the chant. We really didn’t know what was going to happen there.” Phillips, a Vietnam veteran, told CNN that he just wanted to leave and the child blocked his escape. “I seen the angry faces and all of that, I realized that I’d put myself in a really dangerous situation,” said Phillips. […] “This young fella put himself in front of me and would not move.” People are calling for disciplinary action for the students and their high school as well as the Diocese of Covington have promised to “take appropriate action, up to and including expulsion.” “We condemn the actions of the Covington Catholic High School students towards Nathan Phillips specifically, and Native Americans in general, Jan. 18, after the March for Life, in Washington, D.C. We extend our deepest apologies to Mr. Phillips. This behavior is opposed to the Church’s teachings on the dignity and respect of the human person,” the statement read. Good, they can take their hateful MAGA mocking azzes elsewhere. Celebs are commenting on the video including none other than Stormy Daniels who said she’s suddenly in support of a wall—just as long as it’s in Kentucky. I'm suddenly in favor of building a wall…around Covington Catholic High in KY. And let's electrify it to keep those disgusting punks from getting loose and creating more vileness in society. — Stormy Daniels (@StormyDaniels) January 19, 2019 Continue reading

Buffalo Soldiers: Watch As A Herd Of Wild Buffalo Gather At Dakota Pipeline Protest [Video]

Nature Calls: Buffalo Herd Appear At Pipeline Protest This is — for lack of a better word — wild . We’ve been reporting on the protests going on at Standing Rock , which have largely been ignored by mainstream media — however it’s clear that Mother Nature is well aware of what’s happening. This video footage comes courtesy of the U.S. Uncut website : Indigenous culture honors American bison (known as Tatanka Oyate, or Buffalo Nation) as a symbol of sacrifice, as the bison give their lives to provide food, shelter, and clothing through the use of their meat and their hides. Native Americans maintain a spiritual tradition with bison, believing that as long as buffalo — a gift from the Great Spirit — roam free and as long as the herds are bountiful, the sovereignty of indigenous people would remain strong. And in the midst of mass arrests, mace attacks, and beatings from batons, a stampede of bison suddenly appeared near the Standing Rock protest camp. A cry of joy reportedly erupted from the Standing Rock Sioux, as they had been praying for assistance from the Tatanka Oyate during their standoff with riot police and national guardsmen. As the police response to the Sioux’s ongoing nonviolent civil disobedience escalates, tribal leaders are calling on state and federal governments to respect the constitutional rights of water protectors and stop the mistreatment of the indigenous community. “We call on the state of North Dakota to oversee the actions of local law enforcement to, first and foremost, ensure everyone’s safety. The Department of Justice must send overseers immediately to ensure the protection of First Amendment rights and the safety of thousands here at Standing Rock,” wrote David Archambault II, chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe. “DOJ can no longer ignore our requests.” Historically our government hasn’t been particularly considerate to the rights and well being of the indigenous people of this country. This ought to be a time for that to change. Hit the flip for the original video

Soccer Academies’ Ugly Side

The new cover story in The New York Times Magazine, “How a Soccer Star is Made,” is a long and detailed article about the intense training that has grown up around youth soccer academies in Europe and what American soccer organizations can learn from their way of doing what has become very big business. [Dutch soccer team] Ajax puts young players into a competitive caldron, a culture of constant improvement in which they either survive and advance or are discarded. It is not what most would regard as a child-friendly environment, but it is one that sorts out the real prodigies — those capable of playing at an elite international level — from the merely gifted. From a very early age — sometimes even before a boy has even started school — these players’ careers are contracted, licensed and traded — or in the typical parlance of the sport, bought and sold. As the New York Times reports: No one pretends that its business is other than what it is. “We sold Wesley Sneijder for a ridiculous amount of money,” [trainer Olav] Versloot said. “We can go on for years based on what he was sold for.” … [British team] Fulham, like Ajax, is often a seller of talent. It recently sold a 20-year-old to Manchester United for seven million pounds, or more than $10 million. “It’s a little ugly talking about the financial terms,” [Coach Huw] Jennings said. “I don’t like to do it. It feels not too far off from the slave trade.” With an estimated 10,000 boys being trained by clubs in England alone, the demand for young players — in quantity, at least — may be greater than the number of interested UK youth. Jennings said that his scouts, in response to the “unsuitability of the indigenous population of Britain” — children who are too sedentary and spend their time with video games — were increasingly focused “on the inner city of London, among Africans, Eastern Europeans and Caribbeans.” Even Drogba’s injury, which may keep him out of the World Cup, won’t stop poor boys who grew up playing soccer in dirt fields from wanting to be like him. For an upcoming episode of Vanguard, “Soccer’s Lost Boys,” I travelled to Africa and Europe to examine the dark side of this growing network of recruitment, and to track down the ambitious young African players whose dreams make them an easy target for shady scouts. Unlike European academies where players pay very little to train, these kids’ families are bilked of their meager savings with promises that their boys could be the next Drogba. What happens after that—boys abandoned along the way, often without any money, papers, or ability to return home to their families—is the tragic, ugly underbelly of the beautiful game.
