Exclusive: Jay Ellis Reveals Which Celebrity Friends He’d Trust To Get Him Out Of An “Escape Room”

Continue reading here:

Source: Sony / THE MRKT Jay Ellis is a busy busy man. Not only did he recently complete the third season of Insecure, he’s also got a few films in the works. The 36-year-old TV heartthrob is currently starring in the long awaited Top Gun sequel, “Top Gun: Maverick” and in 2019, we can expect to see him on the big screen in Escape Room . Escape Room tells the story of six strangers who find themselves in circumstances beyond their control and must use their wits to survive. What was initially a race to a huge cash prize turned into a desperate fight for their lives and according to Ellis, he loved every minute of shooting it. Escape Room will be the first time fans will get to see Ellis in an action film. According to the star, you’ll get to see him do martial arts, scale walls and so many other things we have not gotten to see him do on Insecure or The Game. (I mean, sex scenes are nice…really nice… but a fight scene? We can definitely dig that!) Source: Sony / THE MRKT Jay Ellis took a moment from his busy schedule to chat with Global Grind about the Escape Room film and who he’d choose to do an Escape Room with. He says that his very first escape room experience was after he got the role in this movie (which he shot last year so if you’re wondering, no his schedule did not interfere with Insecure ).  When asked about three celebrity friends he’d choose to help him master his escape room Jay Ellis chose: Idris Elba because he’s strong, chiseled and smart. These are all great things you’d want in someone you’re trusting your life with. John Legend is also very smart. They don’t call him the Legend for nothing. Niecy Nash will keep things fun and she’s very motivating. Motivation is key when trying to figure out puzzles and complete obstacles in an escape room. Niecy Nash is an amazing choice. When asked who he absolutely would not take on his Escape Room adventure, Jay Ellis says he’ll need to leave Neil Brown Jr. aka Chad from Insecure, at home. According to Jay, it’s much too risky. He and Neil are real live friends and they’d probably spend the entire time goofing off with each other to really get anything done. You gotta respect it. Escape Room hits theaters in January 4, 2019. Check out an exclusive trailer below!

#InsecureFinale Nathan Finally Explained Why He Ghosted Issa & People Are FED UP With His Excuse

Dorothy Hong/Team Epiphany “Insecure” Season 3 Finale Reactions Last night the season three finale of “Insecure” rightfully named “Ghost-Like” aired and the Issa V.S. Nathan drama finally came to a head. After Nathan popped up at Issa’s house after a MONTH STRAIGHT of being M.I.A. he was secretly shooed away by Molly who refused to let him ruin her bestie’s birthday. Later Molly admitted to Issa that she “had her back” and ghostbusted Nathan, but it backfired when Issa angrily stormed away and told Molly she overstepped her boundaries. Sometimes you gotta call out your friend on their ish. #InsecureHBO pic.twitter.com/xUYZP3446h — INSECUREHBO (@insecurehbo) October 1, 2018 Then in one of the final scenes, the showdown viewers have been waiting for finally happens. Nathan apologizes to Issa and tells her that he actually went back to Houston because he was feeling very negatively and just didn’t want to talk to anyone. It sounds a loooot like he was going through a depression but watchers never got a definitive answer either way. Issa: “You ghosted me and left LA because you were in a bad mood?” Nathan: “I wish I had a better explanation.” And while some people applauded “Insecure” for seemingly starting a slow leak on a mental health discussion… One thing Nathan’s storyline did do well today is show the impact that black men’s mental health issues can have on black women. Between him & Lawrence, Issa has dealt w/a lot from men who have depression. That impacts the partner too, not just the depressed person. #InsecureHBO — William Ketchum III (@WEKetchum) October 1, 2018 other people were fed up that that’s the ONLY EXCUSE Nathan had. Nathan, bruh, what else tho? That’s it? #insecurehbo — Katrina Wrensford (@katrinarw) October 1, 2018 That’s it Nathan? That’s all you got?! Pitiful. #InsecureHBO — is the moon in reggaeton? (@ItsSimplyKayla) October 1, 2018 Did YOU watch the “Insecure” finale??? More reactions on the flip.

As Requested: Here’s All The Music From Episode 6 Of ‘Insecure’ Season 3

Read the original post:

Source: Randy Shropshire / Getty Episode six of Insecure was a lot — and that’s summing it up as easily as possible. The episode started off promising. Issa and Nathan seem to be hitting it off nicely. He’s supporting her dreams and they seem to be very close to falling in love. Lawrence is back (Lawrence Hive can breathe again) and it seems he’s been having a lot of “fun” while he’s been away. Things aren’t going so well for Chad but that’s okay, he seems to be handling it well, right? Things seemed pretty peachy and all back to order, however somewhere in the middle of the episode it all went to hell — quickly! Dro is back in the picture and not for any good reason, Tiffany and Kelli have a falling out after Tiffany finds some new bourgeois pregnant friends to hang out with and our fave Nathan (aka Nanceford) has completely gone missing. He’s not answering her calls and he doesn’t have a voicemail set up. Something is wrong and he’s looking really sketchy. One thing that is never sketchy is Insecure’s playlist for the episode. This one was full of all the gems to make this dramatic rollercoaster of an episode less heart wrenching. Let’s get right into it, shall we? Leikeli47 – “Mulita” Leikeli47 makes back to back musical appearances on Insecure. After being featured on last week’s episode, she opens this week with an Insecure soundtrack original. What a perfect track to play while watching Lawrence’s excursions!   Hit the flip for more!

Insecure: Lawrence And Issa Dragged Each Other And Twitter Is Having A Brutal Civil War Over It

insecure lawrence issa Insecure Episode Causes Chaos Oh, you mad? Stay mad. After a full season of quickie reunions, awkwardness and passive aggressiveness, Issa and Lawrence finally had a knock down, drag out verbal fight on Insecure and it was ugly.
