Bear with us, because the source is a lil suspect, but this story was too incredible not to report. A 4-month-old baby’s life was saved in Nigeria’s Asaba, Delta state Saturday after she was buried in a shallow grave by her own father! According to web reports : Nigerian Police officials have concluded their investigation and it revealed that the baby girl was actually buried alive by her own father. This mishap happened in Asaba, Delta state, Nigeria on Saturday. Mr. Macaulay Onitcha is the father of the above baby. The 25-year-old laborer claimed he committed the ungodly act because he was hunhappy with his wife after she allegedly refused to sleep with him. The 4-month-old baby girl named Edna Macaulay was buried in a shallow grave dug by her own father on Saturday at Edurudu Street Kokori. Fortunately for little Edna, a good Samaritan who witnessed the burial rescued the girl. Mr. Saturday Ekama allegedly suffered machete cuts at the hands of Macaulay Onitcha while rescuing the child as her father was covering the grave. Ekama reported the incident to police. According to an official statement from Delta State police spokesman Mr. Muk: When the child was exhumed alive, she had a neck injury. Currently she is undergoing treatment at Saint Francis Hospital, Okapra Inland. The suspect is currently assisting the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Asaba in their investigations.” We are so relieved the child survived! Photo Credit

That would’ve been a fun birthday party ! According to CBS News : In two separate border crossings only a few hours apart, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized more than 425 pounds of mary and seven pounds of methamphetamine from two individuals attempting to enter the United States from Mexico. The two incidents took place at the Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales around midday. The first discovery occurred after officers detained Juan Marcelo Armstrong, 24, of Tucson, for additional inspection as he attempted to enter the United States. A narcotics detection canine searching the vehicle alerted CBP authorities to the presence of drugs. More than 425 pounds of mary jane were discovered in a shipment of piñatas in the bed of the vehicle. The second incident took place just a few hours later after officers referred Pedro de Jesus Magana-Caballero, 28, Sonora, Mexico, for additional inspection of his vehicle as he attempted to enter the U.S. Again, a narcotics detection canine searching the vehicle alerted CBP authorities to the presence of drugs. A package was discovered in the oil pan of the vehicle containing approximately seven pounds of methamphetamine. In both cases the individuals were arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations, while the drugs and vehicles were processed for seizure. Bishop Eddie Long’s Finances Put Under Microsope [VIDEO]

Before Bishop Eddie Long came under fire for settling sexual abuse charges against him out of court when he vowed to fight them, Long’s finances were under scrutiny in a congressional investigation by Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley. WSB-TV starting looking into Long’s assets more than six months ago. Now with his wife Vanessa filing for divorce, Long’s finances are under the microscope. WSB-TV found very little paperwork because the church and its dozens of affiliated companies file very few public documents. Records show Long’s assets have been intertwined with New Birth’s assets for years, including New Birth paying approximately $200,000 in property taxes for Long and $85,000 in taxes for his private plane. Long’s financial troubles appear to be mounting. In addition to the undisclosed financial settlement to five young men who accused him of sexual abuse last summer, records show Long has agreed to pay nearly $2 million to settle a defaulted bank loan, he owes $200,000 to a developer, and in October church members sued Long for over $1 million in failed investments sold by a man he endorsed. WSB-TV requested an interview with Long, but a spokesperson told reporter Jodie Fleischer the bishop was too busy. The Britney Spears tape upon which Jason Alexander claims his ex-wife detailed the beating she took at the hands of Jason Trawick appears to be bogus. Alexander told Star that Spears’ boyfriend beat her up , and she didn’t call the cops because she feared a leak. He then leaked the tape to Radar Online . But a highly-respected audio expert tells TMZ that Jason Alexander’s tape of Britney Spears “has been electronically stepped on,” i.e. doctored. A lot. Britney and Jason in a show of public solidarity yesterday . Tom Owen of OWL Investigations is Chairman of the Audio Engineering Society Standards Committee of Forensic Audio. He says the tape was altered , badly. So much so, he can’t even do a meaningful voice-recognition test. Owen says the tape has been “stepped on at least 3 times” with noise reduction, equalization and removal of aspects like timbre, sibilance and tonal qualities. So did Alexander get punked or was he in on this from the get-go? Regardless, the expert says Britney Spears has a “very vanilla voice” and with modest manipulation it wouldn’t be difficult to make someone sound like her. Kind of explains all the crappy Britney clones in music, on a side note. Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, adamantly denies it’s her on the tape and may take legal action. For her part, Spears went to Trawick’s office yesterday. She spent time with Jason inside the William Morris Entertainment building, where he works as an agent (formerly her agent), left by car, then returned. All in full view of the media, surely as a public showing of solidarity. Jason Trawick was also seen outside the building and appearing calm, rather than nervous or ducking for cover. He is equally adamant the tape is bogus.

In what appears to be the latest phase of a far-reaching federal crackdown on online piracy of music and movies, the Web addresses of a number of sites that facilitate illegal file-sharing were seized this week by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a division of the Department of Homeland Security. Users of the Web site torrent-finder.com saw this message after the site was seized on Friday. By Friday morning, visiting the addresses of a handful of sites that either hosted unauthorized copies of films and music or allowed users to search for them elsewhere on the Internet produced a notice that said, in part: “This domain name has been seized by ICE — Homeland Security Investigations, pursuant to a seizure warrant issued by a United States District Court.” In taking over the sites’ domain names, or Web addresses, the government effectively redirected any visitors to its own takedown notice. “ICE office of Homeland Security Investigations executed court-ordered seizure warrants against a number of domain names,” said Cori W. Bassett, a spokeswoman for ICE, in a statement. “As this is an ongoing investigation, there are no additional details available at this time.” Among the domains seized were torrent-finder.com and those of three sites that specialized in music: onsmash.com, rapgodfathers.com and dajaz1.com. TorrentFreak, a news blog about BitTorrent — a file-sharing system that has tended to elude the authorities because it is decentralized — said that at least 70 other addresses had been seized, most belonging to sites related to counterfeit clothing, DVDs and other goods.
