Ben Affleck: Back Together With Lindsay Shookus!!!

On Sunday night, the New England Patriots ground and pounded their way to a 13-3 victory over the LA Rams in what’s being called the most boring Super Bowl in history. (And it’s not even snooze-worthy Maroon 5 halftime show that earned the game that dubious distinction.) As far as we know, lifelong Pats fan Ben Affleck was not in attendance at the game, but it’s not entirely clear why Beantown Bennie decided to sit this one out. Perhaps like the rest of the world, Ben realized that a Pats victory was basically a foregone conclusion. And since Affleck is newly sober, he might not have felt like getting doused in Sam Adams by a bunch of celebratory Massholes. Of course, the fact that he’s kicked the sauce isn’t the only major change in Affleck’s life in recent months. According to E! News, Ben is back together with SNL producer Lindsay Shookus ! As you may recall, Ben and Lindsay began dating  back in 2017. The relationship got so serious so fast that there were rumors Ben and Lindsay were engaged . A source tells E! that Ben and Lindsay have been on and off for longer than anyone realizes (So maybe there was some truth to those rumors that he started dating Lindsay while he was still married to Jennifer Garner !), and they’ve never been able to quit one another for very long. “They’ve known each other for years and there have been other periods of time where they didn’t speak. But they always seem to end up talking again.” Ben and Lindsay broke up last year, allegedly because his drinking had once again spiraled out of control. Now, however, it seems they’re right back where they started … well, sort of. The insider claims that while Ben and Lindsay are “spending time together” (which almost certainly means hooking up), but they’re not ready to make their relationship official again just yet. It seems Affleck feels that things are going well for him for the first time in quite some time, and he doesn’t want to rock the boat with any major announcements. “Ben is in a really good place right now. Both health-wise and with his family,” another source tells E! News. “Ben has been concentrating on being a doting father and has been spending time with his kids and Jen.” Affleck is so focused on his recovery and his family that he’s reportedly stepped away from his role as Batman in the DC cinematic universe. So perhaps Ben’s new focus on stability explains why he decided to steer clear of Atlanta during Super Bowl week. Or maybe grown adult and long-suffering Buffalo Bills fan Lindsay just didn’t want to run the risk of having to watch Ben fall off the wagon and lock lips with Tom Brady, a la Bob Kraft. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Finalize Divorce After 3-YEAR Separation!

Well, it’s never pleasant when a couple gets divorced, but in this case, the news might be cause for celebration. After three years of ups, downs, rehabs, relapses, marriage counseling, and accusations of nanny-banging, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have finalized their divorce . Radar Online is reporting today that a judgment in Affleck and Garner’s court case was entered in Los Angeles Superior Court today. Which means that for the first time since 2005, Ben and Jen are both legally single. The emphasis here is on “legally.”  Garner is dating businessman John Miller these days, and Ben may or may not still be involved with 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton. Not only does the selection of current partners speak volumes about the difference in personalities and priorities that likely contributed to the couple’s decision to split it also serves as a reminder of how long it’s been since these two parted ways. When Ben and Jen separated, Obama was in office and Batman was most recently portrayed on screen by Christian Bale. Hell, Affleck had a whole long-term relationship with Lindsay Shookus — complete with marriage rumors — between his relationships with Garner and Sexton. Affleck has been to rehab at least twice in the time since he parted ways with Garner. We say this not to shame the guy, but to point out that it has been a really long time since he moved out of the home he once shared with Garner. To be fair, the process didn’t take so long simply due to indecisiveness on Ben and Jen’s parts (though there was certainly some of that.) In fact, it had a bit to do with Affleck’s multiple rehab stints and Garner’s desire to do right by her kids. Sources close to the former couple say Jen wanted to work out an amicable custody arrangement before finalizing the divorce but couldn’t bring herself to trust Affleck alone with the kids until he got serious about getting sober. At some point in the past few months, he was apparently able to convince her that all is well, as Affleck filed divorce papers while still in rehab And so ends one of the great love stories of the 21st Century. We know what you’re thinking — aren’t Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner already divorced ?! The answer, skeptical reader is no. No, they are not. And we imagine some folks — like, say, Ben’s longtime girlfriend Lindsay Shookus — are beginning to wonder why these two are so hesitant to pull the trigger. The official reason is that there have been delays with regard to the couple hammering out a mutually agreeable arrangement for custody of their three children. But that explanation doesn’t tell the whole story. Part of the reason the whole process has taken years instead of months is that Affleck and Garner nearly reconciled on several occasions. Even after Garner filed for divorce in 2016, she and Ben were spotted attending couple’s therapy session. These days, it seems they’ve fully made up their minds that they’re not right for each other. In fact, there have been rumors that Affleck would like to marry Shookus as soon as possible. Unfortunately, Ben and Jen have dragged their feet so long that they might soon be forced to start the whole process over from the beginning. According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Affleck and Garner were recently cautioned that if they don’t act soon, their case will be thrown out of the system. “This is your third notice of case review,” the document states . “If you fail to take the appropriate steps in your case, the Court may dismiss your case for delay in prosecution.” Turns out, even if you’re rich and famous, the courts won’t just keep your divorce petition in limbo forever while you figure out how to divide up the alpaca farm. Whatever happens next is sure to be at least mildly interesting. Either Ben and Jen get divorced, thus bringing our long national nightmare to an end — or they decide to drag things out even longer. If they opt for the latter, we can’t imagine Ben’s SNL producer girlfriend will be up for waiting around much longer. If Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande have taught us anything, it’s that the live from New York set has no trouble attracting A-list significant others these days. Ben Affleck & Lindsay Shookus: Planning a Wedding Even Though He’s Still Married?!

It’s been almost a year since the world first learned that Ben Affleck and Lindsey Shookus are dating , and these days, the couple is reportedly ready to take the next step together. Unfortunately, there are some sizable barriers blocking their path. According to a new report from Entertainment Tonight Lindsey is seeking a commitment from Ben, who seems hesitant to pop the question. But to his credit, there’s a very good reason for that: “Lindsay and Ben are very much in love,” a source tells the outlet. “During Ben and Jennifer [Garner’s] split, Lindsay truly felt villainized. Every day she spent with Ben out in the world for people to see felt like another day of public scrutiny, but her love for Ben was worth it,” the insider adds.  “They both learned to stick by each other during those painful months.” See, therein lies the issue. The source makes it sound like Affleck and Garner’s split was an ugly chapter in their lives that’s now over and done with. But the fact is Ben and Jen still aren’t divorced . Yes, despite the fact Affleck and Garner have been separated for three years, they’re still legally married. We’re sure that’s primarily because of legal and financial entanglements, but still … Lindsay probably isn’t too thrilled about the situation. The insider adds that Ben and Lindsay are planning to spend their lives together, but have thus far avoided any public discussion of marriage: “Ben has worked incredibly hard on his sobriety and Lindsay has been his rock. He will be forever grateful for all her love and support,” says the source. “They are both constantly being asked if they are planning to tie the knot, but for now they taking it one day at a time.” It’s good that he’s taking his recovery seriously, but we can’t help but think Ben’s leaning pretty hard on that “but, babe, my sobriety” excuse: “Ben knows he loves Lindsay, but he wants to take things slow for the sake of his sobriety. Rare is the Hollywood actor whose personal life is more dramatic than the roles he plays onscreen. In the case of Ben Affleck, the gap is so wide that we wish he’d put this Batman nonsense to rest and focus on producing a livestreaming, 24-hour, Truman Show -esque documentary about his day-to-day existence. Last week, Ben was in a motorcycle accident  while rushing to meet his family at church. (If that doesn’t sound like a superhero origin story, we don’t know what does.) Now, it seems Jennifer Garner is deeply concerned about Ben’s safety and has strongly encouraged her ex to put the bike on blocks. And by “strongly encouraged,” we mean she went off on him in front of the other soccer moms. Yes, it seems the exes were watching their 5-year-old son Samuel on the field when Jen flipped on Ben seemingly out of nowhere. “She doesn’t want her kids to grow up without a dad,” one insider tells Radar Online. “Jen believes he’s being incredibly childish and selfish,” the source adds. “She believes he needs to start acting more like a dad and less like a kid.” The source adds that the battle of Jen vs. Ben was a mostly one-sided affair. “Jen emptied out on Ben, and he seemed to be on the offensive,” the onlooker claims. “She only seemed to calm down when Samuel got close to them.” It seems part of the reason Garner was so upset is the fact she simply doesn’t approve of Affleck’s relationship with Lindsay Shookus, the SNL producer whom he’s been dating for over a year. “Jen’s fed up with Ben’s behavior – especially since they agreed to divorce,” one insider tells Radar. “She doesn’t like Lindsay and says she’s a bad influence on him.” There’s no word on why Jen doesn’t approve of Lindsay, but it’s not hard to guess. Brian Gravely: Dating Leah Messer?!

Has Leah Messer found a special new man in her life? If you watch Teen Mom 2 online , you’re well aware that the twice-married mother of three has had a long, turbulent romantic history. One that’s continuing with this handsome dude? “I just love his face!” Leah captioned this image. Indeed, it’s a nice face. One worthy of a heart-eyed and kissing emoji, which she also added along with a tag of the mystery man’s name. Brian Gravely, according to his Instagram account, owns Famous Superstars, a South Carolina-based tumbling and cheerleading school.  Given her daughters’ interest in those activities, it would make sense that Leah Messer might have made his acquaintance somehow. And while she clearly loves him … it’s not like that . Leah took to Twitter to set the record straight about Brian … who had better not be her mystery man, as far as his spouse is concerned! Yes, Brian is already married, and hopefully his husband got a kick out of this as much as the oft-maligned MTV reality star did. Despite being linked to Scotty Ayre this spring, Leah has largely been taking time off from dating to focus on herself and her daughters. That sigh of relief is from all of Teen Mom Nation. The last confirmed romance Messer was in was with T.R. Dues , a personal trainer she met following her divorce from Jeremy Calvert. That union lasted a decently long time, though he was reluctant to appear on her social media accounts, let alone be filmed for MTV. They were rumored to be living together and his two kids were “considered to be a part of Leah’s family,” though things fizzled eventually. The combination of her divorce from Calvert and her custody battle with her first ex-husband, Corey Simms, both led to serious strain. “She wants to look like a stable single mom to the judge in order for her to get her girls back,” a source close to her said at the time.  T.R. Dues may have paid the price for that, as “Leah knows that it doesn’t look good for her to have a new man in the house already.”  Jeremy allegedly had some strong opinions about this setup as well, especially since he shares his only daughter, Adalynn, with Leah. Says another family source: “When mutual friends told Jeremy about this new guy, he called Leah and flipped out for letting a stranger hang around Addie.” Leah initially denied the relationship with Dues, saying that it wasn’t official, only to confess later that something’s going on,” an insider said. As we said, Messer and Dues parted ways before it became a thing – a thing that impacted her custody situation with either ex, anyway. Speaking of Calvert, his own dalliances with Messer after their divorce may have resulted in the end of his subsequent engagement.  In a sneak peek for Teen Mom 2 (the new season of which begins tonight on MTV), we learned that Brooke Wehr read his phone records . He explains to Leah on FaceTime that after this occurred, he “came home to all my sh-t just being everywhere” ’cause Brooke “lost her sh-t.” Gonna be a crazy season.
